"Shhh…" Max placed a finger on her lips. He tilted his head as if he were listening to something. Then his expression turned serious. "Stay here…" he said before leaving the room. Eve raised an eyebrow. She quickly closed her eyes and spread her magic around the house.
The winds outside were getting stronger, but aside from that, she could not sense anything else.
Did he… sense something outside? Frowning, she quickly spread her magic further away from the house. The stronger the sorcerer, the further their senses could spread. Eve couldn't shake off the feeling that something was happening outside—something she could not sense. With a furrowed brow, she closed her eyes and let her magic wander around the villa.
