"Demyan, we're going to have children, you don't need to stress about it," I tried to reassure him but he shook his head.
"You're turning forty soon Ethan," he sobbed, "You didn't want to wait too long. You said you planned to start by Belli's birthday. It's passed now and we still have no success. I feel like I'm wasting your time."
I was not sure what to say as I blinked as I tried to frantically search my brain for the right words but it felt like I had hit a brick wall. "It doesn't change things between us. I'm still willing to wait."
"Maybe you should continue without me. I don't want to deprive you of having another child. Belli deserves to have more brothers and sisters. I don't want to stand in the way of that."
I ran my hand down my face before I let out a heavy sigh, "Where is all of this coming from?"
