I Don't

Ethan

I watched Demyan for a long time as he moved around his hotel suite's kitchen to make me a cup of tea since I had been walking outside at night looking for a florist open at this hour so I could get him a bouquet.

There was something about him that had me deeply confused as he avoided my gaze for quite some time.

"Did you cut your hair?" my eyebrows furrowed as my lips pursed and shock flooded my system, "Demyan, you cut your hair!"

He looked back at me with a sheepish smile before he nodded, "Do you like it?"

"You look beautiful but-" I found myself tearing up as I looked down, "You always had your hair, it's just a bit of a shock. I feel very guilt because I stressed you so much."

"Ethan, it was my choice. I just wanted something new. I just didn't want to be myself for a few hours," he sighed as he sat down opposite me on the dining table and pushed my cup of tea forward.
