Eternal Veins: Bound by Blood and Love

"Why all this darkness?" It has been haunting my mind for an eternity. I've treaded through its depths for a while now, yet I hold onto the conviction that there's always a glimmer of light at the end of every daunting tunnel. I keep moving forward until I finally come across an old castle, its darkness as impenetrable as ever. I recognize this place as the recurring backdrop of my dreams. This is where the vision always halts, the vision that's been with me since I was a 16-year-old girl. And now, as a mature woman, I've decided that today is the day I'll step inside that ancient castle, seeking answers to the mysteries that have plagued me. ..................................... "Now that you know who I am... do you still hold love for me?" His voice is calm, his expression unreadable. "Yes, I still love you," I respond, my heart unwavering. "No matter your identity, my heart remains bound to you. I yearn to spend the rest of my days wrapped in your embrace."

chapter 9-10 I have to be my self now

"If we are strong, our strength will speak for itself. If we are weak, words will be of no help." ~ John F. Kennedy

...

"Don't kill her now; her blood is precious. It can't just be wasted on this land except in the realm where none of the beasts will perceive the odor," a voice said as I began to wake up. My head throbbed, and I struggled against my restraints. My eyes were covered, rendering me blind to my surroundings.

"She's awake," another voice chimed in, and fear clenched my heart as I realized I was not alone. "Who are you? Who are you?" I stammered in fear, prompting a slap across my face. Pain radiated from my cheek as the voice scolded me to be quiet. "Tie her mouth and let her see us," the same voice ordered, and soon my eyes were uncovered, revealing my captors.

I found myself tied to a chair, my vulnerability laid bare before them. "Such a beautiful lady. Are you fated to save the world from being berserk?" the man before me mused, touching my skin with grimy fingers. Disgust mingled with my fear as I recoiled. "Don't touch me with that filthy hand!" I cried out, met with another slap from the woman who had hit me before. "Listen, woman. Your blood and the blood of the monster who will cause the berserk will be drunk by us, and we'll become immortal and rule the world," she laughed sinisterly.

"Ruby, let's prepare how to move out of here before we're caught," the man named Zain interjected with concern. My mind raced to make sense of their words. Immortality, berserk, monsters—none of it added up. Confusion clouded my judgment, and I gathered my courage to speak. "I am not afraid of storms, for I am learning how to sail my ship. You will all be caught!" I shouted defiantly, but my words only elicited laughter from my captors.

"Zain, what are we going to do with Kai, he who betrayed his master and brought his daughter here?" Ruby's voice carried a note of disdain. "We're going to kill him before her," Zain replied, sealing my conviction that their intentions were malevolent. But who was Kai, and what was his connection to me?

Before I could ponder further, the pair tied Ruby up and threw her in the backseat of the car. With swift instructions, they drove away in a convoy of three black sedans. As the cars disappeared from sight, they left behind a trail of questions and a sense of foreboding.

On the other side, Alex and Jessy's father, Mr. Felix, were in a state of distress. "Sir, here is John. He's a hacker. I'll kindly present him to hack all the CCTV cameras and footage," Alex said urgently. Without hesitation, Mr. Felix led them to his private room, driven by the urgency of the situation. "Miss Jessy was kidnapped, as shown by CCTV footage from the MK Pharmacy shop," Alex informed, his sense of purpose unyielding.

In the blink of an eye, Alex was at the wheel of a car, his foot heavy on the accelerator, disregarding traffic signals and speed limits. He gave orders to his men, while John worked tirelessly to hack into the CCTV footage, relaying updates to Alex.

...

Inside the moving car, I remained tied up, my attempts to struggle met with the fierce resistance of the man behind me. Suddenly, he injected something into my neck, and a wave of dizziness washed over me. My vision blurred, and my body felt heavy as I lost consciousness once again.

Through their quick calculations and John's assistance, Alex and Mr. Felix managed to track down the location. Arriving at the dock, chaos erupted as gunshots rang out and people screamed. The showdown had begun, with Alex and his men clashing against the enemy forces. The harbor turned into a battleground, and the echoes of gunfire painted a picture of danger and desperation.
