Lucian glanced up from his work as the man in the black coat delivered a message, "You've received a message from your father."
"Any updates about my sister?" Lucian inquired, his concern evident.
"No, but we've been trying hard," the man responded, "What we've gathered is that she's left the country. Regarding the message, you're to meet at Mr. Alex's house tonight for some plans."
Lucian asked about the upcoming executive meeting, "What time are we meeting with the executives?"
"Thirty minutes from now, sir," the secretary informed him.
"Take this file with me. And what about 'You Are Mine' fashion design?" Lucian inquired as he prepared to leave his office.
"Everything is going well with that," the secretary replied.
"Good," Lucian acknowledged, heading towards the exit.
"Sir, a lady is waiting for you at the entrance," the secretary interjected.
"Who is she?" Lucian asked, intrigued. As he approached her, he lightly tapped her shoulder, only for her to swiftly turn and twist his hand.
"Ouch!" Lucian exclaimed in pain, drawing the attention of the gathered crowd. Looking at her face, Lucian was taken aback. The lady before him was breathtakingly beautiful, resembling an angel.
"Oh, sorry," she said, releasing his hand.
"What? Miss Hero!" Lucian exclaimed in surprise. He remembered an incident at a restaurant where a man had tried to harass a lady, and no one had come to her aid except for this young woman. She had left a lasting impression on him, but she had been avoiding him since then.
"Miss Hero? 'Hero' is used for a male. Hahaha. Who are you... oh!" She recognized him as well and attempted to flee, but Lucian pursued her, catching her by the arm.
"Ouch... Miss Hero, don't try to run again. I could sue you for injuring me. You'll need to take my hand first; it's hurting," Lucian remarked, feigning pain.
"This was a mistake," she defended herself.
"Well, this is an opportunity to rectify that mistake. I'm heading for a meeting, and you're going to be my personal bodyguard for today. Take care of my hand; it'll need a week to heal. Deal or no deal?" Lucian proposed, his tone laced with a playful challenge.
"What?" She was taken aback by his unexpected proposal.
"Please fill out this form," the secretary instructed her, handing her a paper.
"For what?" She asked, perplexed.
"I'm suing you," Lucian clarified, maintaining a composed demeanor.
"Deal," she agreed, a smirk playing on her lips.
