Fulfilling Promises

Author's Note: This work has received major editing(compared to the other work) and has been reposted, do note that the original work is also mine though(Limitless Chat Group in the multiverse). Starting from chapter 7, it's all completely new content. I also figured out that, instead of posting every day and burning myself out juggling between writing and the rest of my life, I could get a release schedule... so here it is:

"The winner, by knockout, is "Demon Incarnate" Lostoro!"

"Prior to this match, many fighting fans have argued that Lostoro didn't embody his monicker but, after tonight, he's proved all his haters wrong and that he's 100% worthy of his nickname "Demon Incarnate"!!"

While the commentating table was assessing Zoro's performance, the spectators, either on scene, or from a distance, all erupted in thunderous cheers, applauding both Zoro and Tokito for their swordsmanship contest.

"Such an amazing fight!"

"I'll never forget this card! So many incredible fights!"

"Wasn't this match comparable to the Floor Master challengers' matches?!"

While everyone at the arena was glossing over Zoro's achievement, the man himself calmly went backstage to prepare himself for the fighters' post fight interviews. Surprisingly, just as Zoro was about to leave his personal locker room, both Mereoleona and Cillian intercepted him.

"Congratulations Zoro! Remember what I told you. It was an exciting match that you would've only been able to confidently win after learning nen, am I right?"

Dejectedly sighing, Zoro answered:

*Sigh* "I have to admit it. This time, you're correct. That 'Tokito' guy's swordsmanship seems to be made specifically to defeat my type of swordsmanship. He swings his sword gracefully and swiftly, aiming to dispatch his opponent after thoroughly tiring him out, phiscally and mentally, via the countless illusions and mirages his swordsmanship provides. I, on the other hand, focus on the pure strength of my sword techniques and aim to finish off my adversary by overwhelming them with strong selective slashes. Overall, I have to admit that if we were at the exact same body strength and swordsmanship level, his sword... could... eventually... defeat mine."

"That's nice to know, do you both still remember our goals in this world?"

[First Side-Mission:

Location: HunterxHunter World, Heaven's Arena

Side Objective 2: Beat the Clown

Side Objective 3: Invite one of the potential members

"Both of you just opened the 'Side-Mission' interface, right?"

"..." 

"...yes"

"Anyway, as you can see, we've all completed the Side-Mission's main objective and first side objective. As the group chat's admin, you can leave the third side objective to me. As for the second objective, I'm almost sure that the "Clown" the unorthodox group chat is referring to is on the 200th Floor. Honestly speaking, I'd like Mereoleona to fight the "Clown", any objections Zoro?"

Letting out a conflicting grunt, Zoro thought about his match tonight that put him in a good mood, meanwhile Mereoleona's who had a rather lacklustre opponent and curtly answered: 

"No."

"Wonderful. To be honest, I believe that there's a something akin to a secret or hidden objective that we can complete, but that's just speculation so you shouldn't worry about it for now. I told you this so that if you encounter any kind of strange event, be sure to notify the rest of us, ok?"

"Sure."

"Mhm."

Having received confirmation from his fellow group chat members, Cillian changed subject and suggested: 

"It's almost time, why don't we head towards to venue? Is the man of the night ready?"

"Yeah, let's get going."

On their way towards the post fight interviews, Cillian glanced at the time left for the Side-Mission and thought to himself:

'According to cannon, Gon and Killua should be arriving Heaven's Arena in the next few days. I wonder if the secret/hidden mission is related to them... Honestly speaking, I'm not even sure who's this plane's protagonist...'

While the trio was walking towards the interviewers, they saw Wing, waiting at the corridor leading to the venue. Before any of the group chat members could even greet Wing, he faced Cillian and asked:

"Remember what you've told me before?"

Showing slight intrigue to what Wing was about to say, Cillian replied:

"Yeah?"

(A/N: Referring to the promise Wing made to answer Cillian's request for him to join their group in chapter 24: Ten, Ren, Zetsu and Hatsu.)

"While watching Lostoro's tenacity and unshakable will, even when faced with powerful and formidable sword strikes and phantoms swords, I've figured it out, Cillian! If I can't save everyone at my own expense, I'll simply get strong enough so that I can save everyone with no effort!"

Genuinely happy with his own response, Wing let go of the guard he had subconsciously put on, stopping him from reaching a higher nen level and laughed.

At this moment all three group chat members had the same thought: 

'Why does it seem like Wing's suddenly become more reliable?'

Cillian continued this thought process and, with a small smile on his face, thought to himself:

'What a protagonist-esque declaration...'

Realising what he had to do, Cillian then said:

"That's great... But do you have the determination to reach those level?!"

Replacing his slightly warm expression with an icy cold one, Cillian exerted his unique aura, a mixture of the bloodthirst gained through slaughtering the dungeon's monsters, his perfect mind, body and soul fusion and his recently acquired 2 Star level nen, specifically onto Wing.

Although Wing had already experienced Cillian's aura before, it wasn't at full power and Cillian'd managed to regain almost perfect control moments after his aura was released. It wasn't even as concentrated as it is now.

'I severely underestimated him!!'

Managing not to directly kneel down, Wing's thoughts went on at lightning speeds as he prepared to mobilise all his nen into his most powerful Ren yet.

'Even with my breakthrough to 3 Star nen level due to my realisation a few seconds ago that released the emotional block I had inadvertently placed upon myself, it's still difficult to endure this pressure with Ten alone. Let's try this... Ren!'

Showing off his recently upgraded nen, almost all the pressure that Wing was experiencing dissipated. Sensing Wing's ren, Cillian asked Great Sage:

'Great Sage, is this really the Ren of a recently upgraded 3 Star nen master?'

[Answer: Affirmative and Negative. The Ren emitted by the entity 'Wing' is at the 3 Star level but is also being fuelled by a mysterious source that's fundamentally connected to nen.

Most Likely Option: The Ren that entity 'Wing' is emitting is being fuelled by the entity's emotions, such as his determination.]

'Interesting...'

Sorry for the delay. Answering a few comments about the recent delays occurring:

Yeah... I'm trying to keep on schedule but it's really hard to do so with how busy I am right now. On top of it all, I take my time writing to make sure I meet the minimum quality standard and chapter length I've committed myself to. Therefore, although for the next few weeks the chapters may sometimes be coming out with a slight delay, I'll be trying my hardest to maintain my 3 chapters per week ratio.
