I'm here

YUHI

The constant beeping that echoed around the otherwise silent room roused him from his deep slumber.

A single thought crossed his mind.

'Where am I?'

That thought, followed by severe pain all over his body. His eyelids felt heavy, but the pain in his body seemed to increase with each breath he took. He was struggling to steady his blurred vision. He knew he was in a room somewhere, but he didn't know where. There was an annoying beeping sound coming from somewhere close by.

Yuhi mustered the remaining strength in his body to open his eyes.

It took a full five minutes for the world around him to make sense, for the blurred shapes to turn into something he could recognize. Those blurred shapes turned into plain white walls, white bed sheets, a breathing machine, heart monitor and loads of chairs surrounding his bed.
