However, she did not know that her sister had dug a trap for her, and it was not the beginning of her new life, rather it was her new hell. She was forced to give up her training as a doctor because the respectful Mrs Nelson could not have her hands covered in blood. Ari agreed. For the sake of Noah, she became a perfect wife who took care of her in-laws and husband. However, what waited for her was nothing but insults, her husband was ashamed of her and her mother-in-law believed that her sister, Ariel was well-matched for her son. However, Ari persisted. Heartbroken, Ariana decided to divorce her husband, but she somehow found herself entangled with Nicolai. The enemy and rival of her husband. They were not meant to be together. But Nicolai doesn’t seem to care about the odds stacked against them. In fact, he was determined to break into Ari’s life and set everything on fire. In his drunken stupor, he once held her by her throat against the wall of a dingy pub, “You can deny it all you want princess, but you want me.” His eyes raked over her heaving chest and his eyes darkened, the red appearing unhinged, possessive as if he wanted to wrench her soul out of her body and embed it in his own. “Bet if I take a peek, you will be dripping wet for me.” Heat flared up Ariana's cheeks as she snarled, “Shut up.” “Make me,” said Nicolai as he smashed his lips on hers. His kisses burned into her soul, and his warmth seared her skin every time they touched. She thought that her biggest mistake was getting entangled with Nicolai. However, Ari soon realised the hard way, Literally, being wanted by such a beautiful nightmare was much worse than a mistake. And things turn complicated when her husband finds the truth about everything. “Shoot me in the heart, Ari,” said Noah as he brought the gun's nozzle where his heart lay. “Because a life without you is one that I don't want, so either kill me or come back. I beg of you.” Now that Nicolai had given her a choice, would Ari fall in love with him and jump into a life of nothing but danger? Or would she go back to her husband, Noah, whom she loved ever since she was sixteen? And would Ariana avoid the danger that lurks in the dark, waiting for her to make a mistake and lose everything dear to her? Not obsessed

"So, back to the question you oh so not gracefully ignored," Zayden pressed as he took another bite from his apple. "What's with this sudden new-found interest in Noah Nelson's wife? I mean, as your cousin, I am willing to understand this new-found fetish of yours but Lonest City has like ten million married women, and you went for the one you shouldn't have? Really?"

"I am not obsessed, alright?" Nicolai insisted. He did not know for whom exactly he was repeating those words, was it for his cousin or himself? However, Nicolai had never been the kind of person who bullied his brain for something or anything too much. As long as it did not consist of blood, booze, and a lot of screams, Nicolai was not interested.

Because thinking was boring, alright, and Nicolai did not do anything boring.

Which brought him back to that very question he had been ignoring all along. Why was he using so much of his efforts for a woman who called him disgusting and creepy, along with a bunch of other things?

"You aren't? You pulled me from my bed at six in the morning and asked me to come up with a way to egg that haughty sister of Noah. I don't know whether you know this Nico, but that does scream 'I am obsessed,' don't you think so Zena?" Zayden volleyed the question over to Zena who looked at her brother, who instead looked away from her.

"I hope you have thought this through Nico because firstly, I doubt that this little plan of yours will work," Zena remarked as she straightened up and crossed her arms in front of her. "Secondly, I don't believe that Noah Nelson will let this matter slide, once he finds out that you were behind the divorce that he did not want, he will come after your ass."

"As magnificent as my ass is, Noah Nelson will not be coming after it because no matter how good his connections are, he is never tracing it back to me," Nicolai interjected wisely. He then leaned on his chair and added, "And my plan is going to succeed flawlessly, you know why?"

Zena appeared confused as she questioned, "Why?"

"Because that girl and I have one thing similar," Nicolai answered with a smug smile.

"Is that your way of confessing that you have no brain and all muscles?" Zayden offered with a smooth grin, causing Nicolai's smile to slip down as he turned to look at his cousin, who had been a prick since his aunt introduced him to Nicolai. An introduction Nicolai could have lived without.

"Just so you know, that earned you another punch in the wrestling ring, dear cousin. And for your information, No…that wasn't what I was talking about," Nicolai deadpanned. "I meant to say that she and I cannot withstand anything that displeases us. Do you remember the last time, this old guy was going on and on about how he would look good if matched with my mother?"

"The one who was suddenly found dead in his piss and vomit?" Zayden asked with blatant amusement, while Zena looked downright petrified.

"Please don't tell me that it was you who killed him, Nico."

"I didn't. I just gave him a visit and nothing more, he was the one who got scared and ended up choking on his bile. I just watched from the sidelines. I swear I did not touch even a strand of his hair," Nicolai spoke with a raise of one shoulder, causing Zena to cover her face with an exasperated expression.

"You said that you were not going to do anything!"

"And I did not. If anything, that guy had it coming, I was only going to talk to him about how he shouldn't be hovering around my mom when he was involved in human trafficking. Who would have known that he would be scared to death? Literally at that."

Zena threw her head back as she sighed, while Zayden laughed with his back bent forward.

"Anyway, back to Miss Glynn, the reason I am so sure about her doing my dirty work is because I know that she would never silently suffer," Nicolai leaned back on his chair which moved left and right on its wheels.

"It still does not explain why you are tempted to get a taste of Noah Nelson's wife," Zayden being the heir of Satan taunted him again.

Nicolai turned to look at him and then stated word by word, "I am not f*cking tempted, alright? This is just to make sure that our dear Mister Long Nose will not get the sixty per cent shares that his grandfather is holding in his hands."

Everyone knew about the fact that Noah Nelson despite being the only heir of the Nelson Corps did not have the biggest shares in the company. It was his grandfather who owned most of the shares and the clause for Noah to get those shares was that he gave birth to a chubby and healthy great-grandson for Old Master Nelson, something he hadn't done until now.

This was the reason Nicolai had helped Ari in getting the divorce and nothing else. Because nothing more than losing those shares and getting an ass whooping beating from his grandfather would ruffle those gelled feathers of Noah Nelson. Since he appeared all calm and collected every damn time they met, it annoyed the heck out of Nicolai.

Noah always acted like he was better than him just because he was dressed in a three-piece suit and neatly gelled hair, while he was dressed like a street ruffian. In the last banquet where the two of them met, Noah went as far as calling him an untamed mutt.

Of course, Nicolai would have loved to punch the living daylights out of that man, but his mother had stopped him and said something about Time and Place. Neither of the two things meant shit to Nicolai, but he had always respected his mother and thus did not go against her, but that did not mean that he forgot what Noah did and called him.

Just because he appeared all classy he thought he had everything in control, like hell it was. Now that something so out of control happened in his life, Nicolai wanted to see what kind of expression Noah would have on his face.

He had been waiting for his chance to deal with Noah, and it was finally here.

It had nothing to do with Ari.

Nor was he tempted by her.

That would be crazy as hell, alright?
