Towers

A few hours later...

...

Lyon was in the dining room having lunch with his family, everyone was happy that Lyon was back.

But the mood was cut short when Lyon expressed his desire.

"Hm... I turned 14, right? I think it's time I went through an awakening." Lyon commented.

Everyone around froze for a few seconds, and suddenly his mother was the first to speak.

"No! You've just woken up from your coma and you want to go to that dangerous place?" his mother asked him.

"But it's compulsory, right? I have to go or I'll be considered a deserter..." Lyon tells them.

And so a great and heated discussion began in the Grey family, just over an hour later they finally accepted the fact that he would have to go and wake up in the tower.

"Don't worry, it won't be anything dangerous, I'll just do the waking up" Lyon tries to comfort them.

"It's okay... Tomorrow is Monday and we'll go there so you can go through the awakening and then we'll go home..." His mother tells him with a frown on her face.

Seeing that his mother was distressed and sad, he decided to pamper her a little so that she wouldn't feel that way.

He gets up from his seat and goes over to her.

"Mom... Can I sit on your lap?" Lyon asked.

This was very effective because she changed her attitude immediately, flashing a charming smile, and she patted his thigh lightly, indicating for him to sit down.

"Looks like my little boy wants to be pampered by me... Come with Mommy!" His mother said.

Enduring the embarrassment of doing something like this in front of his sisters, he sits on his mother's lap and she quickly takes one of her hands to stroke his head while showering him with kisses on the cheek.

"Yeah... That's not fair! I want to spoil Lyon too." Yara complains to her mother.

Without waiting for her mother to say anything, she gets up and goes to his other cheek and starts kissing him too.

Lyon was blushing furiously from embarrassment.

Lena, who had remained silent until now, couldn't stand it any longer and moved towards her brother too.

But she was the boldest and went straight to his lips and started kissing Lyon.

Seeing how Lena, the youngest of the family, behaved, Yara and Mama had the same thought about her.

'She's the boldest, even though she's the youngest!

And so began a long kissing session from which Lyon only managed to escape when he pretended to be cramped to go to the bathroom and quickly ran out of there.

After finally escaping from his family, Lyon returned to his room, locked the door and went back to his computer to do some research.

"Whew... Let's see... Let's read a bit more about Aura's awakening."

Soon he's off to 'The Lion' information site to find out more.

After a few minutes of browsing, he finally finds the information he was looking for, and starts reading.

"Awakening for all men and information on dungeons." That was the name of the article he was interested in.

"In the year 1998, the world was suddenly shaken by the appearance of several towers around the world. After much study, it was discovered that only men could enter the tower and thus undergo the awakening. It is not known exactly how many floors the tower has, but it is compulsory for each floor to be completed sequentially and within the time required by the tower itself. We're currently on floor number 46. Remember that all the towers are interconnected, meaning that if you complete a floor in one country, all the other towers will also have their floor completed. Each floor has a maximum completion time of 1 year. If the floor is not completed in the time stipulated by the tower, there will be a Gate Break and all the Monsters from the respective floor in which they failed will leave the tower and come out into the world. For this reason there have already been millions of deaths, after all monsters can only be killed by aura, modern weapons have no effect on them, which makes all humans who have not awakened defenseless."

"Starting in 2001, a law was implemented so that all men who turned 14 and had no disabilities had to go to the tower and go through the awakening, that same year the construction of several academies around the world called the 'Aura Path Academy' began. After they passed the awakening, they could choose to join the academy or start going directly to the tower, but for those who wished to go directly to the tower, they had to pass an aptitude test from a tower supervisor appointed by the government."

And so Lyon spent the whole day researching information that would be useful for tomorrow until it was time for dinner.

After a happy family meal, Lyon, who was exhausted, decided to brush his teeth, take a shower and go to bed.
