Chapter 20: Shi Xinghe Asks Her to Dinner

After lunch, the yacht headed back to the dock, and Shi Niannian and Ling Yichen disembarked.

In the car, Shi Niannian fiddled with Ling Yichen's hand, long and with distinct knuckles, his nails neatly trimmed, much larger than hers.

Ling Yichen really liked Shi Niannian's small gestures like this; he kissed the top of her head, "Are you going back to school in a bit?"

"Yeah," Shi Niannian leaned on his shoulder. She was very fond of this feeling; she had never been so close to someone in her more than 20 years of life.

She knew that Ling Yichen was only interested in her body, but she still wanted to draw even the slightest bit of warmth from him.

"Which day are you free next week? I can pick you up to go out," Ling Yichen thought about keeping her by his side every day.

"I don't have time next week; there's a dance competition next weekend, and I need to practice this week," Shi Niannian declined Ling Yichen's invitation.
