Chapter 34

Wen went to his clinic and greeted his employees the next day as he smiled at them. He then worked as he tended to the patients that came to his clinic. He knows that Lin wasn't able to get the divorce because Zhang Huan was not at home yesterday as she had informed him through the phone and he had also made sure to check it to make sure.

But he wasn't bothered by it as he can wait for the plan to take action, as in the meantime he will tend to his patients and make sure that his clinic will be a success. His own work in the share markets in also going successfully as he is able to make more money as well.

Not that it wouldn't considering his powers but he doesn't mind it as it will help him in the future. After all, having more money for yourself would be a good thing for himself.

He is also eagerly awaiting for the time their plan will come to fruition. He had also told his sister to not mention his revival to their parents, as he doesn't want to see them at the moment as she was returning back to her home.

And even though she was reluctant at first he managed to make her comply after speaking with her for a while. He made sure to make her promise to not tell them, and to make sure that he doesn't, he put a seal on her in front of her to make sure that she doens't tell them.

It also served to show her that he does posses powers, but she didn't ask about them, now whether it was because she didn't want to make him uncomfortable or whether she was scared of his anger, he didn't try to learn about it as he let her go.

While he was thinking that, Lin was sitting in her office with a frown on her face as she wasn't able to get Zhang Huan to sign the divorce, but because of the fact that the man himself didn't come back to the home yesterday, though he had already informed her family about it, something about a serious business offer or something.

Naturally, she was pissed at the fact that he didn't come as she isn't able to get on with the plan, as she wanted to have the divorce. Being the wife of the man who caused harm to her family and the instigator of the events which led to her removing Wen from her life also fueled her anger.

After she had learned of the death of Wen, it had a profound impact on her. Not to mention the fact that Huan started to show more of his egoistic and boastful side to her. As the man would always talk about his achievements and boast about himself with the other people during parties, she saw how her new husband was the same as the rest of them.

She also came to realise how good of a husband Wen was as she remembered how he had treated her. Huan treated her like she was his trophy or something, which she didn't like one bit.

But Wen would treat her kindly and was a gentleman who would work around her room and also the house at her and her family's words. He would ask her how her day was and also listen to her rants and complaints and treated her kindly and would smile and laugh at her.

And now that she remembered how he had acted and treated her, she couldn't help but grimace as she realised how good of a husband he was. He might not have had a job, but he was a good husband who did housework for her and listened to her without any compliments.

She felt horrible for doing that considering how much of a good husband he was to her. Not to mention the fact that she knew him from the past as well which ate away at her. That's why she still tried to help him get a job, which ended spectacularly as she only managed to drive him away due to how she had acted.

She was devastated when she learned about his death, but she couldn't do anything about it due to the fact that she hadn't been in contact with him for a while.

But now he had come back to life and is alive, she doens't know how he did it, but the fact that he is alive is enough for her as she wants to earn his forgiveness while also wanting to get back at Huan for his machinations.

'I can't believe he didn't come home yesterday. I just hope he comes back so that I can proceed with the plan.' Lin thought to herself as she decided to do some work to get her mind off of the topic.

She looked at the work she has to do as she immersed herself in it as she knew that she needed to do that to get her mind off of her irritation. Something which her employees had noticed when she had walked inside with a cold atmosphere to her.

She had also noticed how they seemed to be acting very carefully when around her as well. She sighed to herself as she wanted to make sure that she doesn't act like that again.

'Anyways, I have to make sure that he does indeed sign the documents for the divorce.' Lin thought to herself as she did her work.

Of course, she also thought that maybe Wen might betray her due to how she had caused him downfall but she doesn't mind it. Considering how much of a douchebag Huan is, she would be happy to have a divorce from him.

She has also placed some contingencies to ensure that her family will be safer. She wasn't an idiot after all and had created plans in case Huan betrayed her for any reason. And considering how the man had acted she didn't doubt that he would leave her if he could get a higher position.

"Secretary." Lin called as her secretary came.

"Yes miss?" The secretary asked her as she looked at her.

"How is my schedule for the evening?" Lin asked her as she looked at her.

"Let me check... Um, you have a meeting with a company head, a party to attend, a wedding and a business meeting." The secretary said to her as she checked the schedule.

"So it's booked huh." Lin said as she sighed.

"I'm afraid so ma'am." The secretary said to her with a nod.

"Get all the data we have on the head and his company, and compile the data we need for the discussion. I'm sure I had told you about this two days ago." Lin said as she looked at her.

"Of course ma'am, I'll bring the data quickly." The secretary said before she walked out of the office.

Lin sighed and leaned on her chair as she looked at the screen of her computer.

'I also have to work on my cultivation as well. But the work is there as well. One at a time.' Lin thought to herself as she looked at the screen.
