GATHERING OF MONSTERS II

"The selection phase will be carried out in the black pagoda behind me," said Mr. Lucas as he quieted and swept his gaze on the hundreds of students right in front of him. But before he could continue, a question suddenly rang out from the crowd.

"Can you please us what this black pagoda is?"

The one who spoke was a tanned boy that had blonde hair which gave off a strange vibe on him. He was four feet tall which was close to the same height as Dave. After Mr. Lucas glanced at the one who spoke, he began to explain.

"This black pagoda is sort of a test building to find out how much potential a student has. the pagoda has five floors which are considered a level to test the potential"

After seeing that the student was satisfied with what he answered, he continued.

"As I said earlier, the selection phase will be carried out in this pagoda behind me, and since I have already what the building does, we shall officially begin"

After saying up to this point, he suddenly turned mute as he looked at the eager expressions of the students in front of him. But before they could move toward the pagoda, Mr. Lucas suddenly spoke.

"We shall now start with the first batch of the schools here. If you hear the school you came from, quietly walk into the pagoda"

After getting the latest news from the host, the students quietly stood in place as Mr. Lucas began.

"Country Y academy, Country A academy, Red Country academy, Country D academy, Star Country academy"

As the students whom their schools were called began to enter the pagoda, Mr. Lucas suddenly spoke.

"While the first batch is going through the selection phase, we shall watch their performances from here"

Suddenly, a huge rectangular-shaped crystal magically appeared in the air right above the students. It began to show images of people entering a building from the inside.

'Let's see what I might face in the future Dave thought as he looked at the crystal up in the air.

As soon as the last person from the first batch of schools called out got into the pagoda, its door suddenly closed as the runes on its body began to shine.

When the students from the first batch got inside the pagoda, it was completely dark at first. But then, mists began to appear on the first floor of the pagoda. That same mist suddenly condenses to form different beasts of the same kind.

'Dark Tasmanian Tiger' Dave screamed in his mind as he had a shocked expression while looking at the crystal screen.

The beasts the first batch of students were about to face had an appearance of a tiger, but its skin was completely dark in color. it had two long fangs that came out of its mouth which made them closely resemble a caber-tooth tiger.

What made Dave have a shocked expression on his face was that that beast had been extinct for almost 50 years but instead they were right in front of him being peak Rank D beasts.

Immediately after the beast was solidified in their misty form, the students began to clash with it.

"Yo, what's up?"

While attentively watching the crystal screen to analyze the battle that was going on inside the pagoda, he suddenly heard a form of greeting that he felt was directed to him. When he turned to glance at the one who just greeted him, he saw the boy who earlier asked a question to Mr. Lucas coming toward him.

'looks like this is the end of analyzing the battle going on inside' thought Dave as he turned to face the tanned 14 years old boy.

"Sorry for disturbing you guys. But I just felt curious about your group since you guys look the youngest among us here" said the tanned boy as he approached Dave.

"Whose group?" asked Jake as he looked at the tanned boy as if he wants to eat him alive. But unfortunately, both Dave and the tanned boy simply ignored him as Dave spoke.

"No worries. Besides, we will still meet later if not now"

"Hahaha, that's true. By the way, Am Muzi" replied the tanned boy as he offered his right hand for a handshake.

"Dave" replied Dave as he accepted the handshake.

"Cool name," said Jonah as he watched the crystal screen in the air.

"Thanks" replied Muzi with a slight smile.

"So do you know the strongest student currently here?" asked Dave with glittering eyes.

Although that sudden question stunned Muzi, he still answered after pondering about it for some seconds.

"That will be Austin Phillip of the capital academy"

After answering that question, he pointed in a direction in the crowd. When Dave followed the direction he was pointing, he saw a boy with green buzz-cut hair wearing the unofficial wears meditating in the corner.

"That's him. he is shockingly in the middle phase of Rank C with lightning and light elements. And you know what, he is just 13 years old this year" whispered Muzi.

When Dave heard the details of the strongest student in the crowd, he suddenly had glittering eyes as battle intent surged in him while he thought.

'I have finally gotten a rival'
