Chapter 72

She sat on the bed, she had being up the whole night.

She looked at the clock, it was almost six, meaning Casey would soon be up. She looked at Casey who was on the other bed, how lucky was she to be sleeping comfortably.

She got off the bed, arranged it before kneeling to say her prayers.

After saying her prayers she headed to the bathroom to freshen up, she was going to pick up Raymond.

She headed into the bathroom and came out freshened. She saw Casey and she greeted her.

Casey took a closer look at Ariana, something was off.

" Don't tell me you didn't get some rest last night" Casey asked, a grin visible on her face.

Ariana sighed as she sat in front of the dresser.

" I had a nightmare" she said as she toweled her hair.

" Don't tell me you were up all night because of a nightmare?" Casey asked.

Ariana sighed, " I don't know, it felt real. I'm scared" she said as she looked at her reflection in the mirror.

Casey sighed as she put a hand on Ariana's shoulder, " come on Ari, it was just a nightmare. Don't let it get to you. Take a look at yourself, you have eye bags beneath your eyes" Casey said.

Ariana smiled, Casey was right. It was just a nightmare.

Casey gave her a reassuring smile before heading to the bathroom.

Ariana went to her wardrobe as she took out a pink singlet, black jean and black jacket. She put it on and let her hair down.

She did light makeup and she looked beautiful. She opened her wardrobe and took out her bag which comprised of what she'd need for the week of camping.

Casey came out clad in a yellow sweatshirt and black trouser. She put on a white sneaker and was ready to go.

Ariana put on a boot and they were both ready to go. She looked at the clock, it was a few minutes past six, they were early enough, meaning they wouldn't need to take the car. Instead, they'd be walking.

They left the house after bidding the rest of the family, goodbye.

On their way to Raymond's house, they chatted about a lot of things and laughed out loud.

A third party was staring at them, enraged at the fact that Ariana was smiling, even after ruining her life.

Suddenly, Ariana started feeling someone was behind her. The sun hadn't come out yet so she didn't see a Shadow to confirm her suspicions. She halted and looked back but didn't see anyone. She sighed, maybe it was just her imagination.

They continued on their way to Raymond's house and as they got closer to his house, the feeling Ariana had of someone following her increased. She turned but didn't see anybody.

" What's going on Ariana? Why do you keep turning? Is anything the matter?" Casey asked.

Ariana shook her head. If she told Casey that she felt someone was following her, she'd probably think she'd gone psycho after the dream. She smiled as they continued on their way to Raymond's house.

This time, Ariana knew someone was behind her for sure. She stopped and she saw Beatrice behind her. She hissed as she made to continue on her way but Beatrice held her back.

" Please Ariana, hold on. Don't go" she begged.

Ariana sighed, she knew if she were to listen to Ariana, it would be something stupid so she freed herself.

" I don't wanna talk to you so get that into your head alright?" She asked as she made to leave.

" Please Ariana, don't do this. I'm your best friend remember?" 

" Were. Don't forget that there is something called past tense. You were my best friend but now you're not. You lost the right to be my best friend when you had me poisoned" Ariana said, irritated.

She wanted to leave but Beatrice held her back. She wanted to speak but Casey spoke up instead.

" What don't you get Beatrice? She doesn't wanna speak to you so let her be" Casey said as she separated Beatrice from Ariana.

" Ari please forgive me. I did it because I was jealous and bitter. I did it so that I could get Raymond's attention since you are the most popular girl in school but now I know that I can never be like you. Please forgive me Ariana" Beatrice said, almost in tears.

Ariana looked at her, her tears looked genuine but she knew better than to trust Beatrice's tears. She sighed and made to leave but Beatrice stopped her.

" Please, I'm willing to do anything. Please just forgive me for being a terrible and jealous friend" Beatrice begged.

Ariana looked at Casey who had no emotion but that of disgust written all over her face. She sighed,

" I know you're only saying this because you want to ruin mine and Raymond's relationship" Ariana said and Beatrice's jaw dropped.

Ariana and Raymond were......... dating.
