Loud rythmytic noises rung out from within the small rundown building. Large amounts of smoke blew from the chimney, but this was not normal smoke as the color of it was gold.
The scenery around the area was peaceful, full of greenery and wildlife. Floating above the building was a large formation circle, seemingly absorbing something from the world.

The rhythmic noises continued. A young man was currently standing in front of an anvil swinging down his golden hammer on not a weapon, but an item as small as a grain of rice.
With every swing, the item becomes more refined. With every swing, the item becomes more complete. With every swing, he gets one step closer.
*BANG
*BANG
*BANG
The noise becomes louder as he increases his force. It seems that the work is almost done. The laws that sounded out whenever he swung his hammer became clearer and clearer. The formation above also started to suck the qi of the world in greater intensity.
"One more." He whispered.
*BANG
"It is done. Finally." The young man exhales in relief.
It was as if the world had turned silent after. The chirping of the birds had stopped and also the wind, like the world was holding its breath, waiting for the reveal.
He had been hammering non stop for over 10,000 years. Doing so for so long with such consistent precision and rhythm was nothing short of godlike.
There are many names this young man goes by. One is the 'god of smithing', and the other, 'harbinger of chaos.' The former signifies his skill in smithing and is simply due to how people use his creations.
Holding the item up, the young man inspected it. The item looked to be a tower the size of a rice grain with exquisite curves and cuts so fine that one would not be able to find any flaws.
"My greatest creation yet." The young man said, smiling.
Not willing to waste anymore time he took out a shining object out of seemingly nowhere and placed it next to the tower.
It turned out not to be an object but what seemed like a living soul, a very weak one at that. He had preserved this person's soul whilst out one day enjoying the sun. Ever since then, the young man finally had someone to share his thoughts with.
He did not know what this person looked like previously or what gender the person was with their soul so damaged. It could barely form a sentence a day and had not retained any memories from anything previous to it being rescued other than pain.
"You will be the current spirit guardian of the tower and it will nurture your soul. Later on when you are fully healed you can just leave."
The soul hummed in response stating its agreement.
"Then let's begin."
Picking up the golden hammer the young man prepared to swing it down onto the soul and tower.
"Don't worry. It won't hurt." He said, smiling very menincanly.
The soul hummed very loudly. This was the most active it has been all these years. Its light pulsing very quickly. But the young man ignored its protest and swung down.
*BANG
The hammer stopped right above both the tower and soul hitting not the air but a mini formation. The formation was small but intricate, it twisted and turned as it slowly fused them both.
*HUMMMM
Primordial chaos qi suddenly erupted as the process of fusing completed turning into a beam shooting through the roof and all formations placed above going far beyond the sky and space.
"Shit!" The young man grimaced.
He had underestimated the outburst with the birth of a multiversal treasure. Constantly hammering away for tens of thousands of years with a focused state of mind made him forget how much primordial chaos qi the tower had gathered.
Today was both a day of celebration and doom. With this much qi leaking out, all those hungry old dogs would come drooling down their mouths doing whatever it takes to get their hands on it. Especially that one person.
"Then I have no choice." The young man sighed.
All these years minding his own business but all due to a moment of relaxation, ended it all. He began rushing around gathering all the herbs he had planted and activating all defensive formations he had laid down.
People thought that he was just a smithing expert but failed to realize that he was just almost as good in other occupations than just smithing.
Alchemy, herbology, formations, talismans.
He had learnt all these to supplement and further improve not his smithing but creations. The young man was by no means the most outstanding genius, understanding things at a glance, but you could say that he was smart and hard working.
This world was a world of cultivation, where people lived long lives. Time could be the least of your worries.
Stuck in this area almost all his life, what more could he do other than learn the arts all day? Ever since that person put this curse on him, sleeping was but a thing of the past.
He could only wish that one day he would be able to close his eyes and drift to dreamland. That would be his freedom.
The commotion was finally over.
Picking the tower up, he could feel the vast space inside. It also felt alive, pulsating full of life energy within. He could also tell that time also worked differently as if it was its own world. It had its own laws and regulations, you could say it is its own world.
He couldn't waste anymore time. Large amounts of qi were heading this way, fast. Connecting his qi to the tower, he could sense the spirit guardian returning a response.
The tower suddenly vanished.
He could sense the tower within him. Resting within his dantian. It was final, this treasure would be destroyed the moment his life was lost. No one else could have it but him. The young man had had enough of people using his creations for destruction.
*BOOM
It was at this moment something landed just on the edge of his formation. It was a man. Tall and handsome. Blonde hair, sharp eyebrows and chiseled face. It was also a punchable face due to the smugness you felt from him.
The man only stood there and raised his palm, "You know what I'm here for. Give me the item, Origin."
