"I at least now understand why we have such a vendetta against Dragons." Said Elif softly as he looked at Lourdes, wrapping his arms around her waist and embracing her, causing her to smile slightly.

"However, regarding this, what'll happen if you keep us separated?" Added Elif as he shook his head and glanced at Lourdes, who frowned and also shook her head.

"You will be safe, but Elaine will continue to descend into obsessive madness until she eventually destroys herself from the inside out, followed by her soul collapsing. Once that happens, the curse will then infect you, and since your beloved has died, you'll be obsessed with the next woman in our bloodline. Vice versa depending on gender." Replied Lourdes lightly as she and Elif turned to look at Maria, who was dancing with Tyler.

"Well, Mother is far stronger than me; even if I were to sneak attack her, it wouldn't work." Muttered Elif with a raised eyebrow as he glanced back at Lourdes.

"You'll find your ways to do so. However, you need to worry about none of that, as that is all hypothetical." Said Lorudes with a nod, prompting Elif to furrow his brows before smiling.

"You've figured out a way to stop or prevent it?" Asked Elif with traces of joy as he looked at Lourdes, who couldn't help but smile.

"Yes, I've long since figured out a way to combat the curse, though; unfortunately, the best we can do is prevent it. Despite my strength, the curse would strengthen its connection with us Royal Elves every generation while drawing power from each one of us, even those not directly affected by the curse, like yourself and I. Now, it's so deeply attuned within our bloodline; it's become part of our lineage; removing it would be the same as removing a piece of our very body; it is a part of us now." Declared Lourdes solemnly with a nod as she sported a frustrated look before eventually sighing in defeat.

"However, long ago, I managed to slightly alter the curse before it grew too deeply connected with us; now, by making love using the dual cultivation manual, it'll prevent the curse from further affecting the said person; unfortunately, it doesn't reverse the already present effects."
