I took a deep breath, weighing the demon's condition in my mind. As much as the idea of killing another human being sickened me, I had to consider my desperation to regain what was lost.
My memories, and perhaps even some semblance of freedom — those were worth risking much.
Before I could express my decision, the demon interjected,
"You know, I can't put it into words, but it's not exactly hope... It's.... umm well, I want you to meet the others, or more likely, find them..."
Confusion washed over me, and I furrowed my brows.
"What others?" I inquired.
The demon's expression softened, and he laid a hand on my shoulder.
"You'll recognize them when you come across them," he reassured.
"They will be drawn to you, just as you will be drawn to them. They share your traits, and I prefer if you prioritize targeting them over the ordinary ones."
