Chapter 122

The Overload State, I've been thinking that it is similar to Hulk that I might rampage if I ever use it. But it never tried destroying anything or killing somebody whenever I utilise it.

The Overload State gave me a ten more step to strength in exchange for my sanity's control. The power may have scared me as even if I don't necessarily use it for destruction but a simple punch or optic blast can cause great harm to those around me.

Lyla also thought about it and decided " let's try it " she hold us and we teleported somewhere.

Our location is on an island surrounded by the huge ocean. Lyla brought us here to test what will happen if I used my Overload State with no opponent.

Lyla spoke " This time, instead of forcefully controlling it, let it take you somewhere it wanted to. Maybe it might be beneficial to you."

I stood up and floated mid air then look at Lyla and Krista at the ground watching me. " If you ever felt any danger, just leave immediately."

Lyla waved her arms while replying " Yeah, Yeah I will do that."

I look at the sun and instead of using solar energy to step onto my Overload State. I let the energy from the power gem to flow through my arm to my neck then to the head. The purple veins gleamed brightly as it crawled slowly as the energy intensified and flows throughout my whole body but only a wisp of it as it may burn my body like my arm if it provides too much.

The purple veins around my arm burned the bandages as my eyes glowed one golden and the other shone purple light. My hair are swept by the overflowing energy instead of the wind, it didn't change color like my eyes and just stayed black.

I utilised optic beam and directed it upwards, creating a line of energy towards the sky. After doing that, I focus my attention to the two women, Krista held Lyla's palm tightly and Lyla conjured a small dagger on the bottom of her foot to penetrate the earth.

I gaze at them for few seconds then rushed towards them, Lyla didn't feel any danger, Krista also didn't but still closed her eyes as I charge towards them.

When Lyla is on the verge of teleporting away, I held her wrist with my other hand. Since my last hand is still not working properly as the burns didn't heals itself even though I used the Overload State.

Lyla waited for something to happen but no movements are made and Krista also opened her eyes. I step out of the Overload State as I let go of Lyla's hands and I pulled Krista's cheek while in the process of returning to my normal state.

I smiled at both of them and opened my mouth " Well, I guess it is considered a success. I didn't attack you both because my body didn't feel threatened, the amount of power coursing through my veins is uncontrollable but not too harmful than I think."

Krista look down at my black hand with purple veins around and notices something " Are you really okay? That burns seems to hurt you so much."

I laugh at her as I pinch her nose " Of course it hurts so much, I sometimes imagine having a lava flowing inside my arm and I can't have a total control over it so I might need more time in order to make this power mine."

Lyla voiced out her thoughts " When you use your optic beam, it's hue is still golden even though the energy flowing around your arm is purple, why is that?"

I scratch my head as I think for a moment before replying " Maybe golden vapour is my personal abilities and no matter what color of energy I absorb it will still come out as golden hue whenever I utilised my Optic beam. Or maybe because I used solar energy since the beginning, it became ingrained to my very being."

" I remember when I threw a punch at Thanos, I used the power gem and covered a golden gauntlet around my fist before hitting Thanos that seriously injured him." As I remembered that feeling, I tried making a golden gauntlet around my injured arm but it refuse to release a golden miasma because of the energy that came from the purple veins.

I used my other hand to release a golden miasma then manipulated it to form a gauntlet around the hand of the burned hand. It form for a few seconds before cracks appeared and destroyed it.

The purple veins seems to be taking a territory to my whole arm as it's property. " We should go back home."

Lyla hold onto us then disappear again then appeared on top of the roof top.

Krista talked about her plans about the potions " You mentioned about building a business, but who will be in charge? I only want to be in the laboratory and I have duty in the hospital, you know I'm still a resident."

" We will have a discussion with Pepper Potts and Mr Stark in the future so let's just focus on ourselves first. It's not every day we can have time to relax as the world is still in need of heroes." I responded before saying the latter statements to Lyla and Krista.

Lyla brought a drink for the three of us " I'm still in contact with the rest and they are working hard to find Thanos and the gems but no hint or any signs of where he is and they are getting frustrated specially Thor."

" Speaking of Thor, he should be on the verge of breaking down. Should we cheer for him? Mr Stark will soon return to Earth and its not like not everyone is okay. I mean, most people are deprived of high spirits." I responded thinking that maybe only I who knows about what will happen but if I move again and again and change too much in the timeline, I'm afraid something will go wrong and we might lose everything.

The first thing was Thor's state, then Tony's making of time travelling technology, Hulk and Bruce's problem and Scott Lang's being trapped.

A little more change may also change the plot in the future and killing everyone and I can't take that on my conscience.

The only thing I can do is recuperate because no matter what, a war will happen in the future and I need to be in my strongest state. I will just need to kill Thanos by myself in order not to change any timeline as I don't want to be arrested by the TVA as a bug existence in the timeline.
