Increasing his intelligence, he found that his control over water was much better.

{Blindshot}

Creating a massive water spear and aiming it straight at a massive oak tree, he unleashed it 

The spear shot straight and impaled the trunk, leaving a massive hole at the center.

"Ugh!" Kento frowned. "Not good enough!"

He knew that it was not even close to what he needed to defeat those fallens. He had seen the clash between Akeno and Kalawarner and it was insane.

"I have magic powers but I lack the physical prowess in case someone is resistant to magic."

He knew how much of a disaster that would be.

But there was nothing he could do.

To increase his physical abilities, he either needed related skills or points.

"There is only a little a human can achieve." 

Evolution and potential of humans were endless but there was still a bottleneck and humans needed external help to break free from that.

And for him, that help was points.

"Let's focus on my current skills for now."

{Water Manipulation}

Using his skill, he created hundreds of thin arrows made purely of water. Changing the target to a rock, he casted {Blindshot}.

As he made the arrows shoot from above at the rock, the massive rock shattered to pieces.

But that was it, he was a one-trick pony at the moment. Unless he got other skills or his {Water Manipulation} improved by a grade or so. 

And even the arrow barrage would have been useless if he did not possess {Blindshot}.

{Blindshot} could be used unlimited times if the target was different from a previously used one. 

And he discovered a loophole that if he used {Blindshot} consecutively on two targets one after the other, he could use it on the same target multiple times.

'As long as I target one and then change to another, before moving back to the first one –I can use the skill unlimited times.' 

He could theoretically have better and stronger water skills if he was near a water body, but the chances of a battle happening in such areas was small.

{Light Manipulation (C)}

This was a bit more complex than water manipulation.

Because he knew that he could do the same things as water manipulation like creating a barrage of arrows or a massive spear –but he could also do much more.

'But what?'

But then it clicked.

'Wait!'

He looked above and found the sun shining brightly above his head.

"Don't tell me…"

With an uncontrollable grin on his face, he decided to test out a theory.

{Light Manipulation}

The light, the rays and the warmth above him combined –increasing the intensity and forming sharp rays of light. 

Multiple of them.

With the widest grin on his face, he lifted his fingers and then immediately brought them down –causing the multiple rays to come down in a hailstorm form but not straight down, rather in a spiraling motion.

It was like an artillery shooting multiple shots of ammo, but instead of bullets it was destructive rays of photon.

"Holy shit…"

Kento was taken aback by the sheer damage caused by the rays of light. It was far more damaging than his water manipulation.

But it made sense.

'Grade of a skill describes its potency… And my ability to manipulate water is still at grade F.'

Another thing that he figured was the ability to use more complex and bigger spells also came with the increase in grades.

As for the faster construct and less energy consumption, it related directly with his intelligence.

'I need to increase my intelligence soon.'

Being able to cast spells faster was one of the most important things along with the consumption of less energy.

As his current main source of power was manipulation skills, he needed intelligence. But strength was also important, so he had to come up with a way to increase them in accordance with what was important.

But he was not done.

He had another theory that he wanted put to test.

{Flight}

Using his flight skill, he lifted himself up in the air. 

'I have yet to test out the maximum speed of this skill, but…'

{Light Manipulation}

"*Ugh!*"

Within an instant, as he brought his flight skill into practical use –he shot up into the sky at a speed that even he found difficult to control.

"S-Stop!"

Flying at least a few hundred meters into the air, he felt dizzy at the speed in which he was brought up.

"T-This is too much…"

What he did was accelerate his flight by pushing the photons right under him.

"Did not expect it to turn me into a rocket…"

But this proved his theory right. It meant he could fly at a higher speed and using the same logic, he could speed up the projectiles that he threw. 

And he was certain about one thing.

'I need practice. Far more than I am currently doing.'

But looking around, he realized what he needed the most.

"I need a better place to train at."

He was thankful that no one visited the old mountain that he was training at.

After all, if anyone saw the damage that had happened in the place –they would freak out.

Entering the class with her new look, Aika tried her best to look confident. 

Even her uniform was new, replacing her baggy old one with tighter ones.

'He is not here yet.' Realizing that Kento wasn't in class, she took a sigh of relief. 

She was not ready to talk to him immediately after entering the class. Especially considering her new looks. 

Taking her seat, she tried to calm down.

She wasn't sure why she was so nervous. Maybe it was the fear of having her new looks judged, but she tried to calm herself.

Surprisingly, none of the perverted trio were present either, which confused her as they are usually very early.

Mostly to set up something to peek at girls, but they were regular.

"Oh gosh!"

As she was contemplating the countless possibilities of their absence, she heard one of the girls gasping.

"Now she even dresses up to seduce him."

This confused her.

Turning around, she saw a bunch of girls gathering around her. 

"E-Excuse me?" She was worried after looking at their angry faces. She wondered if she did something to displease them.

Again.

"Look at this skank! Acting all clueless and innocent."

But she was. She had no idea what they were talking about. 

Until… She heard one of them say.

"Did you really think dressing all pretty would make people forget what you are?" She asked. "You are just another perverted fuck! Do you think you can get the Knight of Kuoh by dressing pretty?"

She finally realized what it was all about.

She knew something like this might happen one day, but she did not expect it to be today.

"I did not–"

*Splash!*

She was not allowed to complete her sentence as one of the girls splashed an entire bottle of water over her. 

Aika could not react while being surrounded, and she felt her heart breaking at the makeup that she so carefully applied –flowing down with the water.

Even the hair that she spent hours setting, was all drenched. 

She felt her eyes water at the scene. She was used to being talked bad about, but bullying was not something that she was used to.

"I-I–"

She wanted to fight back, but an entire horde of girls surrounding her and making fun of her made it impossible for her to get any word out.

And as she was trying to stop them, one of the girl grabbed her braids.

"Ah!" She cried in pain, but the girls paid no attention.

"How about we teach her a lesson?" She grinned. "Let's chop this skank's hair!"

"P-Please d-don't–"

Aika begged, tears rolling down her eyes but all that the girls did, was to give her an evil smile.

The girl took out a pair of stationary scissors from her pen pouch, making the other girls smile.

"Do it!"

"She deserves it!"

"N-No! Please s-stop!"

The girl took the scissors to her braid, ready to chop it off.

But that's when they heard a loud yell.

"Oi!" This was none other than the boy because of whom everything started. "What the fuck are you doing!"

Waking up at four thirty and rushing out to train might not have been the best of his ideas. As exerting so much energy to try out all his skills, while also getting a few sets of physical workout done –he felt drained by the time he was supposed to go to school. 

He wanted to skip school so much but he had to meet Sona regarding the club issue. 

And as such, he dragged himself to school. 

However, as he was walking down to the Kuoh Academy, he got an unexpected quest alert.

<<Emergency Quest Alert!>> 

This at first made him excited. As it was always nice to have a few points and skills more than what he already had.

And he was in dire need of points.

But once he saw the quest description, he forgot everything.

Rewards, skills, points –nothing mattered.

All he cared about was getting to the academy as fast as possible.
