Chapter Two: Wishes 1

In a serene garden surrounded by colorful flowers and dense trees, Rob and Aiden sat at a small table made of dark wood. The tea they were drinking filled the air with its aromatic fragrance, adding a touch of tranquility and comfort to the scene. Rob, looking like a wise old father figure, sat comfortably, savoring his tea while stroking his long white beard thoughtfully. Aiden, sitting opposite him, held his teacup with trembling hands, looking both anxious and curious.

"Aiden, don't rush with the tea," Rob said gently. "This tea is not ordinary. It has a special effect on your soul and will help you focus and think clearly."

Aiden took a small sip of the tea, and suddenly felt something strange flowing within him, as if the energy from the tea began to affect his spirit. "Rob, how does the wish system work exactly?"

Rob smiled and began to stroke his beard in contemplation, then said, "According to the rules, a person is allowed to make three wishes. However, since you've been living in the void for a while, I'll grant you four wishes to compensate for your suffering in the void. But be aware, your time in the void isn't without its gains; your potential has become monstrous."

"What does it mean that my potential has become monstrous?" Aiden asked with curiosity.

"The void is a place filled with unstable energy, and you've developed a greater ability to handle this energy. However, this can be a double-edged sword. You now have an affinity with the void and almost limitless potential, and if you don't control it, your soul may start to break down," Rob said with a serious and grave expression.

Aiden tensed and asked Rob, taking a deep breath, "Alright, and how does the wish system work?"

Rob smiled and replied, "I forgot to mention something important before I explain. All worlds from anime, games, books, and other stories are real. What you think of as mere fiction is actually true."

Aiden's face froze for a moment, and signs of shock appeared. "How is that possible?"

"Sometimes, the laws of different worlds collide, causing information to flow from one world to another. This information influences what you humans call authors, colliding with their thoughts through the subconscious, like dreams. I am here as the best proof of that. Don't you read fanfiction and wonder where did you came from young man from the medieval times?"

Aiden was stunned but accepted the idea. "Okay, I understand now. Let's go back to the wish system. How does it work?"

"The wish system is based on the principle of randomness. You have two methods: making a wish directly or using a luck wheel. You might get a powerful character or a weak ability; it all depends on luck. Given your bad luck, I don't recommend choosing this option."

Aiden took a deep breath and said without hesitation, "I'll choose the first option."

Rob gave Aiden an evaluative look and said, "A wise choice. However, there are some limitations you need to be aware of. You cannot ask for additional wishes, nor can you request abilities that are excessively powerful, such as being invincible or having overly exaggerated abilities."

Aiden looked at Rob with a slight smile, saying, "Alright, I'll be cautious in my choice."

As Rob provided additional details about how to use the wishes, their conversation remained humorous and light-hearted. Aiden interacted with Rob in a playful manner, making the discussion enjoyable and smooth.

Rob took a deep breath and said, "Alright, let's start defining your wishes. Remember, they need to be carefully considered. You don't want to choose things that might lead to more problems than benefits."

"I understand, I'll be careful," said Aiden, smiling. "What's the next step?"

Rob looked at Aiden and smiled broadly, saying, "Make your wishes and requests; they're all commands."

At that moment, Aiden was rendered speechless as he watched Rob suddenly stand up and begin mimicking the Genie from Aladdin. Rob puffed out his robes and started waving his arms theatrically, striking a pose with an exaggerated gaze towards Aiden, filled with amusement.

"Here are the wishes!" Rob declared in a loud and dramatic voice, "Your wishes, young man, can be granted now!"

Aiden watched Rob in astonishment and amusement, unable to contain his laughter. "Rob, you really are great at imitating the Genie!"

Rob laughed heartily and said, "I knew you'd find that entertaining. Now, back to the topic of wishes, remember to stay cautious and think carefully before wishing for anything."

Aiden took a deep breath, feeling more confident after this humorous moment. "Thank you, Rob. I'll be careful and choose my wishes wisely."

"You're on the right track," said Rob with a warm smile as he settled back into his comfortable chair. "Now, let's see how things will unfold. I'm here to support you every step of the way."

As the sun began to set on the horizon, Aiden felt a newfound sense of hope and anticipation for his future. With the guidance and lessons learned from Rob, he was ready for the next step in his new adventure, driven by a spirit of optimism and hope.
