In a world where myth and magic collide with modern-day life, the protagonist is thrust into the supernatural universe of High School DxD following an unusual dream. They awaken to a shocking revelation: they are the heir to King Arthur's legacy and the rightful ruler of Camelot. As they come to terms with their lineage and newfound powers, they must confront the responsibilities that come with their royal bloodline, as well as the dangers that threaten both their world and the supernatural realm. Their journey through fate is filled with trials, legendary battles, and a destiny that intertwines with the mystical forces of the past and present.
You know they say fate isn't in our control, that it's not something we can stop that it's our destiny. But I've never believed that we're all capable of being our own person no matter what spot we find ourselves in.
But for someone like me, it was more awkward for me when it happened.
Oh… you want to know what happened to me? Well, let me tell you: I died.
… … …
Wow, tough crowd. But in all honesty, it's not that I died to get where I am.
Well, I did it's just…
Hah, let me tell you the story from the beginning…
Present
It was after another day at college I was finally done with my homework, studies and after a small binging of some anime I had finally picked up after leaving alone for so long, I was finally ready to go to bed.
Recently I had begun watching things such as My Hero Academia, High School DxD, and even the Fate series, just finishing the Fate/Prototype spinoff.
In my opinion, Male Arthur is way cooler than Artoria. Hey, just got to say facts here.
I finally turned out for the night and as I began to lay to sleep and close my eyes I began to feel light, lighter than I ever felt in a long time.
As I feel deeper I then began to have a dream but not one so peaceful as many have…
Dreamscape
There were sounds of steel clashing and bones crushing as men fought to the death until suddenly as one knight clad in grey armor took out another enemy knight.
"Where are you King of Knights!?" They bellowed out. Until suddenly the "king" in question appeared before them.
"So then, tell me?! What do you think of me know? Your kingdom is gone? Do you think I am worthy know, eh!? Do you hate me, for what I've done, Arthur?!" The knight in red and gray armor questioned the king.
This king, Arthur was covered in gray armor in most places but carried blue patches of cloth along his arms and legs as they blew in the wind. In his hand lay the sacred lance, Rhongomyniad.
"No, I do not hate you. I am only sorry that I never could tell you the truth.
About your mother and your birth. I'm sorry for it all, but this is where it must end, Mordred.
" Arthur says with emotion in his throat.
"Don't toy with me, you don't hate me?! I just rebelled and killed your retainers; your friends and you dare say you feel no hate?! What kind of human are you?!" Mordred screamed at "his" father.
The two knights then one last time charged their opponents, as Mordred stabbed Arthur with Clarent, Arthur's lance hit true as well and both were grievously injured.
"Fa…ther" Mordred said weakly as he then slumped down dead on the lance. Arthur himself begins to walk away slowly as he too was injured but has retained some of his strength.
As he walks he comes to a familiar lake as he finally rests on a tree nearby when he then hears an approaching horse, and someone drops from the saddle.
The knight appeared and the silver arm was all Arthur needed to know who it was.
"Bedivere, tell me? Was all of this worth, for her and everything else? Was I really worthy?" He asked his retainer.
"You stood for what you believed was justice, fairness, and benevolence. Only you can answer that question, my king.
" Bedivere answered.
"Bedi… take Excalibur and return it. Please… it's my turn to sleep.
Ven… I hope I will see you one day again. " Arthur finally closed his eyes and passed peacefully.
Bedivere then took the sword as he then turned to the lake and gently retired the sword from its duty.
He then retrieved his lord's body and rode back to Camelot to bury his king. However, a white-hooded figure watched from the woods.
The hooded figure let out a chuckle as he whispered, "Long live Avalon and Camelot. " As the figure disappeared in a whirl of flowers.
End of Dream
As I rose from my dream I yawned loudly. That was probably the most vivid dream I had ever had.
And why did it feel like that guy with the hood was looking at me or something?
As I suddenly got out of my yawn I get up out of bed to realize I'm not in my dorm room and this doesn't look anything like my room at all.
The place was bare, nothing on the walls just a plain jane old room, as I left the room I noticed I was wearing my clothes from class the other day.
My blue sweatshirt with my white t-shirt underneath, with blue jeans and brown tennis shoes. As I inspected the rest of the unit I noticed a full kitchen and living area along with a large flat-screen on a sitting table.
I grabbed the key sitting on the table nearby and read the ID which strangely had both my original name and its translated version, Ryuichi Naruse.
That's my name from my world. But still were am I? I took the key and wallet and left the apartment to scour this new place for clues.
I then spotted on a note on the table which read:
To Whom It May Concern,
To the next owner of this unit. I wanted to tell you I was the one that brought you to this world.
While I know you would like answers I think it's better you find answers yourselves.
I will contact you again very soon, we will meet face to face but not now. You are needed in this world; something has happened to it.
It is not the same as you know it to be.
Just keep that in mind.
Best wishes,
Mr. M
P. S.
You're welcome for the clothes and board, I hope you're gracious.
Whoever this is, I'm gonna punch them is the first thing I'm gonna do when I see them. But still that dream from last night why did it look so familiar and that figure who was it?
