Chapter 46

Appearing back in the original world... Issei had to check something before anything else. Opening up the dungeon menu, Issei noticed a new dungeon that appeared...

———————————————————

Dungeon Name: Dungeon of the Abyss

Details: Upon your promise with Artorias, you shall dive into the depths of the abyss to fight against Manus.

Recommended Level: 140

———————————————————

Checking the recommended level, Issei slumped against the wall of his room and sighed. It took only one boss fight... And Issei was already forced to leave the dungeon. He had no more coins to spend for potions...

The moment that he sighed... he heard running coming to his room. Busting the door down, Rias was seen staring at him with an annoyed expression which turned into a worry as she witness the blood that dripped down from Issei's face onto the ground forming a puddle. The cuts, the bruises, the remnants of the abyss all latched onto his body as Issei could barely turn his head towards Rias. Smiling so faintly, Issei could only hiss in pain as even changing his facial expression brought pain to him.

"WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO YOU?"

The sudden scream had caused Issei to wince. "Not so loud..."

Rias rushed towards Issei and lifted him up. Bringing him straight back to the living room, Issei watched as he was brought down stairs to where the rest of the families were. Upon seeing the bloody and beaten Issei, Miki shrieked and rushed over to her little boy. "ISSEI!"

Sirzechs widened his eyes in seeing Issei this beaten. The same person that was able to defeat Kokabiel... Who could have been able to damage Issei this badly? However, now there was a problem... With Issei's parents here... They couldn't just use magic to heal Issei.

"Why is it so loud?" Issei groaned while trying to move, but Rias had a tight hold on him.

Miki rushed over to her room to grab the first aid kit... They needed to stop the blood from oozing out of Issei.

Trying to get out of Rias's grip, being so tired and exhausted, Issei's body would wince in pain for any movement that he creates. His mother immediately grabbed Issei from Rias's hold and moved towards the couch with him in his arms and placed him gently down on the couch.

"Maybe you should have stayed within the weird location rather than showing up here without healing up."

'If I even stayed in there for a couple of more seconds... there was no telling what could have happened to me. There could have been another boss stronger than Artorias.'

That was when Issei finally decided to close his eyes and fall asleep... What type of dream did he have? Nothing because he fell asleep too quickly before he could even think of one.

Opening his eyes, Issei was met with a rhythmic sound of a machine beeping near him. Turning his head to the right, he saw Rias, his mother, Grayfia, and Venelana all sitting down staring at him with wide eyes.

"Issei! Honey, you're awake!" His mother screamed before rushing towards him. Before she could, Grayfia grabbed her and brought her back.

"Calm down... your son just woke up. No need to trample him with worry."

"How long was I out for?"

Rias answered immediately, "Only for a couple hours. We got you bandaged up and ready to go back home. The doctor had told us that it was only minor cuts, but the sever number of cuts had made it a serious problem. Now, you will need to relax for a little bit before you could do anything."

Issei simply nodded and tried to get up, but he was stopped by his mother who pushed him back down onto the bed gently. "You need to rest, mister! We will be the ones taking you back." Issei could only stare at his mother in confusion... If they tried carrying him, wouldn't that hurt him with how much they would be applying pressure onto his wounds?

Luckily, Artemis won't be informed about this, especially with what happened after the Kokabiel fight. On his right, Sirzechs, Zeoticus, and his father stood, staring at him with a little bit of worry. His father was relieved to see his son awake.

Grayfia and Venelana lifted Issei up gently and began walking away with him out of the hospital. While walking out, Issei noticed many doctors trying to stop them... But they simply glared at the doctors. Using some supernatural powers, they were able to intimidate the entire hospital.

When they finally arrived inside of Issei's room in his house, Issei was placed on his bed gently and was tucked in. Now, his mother and father left the room to prepare something while the supernatural family was left within the room to speak with Issei.

Sirzechs was first to break the silence, "Who could have hurt you this badly? Knowing how you defeated Kokabiel with relative ease, someone incredibly powerful must have been able to hurt you. Tell me Issei, who could have done so?"

Knowing that this was going to be asked by one of the supernatural world, he expected Rias to ask first, but he didn't want to tell them about him being teleported and who he fought. "I defeated the person... The person was with armor... I couldn't get a good grasp of who was within the armor. The only other thing that I know was that the person carried a large blade." Keeping it simple, there was no need to tell them anything else as Artorias was already dead and resting in peace. It wasn't like they would be able to help him anyways.

Sirzechs nodded before looking towards Grayfia, "Notify my peerage to search through the entire town for any other individuals to look similar to what Issei has said. If someone was able to hurt the tank, they must be a threat."

Shit... Issei didn't want this to happen. Now, they will find no one at all that could relate to what he described.

Venelana placed her hand on Issei's head like a mother would, "You poor boy. To be in such a brutal battle and being in so much pain. Why can't the world just be nice to you?"

Grayfia joined in, "I wish I could just have him and Millicas play all day together. It would be the most adorable scene. Sirzechs, next time we visit, we are bringing our little boy!"

Sirzechs could only lightheartedly chuckle, "Of course, Millicas does need someone to play legos with. If Rias looks up to Issei and seeing as though she is improving, then maybe having Millicas doing the same would also be a good thing."

Glaring at her husband, Grayfia stared straight into "Not in a battle sense! I mean as a child trying to have fun!"

Rias pouted at her brother's remark, "You do know I am right here! I was always improving, even before Issei showed up."

Sirzechs, seeing that he was against his wife and his sister, knew that he wouldn't win and sighed in defeat. Turning to his wife, he nodded, "Of course my dear, that is what I meant." Afterwards, he looked at Rias and spoke, "What I meant is that with Issei being around, your growth had dramatically improved."

Zeoticus could only laugh at his son's misery, which earned him a smack on the top of his head by his wife. "What are you laughing at? You still have a bunch of work to do when we get back to the house."

Paperwork, something that both Sirzechs and Zeoticus hated the most and being reminded of it, Sirzechs and Zeoticus both paled. They had been pushing back the paperwork for a little while leaving them with nearly double the amount for when they get back to their working stations.

Issei continued resting, staring at the ceiling and thinking of what he wanted to do. He wanted to level up as fast as he could, but the only dungeon that he could enter without being crushed are the dungeons all the way down to where he was below level 100. If he entered those dungeons, he would need weeks on end to even level up once.

Deciding to think of the issue later on, Issei continued watching the Gremory family continue bickering amongst each other. He would definitely call Artemis with a communication circle after they leave... Just to make sure that she is safe.
