Los Angeles Airport
People... People everywhere.
The area was flooded with different kinds of people.
The constant noise made the scene look chaotic but if viewed from afar it seemed peaceful.
Aspiring young people, families on tours, people moving in to settle, business trips, jobs, etc.
Various reasons for people to enter and exit this airport every day.
Among them was a teen with bright green emerald hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt and black pants.
His hair was slicked back and he had black glasses on his eyes.
A black bag hung on his back.
Taking in a deep breath he looked around curiously. He had never been to a foreign country before so everything seemed refreshing to him.
He walked to one of the vending machines and got himself a can of coke and sipped on it.
Phew~
'That was nice.'
He got into a taxi and told him to take him to the nearest shopping complex.
The taxi driver was a middle-aged man in his thirties. He had short messy hair and a beard.
He was wearing a white shirt and pants.
Looking at Ryujin the taxi-drivers eyes flickered.
'Eh, Seems like a young brat, looks rich too. Is he alone? Shouldn't be hard to dupe him.
Rich people wouldn't care about a bit more money right?' Though a bit hesitant he was going to try his luck anyway.
"Well, The nearest mall from here isn't too far. The fare would be around 20$ is that okay?"
Ryujin responded by just nodding his head.
Seeing this the driver felt a pang of regret. He could've inflated the price a bit more. The kid didn't look like he cared about money at all.
But he knew there was a limit to what he could do so he just did his job.
After arriving at the mall Ryujin exited the taxi and headed inside.
As he walked away the driver looked around in confusion, "What am I doing here?" He muttered under his breath before driving away.
...
He looked around the mall and after getting some money from 'special means' he bought himself some clothes and daily necessities.
After stuffing them in his bag he went for the exit of the mall. After looking around his gaze landed on a family of three.
A man that seemed in his early thirties along with a pretty woman were both holding the hands of a little girl that was around 4-5 years old.
They were laughing and chatting with each other peacefully.
What a lovely sight...
Ryujin secretly followed them and when he saw that they were about to enter their car he approached them.
He tapped the shoulder of the man and said, "Excuse me, Sir."
The family turned around in confusion and Ryujin activated his crown.
"Tell me how many people live in your house."
Since he was looking at the lady she answered first, "Just us three."
Ryujin nodded in satisfaction and said,
"From now on I will live with you. If anyone asks about me just say that I'm the son of your friend from Japan and have come over for a while and since you didn't mind you took him in. My name is Ryujin."
After saying that he bent down to tie the lace of his shoe that had gone loose.
"Ryujin what are you doing? Get in the car."
"Yeah, just a second."
He then entered the car and sat down with the little girl beside him in the backseat.
Soon the car started moving.
...
While on the road he glanced beside him and saw the little girl eating cookies.
His eyes flickered with emotions.
She looked similar to his sister from his previous life.
She had black hair in twin tails and a small cute chubby face. She looked especially adorable while eating the cookies.
Ryujin couldn't help but pat her head softly.
The girl looked at him in confusion, "Big Brother Ryujin?"
He gently smiled at her, "Nothing."
The girl went back to her cookies and didn't mind the head pat since she was enjoying it.
Looking at this scene both the parents had a smile on their faces.
"So Ryujin, Why did you suddenly decide to come to California all of a sudden?" Asked the pretty lady. She had long black hair and green eyes. She was around the same height as Rize. Her name was Emma.
The man that was driving had neatly combed blonde hair and slight facial hair. He was slightly taller than Ryujin.
His name was Noah and the cute little child beside Ryujin was Olivia.
"Ah well, I was always interested in moving out of Japan for a while and Dad mentioned he had a good friend in California so I just thought why not. I'm sorry for imposing on you like this."
"Quite the polite young man aren't ye? Don't worry while I ain't the richest around I still earn well enough. It won't be a problem." Said Noah with a smile while taking a curve from the corner.
"I see, Thank you for taking me in."
"Oh stop it~" The lady giggled, "You can get more comfortable with us, I know Japan's culture is very respectable but you can be causal with us."
Ryujin nodded without a word and made some more idle chatter with them, He also understood his situation more.
Noah had a normal job but due to his creativeness and hard work. He often worked overtime. He was quite respected at his workplace.
Emma was interested in becoming a pilot but after Olivia was born she gave up on that dream and took most of her time to take care of her.
But she wasn't sad over it, instead, she enjoyed every moment of her time with Olivia.
It was admirable.
Ryujin didn't pay them too much mind.
After a while, the car stopped and Ryujin stepped out first. Looking around he saw the rest of the family get off before heading towards the entrance.
He saw them enter. Emma stopped and glanced behind her to look at Ryujin, with a warm smile she motioned for him to come in as well.
Seeing this Ryujin smiled back.
It was time to learn Magic!
