Chapter 14: Evil Pieces

It's been 2 weeks since I have started my magic training with Venelana, and I have improved by leaps and bounds.

In game terms, past me casting any magic was like using 50 MP for the 4 MP basic Fireball. It was a huge fireball but it was hard to control and did the basic fireball damage. Now, I'm using 2 MP to cast that Fireball and it does 2 times the basic fireball damage AND it explodes on impact to deal even more damage.

Even Venelana was stupefied at my rapid progression, as I went from shit to shiny pearl over the course of 2 weeks. My mind ability boost that ROB gave me is working in overdrive.

But that is just for basic magic. Higher level magic is more complicated. Although devil magic is based on imagination, there are still steps in creating the magical phenomenon that one wishes. The spell circle created has to be filled with the intended phenomenon in my mind and the imagination factor is what defines it final outcome.

Example, I fill my spell circle with the lightning element, and I imagine the outcome of a shotgun slug of lightning. The magical phenomenon that happens is lightning is shot out in the same manner a shotgun shoots out a slug. Fast and deadly at close range but as it travels farther it gets weaker.

The magic used by others like humans with their mathematical magic systems or the Norse with their Rune symbol magic have a longer process but in certain situations are far more deadly and versatile than devil magic.

Thanks to Venelana's training, I have mastered all basic magic and am well on my way to learn more advanced forms of spells. It sounds easy but the spell circle needed becomes more complicated and more magic is needed, of course.

I also have a decent grasp of my PoD now and arent waisting 10% of my mana for a single blast of it. I'm waiting for the day that I meet my uncle so that I can receive a bit of training in the use of my Time abilities.

Using my PoD training as a base, I have managed to somewhat use my time abilities but it's just like using PoD in the past, 10% of my mana just to be able to slow down a pebble in the air for 2 seconds.

It's ridiculous. But training with my PoD has shown me a general direction in which to train my Time powers and it's just a matter of refining the technique to train it.

*CLAP* *CLAP*

Venelana: "Okay, that's enough for today. You have progressed tremendously in your usage of PoD Zell. It is only a matter of time until you catch up to me. Tomorrow we'll work on spell crafting and using multiple magic circles at the same time so I hope you'll be ready."

Venelana in her training attire of loose jeans and tight sleeveless shirt with a headband says to me as she wipes away the sweat accumalated on her face. She looked hot wiping her sweat and her shirt has become slightly damp and sticks even closer to her body. If my horomones were working, I would have a raging boner right now.

FUCK, BODY OF MINE, GROW FASTER DAMN IT!!!

"Yes ma'am. I look forward to tomorrow's training, Sensei."

I do an exagerated bow that makes her chuckle before she pats my back and sends me off. Turning around and walking backward, I wave and shout to her.

"Venelana-san, you promised dinner so I'll hold you to it!!"

That gets a chuckle out of her again and she nods in understanding.

Venelana: "Sure, sure. Take a bath already Zell, you smell like a camel pen."

I stick out my tongue at her amd turn around and walk away.

This has become an almost daily routine. Training with Mommylana and occasionally Rias joins us. She always invites me to dinner with her after training and I do not hesitate to accept. Gotta rack up those affection points.

But for now, I REALLY need a shower. Sweating for 6 hours without break is a bad idea.

Right now I'm walking towards the reception room, it seems Sirzechs is back and I hope he's here to make due on his words.

Opening the door I see a slightly tired Sirzechs and young green haired man with blue eyes sitting with him.

Srizechs: "Zell, apologies for making you wait for so long. This is Ajuka Beelzebub, he'll be in charge of getting you your Evil Pieces set. I've filled him in on your and the nekoshou's situation and he will be coming over periodically to examine them so as to not arouse too much attention from the Great King faction."

I bow my head in thanks to the. oth of them.

"Thank you, Lucifer-sama, Beelzebub-sama, for going out of your way for us. I will repay this debt in the future, when I am able to properly make a stand in devil society."

Ajuka: "There will be no need, the information you provided is more than enough. What we are doing is the payment for what you have provided.

Although I would like to continue this conversation of ours, why don't we got get your Evil Pieces. I am curious to know what happens when a child of High class strength and with the blood of both the Bael and Agares clans receives his set."

Ajuka is pretty laid back and straight to the point. We can probably get along quite well if I ever reach his level of ability.

Sirzechs agrees with Ajuka in knowing the outcome of receiving my pieces and is eager to go as well. As we stand to leave, the door is opened and in walks Grayfia and Venelana.

Venelana: "Ara, Sirzechs, why didn't you tell me you would be here? I'm sure Rias would be excited to see you again. I had hoped to have a little family get together soon."

The resident milf speaks in a mock hurt tone at the great Lucifer, eliciting a wry smile from him while Grayfia is content to watch her king get embarassed by his mother.

Srizechs: "Mother, it is not that I didn't want to see you but I had to meet Zell-kun here to fulfill a promise I made to him. As soon as this is over I would be glad to spend time with you and Ria-"

Grayfia: "Sirzechs-sama, I was made aware that you still have some paperwork to fill out and that needs to be handed over by tomorrow afternoon and have a meeting with Leviathan-sama in 30 minutes. Is it possible that you wish to negelect your duties?"

The silver haired beauty cut in and left the red head speechless. But a second later his speechlessness turned to slight fear at Venelana's words.

Venelana: "Ara, Zeze-chan, you better finish soon or I will inform Esdeath that you've been naughty. Fufufu"

Sirzechs turned white as a sheet but in his eyes is flashed a hint of excitement.

I will pretend I saw nothing. For my own mental health.

Sirzechs reomposes himself with a cough before he turns to me and Ajuka.

Srizechs: "Ko - hon. Zell-kun, Ajuka, let's go, I have something to do pretty soon so I would like to get done with this quickly."

Ajuka, seemingly already used to his best friend's antics, shrugs and casually makes a teleportation spell with himself as the center before we're wisked away, leaving a chuckling Venelana and a secretly smug Grayfia.

Sirzechs, Ajuka, and I emerge in a large empty hall. Red carpet extends under us leading to a large entrance behind and an elevated platform ahead of us. Atop the platform, is a large black monument emanating a red aura that stretches to the roof that gives off an oppressive feeling. If I remember correctly, it's made of the same material used in the Evil Pieces, Agreas Crystal.

Ajuka: "This is where the devils of high society hold the High rank promotion and Evil Piece conferring ceremony. I've had it emptied in preparation for today. There is usually a long process to become a high class devil but you basically skip that.

Though to be honest, the information you have provided is more than enough to promote you straight to a High class Devil due to the implications it can have. So even if later, others question the validity of your status, the paperwork has already been properly processed and approved by the Four Satans themselves.

Go ahead and approach the monument and It will take care of everything else."

I give a nod towards Ajuka and step up to the thing and after receiving the go ahead from Ajuka I place my hand on it.

Earlier, Ajuka had instructed me on how this process works, I just need to pour in my mana and the monument registers me as the "King" piece of the set. However, I want to try something, since I can probably only do this once, I may as well do it.

I take a deep breath and begin to channel my power, drawing power from all my abilities. PoD, Time, Space, and finally, my Demon mark. Although I can't really utilize Time and Space, it doesn't mean I can't feel it in me. I gather all the energy swirling within me and using my mana as a medium, blend it together.

If this was 2 weeks ago, I probably would have blown myself up from being unable to control all the power swirling within me. Now though, everything was under control.

My 4 abilities mixed together and formed a braid of energy, black and red for PoD, purple for Space, green for Time, and a deep purplish black for my Demon mark, all 4 in equilibrium with my mana as a catalyst, and I proceeded to pour the braid of energy into the monument.

The room lit up in a bright crimson radiance as a gust of mana swept through the hall, putting cracks into some of the stone pilars holding up the ceiling and on the floor.

The floor around the black slab of crystal cracked and cratered, enduring the brunt of energy being exuded from it, while I myself was entirely unaffected by the chaos around me.

Finally after a few seconds, it had calmed down and I stopped pouring my mana into it, looking over to speechless Ajuka and a dumbfounded Sirzechs. I smiled wryly at the crumbling appearance of the hall.

"I don't have to pay for that, right?"

Ajuka himself smiled wryly at the sight of the hall before shaking his head.

Ajuka: "Don't worry about it, I'll have this place cleaned up later. Your set will be ejected from the pillar momentarily. Let's see what the reult of your chaos is, shall we?"

Sirzechs shakes of his stupefication and eagerly looks towards myself and the pillar once more.

I nod at them and turn back to the pillar. 2 seconds later, it shines once more and ejects a small chessboard with 15 bright violet pieces orderly lining one side of the board, each exuding an aura equivalent to me when I'm fully powered up.

Sirzechs looks on in awe at the result before slowly freezing in shock at what he's witnessing while Ajuka freezes in his entirety.

I look at my Evil Pieces in shock at the power their releasing and awe at their beautiful appearance before turning to the 2 satans.

"Thank you, Beelzebub-sama for this oppor-"

Only to halt mid speech upon witnessing their frozen figures. Ajuka slowly recovers before taking a deep breath and finally speaks in a hushed voice.

Ajuka: "All mutation pieces"

"Eh?"

Zell.ExE has stopped working.

Sirzechs ended up sending me back while Ajuka stayed behind to examine the black pillar for any damage and for the cause of my full mutation piece set. It looks like he'll be quite busy with research for a while.

Upon returning, Sirzechs quickly bid goodbye before leaving to see Venelana while I walked through the halls, discreetly putting away my pieces.

My main goal for arriving in the Gremory territory has been accomplished, now I just want to train myself up some more and possibly reach the peak of High class. I also want to spend some more time to attempt to sway Venelana to my side.

Kuroka has been doing a good job in obtaining some info for me and it seems like what I thought of Zeoticus Gremory was right, he neglects his MILF of a wife for some low tier concubines with looks nowhere near Venelana's. It is an injutice on his part and one that I will happily take advantage of.

Grayfia also told me that my uncle will be coming over for a talk with a "special guest", me, so I'll be able to reunite with him then and get some tips in training my time abilities.

After that, I'll probably stick around for a few months for some further magic training and then take off towards the Human world to cause more timeline changing shenanigans and begin recruiting for my peerage.

But for now, Mommylana is waiting with dinner.
