They were on the mountain in the eastern direction of the sect, watching the golden light of the orb with her two companions

They still had their black clothes and hoods on, but since they were not hiding in shadows, their excellent figures could easily be seen.

"We have to put him on our side before the Celestial organization does; you saw that woman had gone to visit him!" Yu Rang said.

'Finally, someone worthy has come to the sect,' he thought from inside. He looked at the patriarch only to find a scowl on his face, but he hid it immediately.

"Is that so..." Elder Gao said with a thoughtful look, "Then can I give my granddaughter to you? She's a nice girl and an outer court disciple just like yourself," he said, offering his granddaughter without shame.

"Granddaughter, old man, I only want to embrace real beauties, not some little brats," he gave Elder Gao a questioning look; the latter was happy; he only wanted to guarantee the safety of his beloved little girl.

"Then I will have to meet her first. If she's as you say, then who am I to refuse a free meal, hehe..." He said. He did not care about the expressions on patriarch Zhang and Lu Hanchan's faces.

"Congratulations, disciple Phate," Elder Sun said after they were done with their friendly chatter with Elder Gao.

"Come on, elder Sun, that's be expected from this handsome young master!" He suddenly became narcissistic.

The patriarch did not let Phate flirt with Elder Sun any further and interjected.

"Congratulations, disciple Phate, now you're an official disciple of the Cherry Blossom Sect," patriarch Zhang said as if hinting at something.

Phate knew what the man wanted, but he would never bow to any man; he did it so much, "and one with high potential, the sect need to need to handle with care and nurture so well." He said, reminding the patriarch how a vital asset he was to the sect.

"You're a piece of jewel to us!" Gao said. Thalia just watched the little drama unfolding; she could tell Elder Gao was shielding Phate while simultaneously putting him at crossroads with the patriarch.

She wondered what the patriarch did to the man; the former did not seem to pick that much. Was he just stupid, or did he think Elder Gao was oblivious to something?

"That's right, you're a jewel to the sect; I can see you're already a spiritual lord, only a few levels to be qualified to enter the inner court, so don't slack and improve faster," the patriarch said.

"I am going to follow your wise advice, patriarch," he cupped his fist; he was somewhat sarcastic.

He didn't want a stranger telling him what to do.

"The Jade card will have the address for your residence in the sect, and it's the key to open the formation guarding it. You should pay the housing fee at the end of this month. More to note is in the book on the table inside your house. You can go now!" Lu Hanchan said to him.

"I will walk him out of the inner court; I will take my leave, patriarch!" Elder Gao cupped his fists together and left with Phate.

Elder Sun left after them.

"I think we need to contact them, patriarch Zhang," Lu Hanchan said; patriarch Zhang nodded in agreement.
