Level 1 again

Adriana finds it hard to believe everything Jane had said to her. She knew she heard a familiar voice but it was faint. And because she was drunk she didn't see his face at all. She picks her phone that kept on ringing on and on.

"Hello." Adriana says.

"Why didn't you pick up since yesterday?" The moment she heard the voice she recognized it immediately. It was the lobby girl that does delivery phone calls. Hillary.

"What's up Hillary? I know. Right. My bad I didn't call in to say I won't be at work I'm sorry." Adriana says.

"Oh no not that. It's fine if you are not here actually." Hillary says and Adriana eyes widens.

"What?! Did you call to tell me I'm fired?" Adriana says in terror afraid of losing her job after losing her love.

"No no! You've got it all wrong. Remember the last successful project you took part in? I just called to tell you you were given a one week pay with a $3,000 bonus. Don't get all worked up." She says and all her heart finally stops pounding.

"Gosh Hillary! You should have said so earlier."

"Like you picked your call uhn?" Hillary says then she scoffs.

"Alright, you'll receive your bonus after I hang up." And then Hillary hangs up and Adriana does receive her bonus immediately.

"Wow, I wasn't expecting something like this. My hard work really paid off. She opens her fridge and look at the empty spaces.

"Come on!!" She didn't know she ran out of groceries since she has been busy sulking and trying to get over her ex.

She puts on her denim jacket and ties up her hair with a hair band then picks up her phone and dash out the house. She puts on her ear pod and walks while listening to Kelly Clarkson song. Stronger. She gets to the grocery store and picks up what she needed the most. She moved the to the counter to pay up but there she saw something that reminded her of her self and her ex boyfriend. She watches as the couples intertwined their fingers as they pick up their groceries with lovey dovey eyes. 'i hate myself. I can't help but miss this feeling.' she thinks in her mind. "Miss could you please scan our qr code over here." The attendant says and Adriana snap out of her thought and scans it paying automatically. She leaves the store and walks down the street. Almost reaching home she saw a kid with a ipad with a grumpy face the little kiddo looks at his mother.

"Look what you did mum... I'll have to start from level one again." He says angrily

"I'm sorry son. I should have been careful. How about you start again so it can be much easier. If you do then you won't make the same mistakes as before, right?" His mother says and her words lightens up the boy's spirit.

"You are right mum!" He says happily and they both walk away. Adriana realize that she indeed was careless in her relationships. She should have learnt from her heart breaks but instead she kept doing the same thing.

"I guess it's level one again for me too." She says as she walks down her street back home. At her front porch she sees her ex boyfriend holding a bunch of yellow flowers. The moment he saw her he rushes over to her looking all innocent.

"Why are you here?" She asks with a straight face.

"I waited for you out. I guess you ran out of groceries." He replies trying to act cool.

"I asked you a question!" Adriana says angrily.

"Babe, don't be like this. We can sort it out. You and I." Tim her ex boyfriend says.

"Babe?! Babe?! Do you think you can still call me babe?! Tim we broke up remember." Adriana say trying not to feel affected.

"Look babe, we can't break up. I mean you can't leave me alone now. I still love you." Tim says.

"Love?! Come on! Love and you are fucking kissing another girl. I guess your love is two faced then. You know what? Just leave!" She says as she turns around to leave. Tim grabs her forearm and pulls her back.

"You can't make the call Adriana! I can't let you. I'll be the one to tell you when I'm done myself!!" Tim says totally sparking up Adriana's rage. She grabs the hand he held her with and she twist it backwards almost breaking it. Tim whimps in pain.

"I guess you forgot what a asshole I can be when angry. You'd better leave when I'm asking nicely." She says as she kicks him by the butt and sends him flying off to the ground.

"And one more time!! It is over between us. You understand!!" She says and picks up his flowers and slams it on his face.
