Two Mothers

My sister Margot's body was found in a drawer at home.

She was crammed into the drawer, her once lively frame reduced to a compressed mass of flesh.

However, she left behind a clue:

"Beware of the other mother at home."

On the third day following my sister Margot's departure, a swarm of flies suddenly appeared around the drawer in our home.

A strange odor caught my attention, and I opened the drawer in confusion.

At the next moment, my pupils contracted.

I saw Margot's body in the drawer.

A 16-year-old girl's body had been stuffed into a drawer no bigger than 3 square feet.

Her body had been reduced to a square chunk of flesh.

The corpse's state was so wretched that words failed me in describing it.

I collapsed to the ground.

My mother covered her mouth in horror and fainted.

My brother Mark stood there, seemingly composed, but his body betrayed him with constant trembling.

Half an hour later, the police arrived.
