Empty walking backpack

Tai gulped as hundreds of students seemingly appeared out of nowhere in front of the open door.

They all wanted to see the Ice Queen perform.

In the few days since he had woken up, Tai had come to realize that almost everyone had the same power level.

It was either a fire affinity with an awakened level system, or a water affinity with an awakened level system.

If not, then it was a wind affinity with an awakened level system, or an earth affinity with an awakened level system.

Everyone was just so cliché.

All except Hal, who had a fire affinity with an Ascended level system, and Nikolah, who had a super rare, very powerful ice affinity with an ...

To be honest, no one knew her system level.

But she was strong nontheless.

Tai himself wasn't cliché.

He had the single worst affinity in the entire school, and yet still had the worst ability to go along with it, at least that made him different.

Oh, and not to mention his Divine level system.

Then there was Claire.

She had an affinity for revelations with an awakened level system.

But she was just too wierd.

Together, they all made the most notable people in the academy for this decade.

Though Tai was notable for a reason he did not like.

Nikolah gingerly stood up from her seat, and walked down to the teacher's table.

With a sigh, a melodious voice resonated.

"Nikolah White, Affinity for the frost.

Last time, I was only able to manifest five separate streams of ice.

But today, I will be attempting to manifest eight."

The students at the door began to cheer.

"Eight streams of ice?!

Young Master Hal can only manifest six streams of fire!"

"She's a genius in the making!"

"What do you mean, "in the making", she's already a genius!, A super genius, even!!"

Athena did not look like the noise bothered her, and so did the blue haired girl, as she closed her eyes and a cold mist began to spread in the room.

In an instant, the room dropped by a hundred degrees.

Such that the nervous sweat running down Tai's face froze before they dropped to the floor.

Her azure blue hair began to turn snow white, as he eyes began to glow in an ethereal soft blue light.

"Freeze!"

Then the mist contracted into eight separate streams of moving ice, warranting a cacophonous applaud from the onlookers.

"Amazing!, Truly Amazing!!"

"Forget the Ice Queen, she's a fucking Ice goddess!"

"Marry me, Ice goddess Nikolah!"

Nikolah's pretty face and genius abilities had earned her quite a reputation with the students.

Especially the boys.

Athena smiled weakly.

"Very good, Unlocked Nikolah.

Next up, Auro Vagrenn."

Next, the bald kid stood up and walked to the front of the class.

"Auro Vagrenn, Affinity for the Beasts.

Last time, I was only able to manifest one magical beast creature, a winged rabbit.

However, today I will attempt to manifest two.

There wasn't much applause this time as Auro wasn't half a quarter as famous as Ice Queen, but his ability was pretty cool even if summoning was quite weak.

Who wouldn't want to ride on a giant six eyed magical wolf if they had the chance?

The bald teenager closed his eyes and small sparks manifested in front of him.

"Drakenus Rabbitocus!"

Soon, the sparks took the shape of a small rabbit with dragon like wings.

Then one became two.

And two became four.

Opening his eyes, Auro smiled broadly.

"I did it! I manifested four!!"

The crowd cheered him on as he rejoiced in ecstasy.

"Beast Baldie!"

"Beast Baldie!!"

"Beast Baldie!!!"

Athena smiled weakly once again.

"Great work, Auro.

Next up, Tai Leong!"

Tai froze in suprise.

"S-Shouldn't it be Claire going up?"

The lazy teacher sighed.

"Claire is a very 'special' case.

Now get your butt up here!"

The red haired teenager could feel his heart pounding like crazy as he walked up to the front of the class.

"T-Tai L-Leong, Affinity for items summoning..."

However, before he could finish, someone had chuckled.

"Hey, it's the walking back pack!"

Then instead of the cacophony of claps the rest had received, Tai got a cacophony of laughs.

"His ability is so useless!"

"Like how could you be a Protector of you can only make stuff appear?

Swords can't cut beasts, and you can't hurl a roll of toilet paper at a Flashback creature can you?"

"Walking back pack!"

"Walking back pack!"

"Walking back pack!"

"Walking back pack!"

Ignoring most of the snide remarks, Tai closed his eyes and copied the procedure the bald boy had used earlier.

Or at least he tried to.

No matter how hard he circulated his energy, no ethereal sparks appeared.

Soon enough, he had quickly run out of energy.

"I'm sorry, but I can't summon anything yet."

Athena opened her mouth to say something, but then she sighed and relaxed back on her swivel chair.

However, the crowd did not keep silent.

"He can't even summon a thing!"

"Young Master Hal was right, he is just a walking back pack!"

"No, no he can't summon anything.

That makes him an empty backpack!"

Then a chant began.

"Empty walking back pack!"

"Empty walking back pack!"

"Empty walking back pack!"

With a red face, Tai crashed on his chair and rested his head on the table.

"I hate this school."
