Volume 27 The threat

It just a day before the coronation! Yuri realising, he was running out of time he quickly woke up, he felt a sharp headache. Shion grabbed him back, he said, "You should sleep some more…" "The coronation is tomorrow; I have to make arrangements for…" Yuri with a panicking face laid out the details to Shion. Shutting Yuri with a passionate kiss Shion said, "Good morning my love, how are you?" With puppy eyes and a growling stomach Yuri replied, "I have a massive headache and I am super hungry…what time is it?" after quickly taking a bath Yuri rushed downstairs for breakfast, he peeked inside and saw the twins feeding Yuri. Shion hugged Yuri from behind and whispered, "Takato surely is happy to have older siblings." Juan spotted his parents first, he said, "Good morning mama and Papa." Yuna with a smile on her face winked at Shion, she had promised to take care of Takato practising her good deeds. Juan was much simpler minded and cooler than his sister, Yuri said, "I can see Yuna is a great sister." Shion helped Yuri dish up for breakfast, he assured Yuri everything was arranged to perfection.

Their wedding portrait was hanged in almost every corner of the house, Yuri looked stunning in every picture. Daniel and his partner Talin returned from their leave they gave themselves; Mike and Lucy sent a gift. Daniel looking at the twins said, "Oh my God, you are the two most beautiful babies l have ever seen." He kept snapping pictures at them, Shion said, "Daniel stop harassing my children." Yuri gave Shion a peck kiss on the forehead, Daniel teased him, "Someone had a steamy night…" "Don't be gross in front of my kids," Yuri threw a pillow at Daniel to shut him up. Shion asked, "What is for lunch honey?" Takato and Juan were turning the kitchen upside downplaying with their cars, Yuri sighed, "I made your favourites, can you call the boys over? Yuna would you lend me a hand in setting the table." Yuna handed Shion the book she was reading, "Papa, can you hold this for me?" Daniel was puzzled that Shion had already established a strong bond with the twins. Daniel asked, "What did you give the poor kid to call you Papa?" Browsing the book Shion replied, "It is my little secret, I can see you enjoyed your vacation." During lunch Daniel bragged about his trip to the couple, Yuna leaned over to Shion, "Papa, can you help me in cutting my meat?" Shion cut the steak into small pieces, Yuri was pleased to see Shion getting along with Yuna. Juan looking at Shion asked, "Papa, can we go to a sports race?" "Oh the one I saw you starring at?" Yuna grabbed Shion before he answered, she whispered something in his ear. Clearing his throat Shion said, "I will take you to the race." Daniel offered to look after the children overnight whilst Yuri and Shion drove to a hotel. Yuri starring at Shion asked, "You seem to be quiet close to Yuna, I mean you two haven't know each other for long." Shion kissed Yuri's hand, he replied, "I have know them for five years, she is my daughter. Are you ready to be crowned the Queen of Qin kingdom?" Yuri grabbed his glasses to read a catalogue, he completely ignored Shion. When they arrived at the hotel Yuri helped Shion undress for the bath, tomorrow was a big day for the two. Yuri joined Shion in the tub, he sat in front of Shion. Yuri said, "I am worried that Victor will pull a stunt to ruin our big day. He is totally against all of this." Shion scrubbed Yuri's hair as he massaged his sculp, "Together we are stronger my love, I love you." Yuri gently gave Shion a passionate kiss, they held themselves back to conserve energy for tomorrow.

The royals and the media arrived at the Qin palace, everyone was amazed by the portraits of Yuri and Shion on the wall. Victor starring at Yuri said, "He looks beautiful, even long hair suits him." The twins welcomed everyone in their humble palace, Takato was beside them as they were waiting for their parents. Yuna and Juan formally greeted the dragon clan, Victor looking at them asked, "Have you settled well? I hope you aren't causing trouble for your mother." Yuna bowed her head and replied, "Thank you your Majesty, mother helped us to settle down." Anya looked at Yuna with cold eyes, "Fix the crown on your head, keep your head up like a lady." Lord Usagi was impressed with all the decorations and arrangements, after everyone was settled it was time for the couple to make an appearance. Everyone gathered outside when their convoy arrived, Lord Usagi was worried Victor would ruin their day. Shion came out first from the car, he was dressed in a white royal robe with a brown and golden cape. The media flushed their cameras as they took pictures from him, he opened the door for Yuri. Everyone jaw dropped when they saw a beautiful male dressed in matching clothes with Shion. Lord Usagi announced, "We are gathered here to welcome King Shion into the Qin palace with his partner King Yuri. All Hail King Shion and King Yuri!" Victor was perfectly calm standing beside Nara, everyone exclaimed as the couple proceeded to the palace. The procession was long and boring, Shion and Yuri kept smiling and whispering to each other. Lord Usagi placing a crown over Yuri's head said, "The dragon clan bless your marriage, may the Qin kingdom continue to flourish in your assistance. All hail the Dragon mother, King of the Qin kingdom!" Bowing down everyone repeated after Lord Usagi, Victor kept his cool head throughout the procession. Each kingdom present gifts and ornaments to the new Queen of Qin kingdom, in ancient history it was the first time for a kingdom to have two Kings.

Yuri and Shion were exhausted after the procession, a warm bath was prepared for them to relax. Shion said, "Thank you for choosing me." Starring at the handsome face of his husband Yuri replied, "I would be the world greatest fool if l didn't, I will quickly check up on the kids." Victor and Anya stayed behind, mostly to look after the twins. Yuri slowly opened the door and saw Yuna singing a lullaby for Takato, he smiled at them. Juan was fast asleep beside Takato, he tackled the two to bed, with the help of Yuna he packed away the toys. Yuri helped Yuna to choose a nightdress, "Yuna, so if you were to live here forever with me and Shion would you agree?" Yuna with a smile on her face replied, "Yes I will!" Yuri kissed her forehead before he left their room. "It would be nice if l prepare coffee for Shion," Yuri thought to himself, he went inside the kitchen and saw Victor sitting all alone. Yuri cleared his throat, "I am sorry for invading, I will use the other kitchen…" "This is your palace; I am just here to drink water." Victor was actually pleased to see Yuri. Waiting for the water to boil Yuri set up the tray with mugs and biscuits to accompany the tea, he was humming his favourite song. Victor breaking the awkward silence asked, "Are you happy Yuri?" It was to be expected for Victor to ask his ex-wife such question, with a smile on his face Yuri replied, "Who would be happy to be with their family?" Victor placing Yuri's hand on his heart replied, "I feel miserable Yuri, I have played nicely along to every demand. I love you so much, I made a mistake…can't you forgive me and return to our home with me?" Yuri slapped Victor's hand away, with an angry look on his face he replied, "This is my home Victor…never disrespect my marriage in my presence ever again. We had our chance and it didn't work out…our bond is broken. I am happy you bonded with Anya…in that way you can move along with your life and stay out of my marriage with…" Victor forcefully kissed Yuri, the objects in the tray broke when Yuri dropped the tray. Yuri pushed Victor away as he wiped away the blood on his lips, with cold eyes Victor shouted, "You belong to me! You are mine Yuri!" Victor with great strength tore Yuri's clothes, with one hand he grabbed both of Yuri's hands. He wanted to forcefully rape and bond with Yuri, before he could even bite Yuri he was suddenly dragged away by great force. Yuri saw the Juan standing at the doorway, his eyes were red and glowing. Juan fuming with anger said, "Stay away from my mama!" The whole glasses in the kitchen shattered on the floor, realising what he had done Victor said, "I am sorry…" Shion rushed over to a corner where Yuri was lying unconscious, "Honey…wake up…Yuri!" Looking at a shameful Victor, Shion stormed out of the room carrying Yuri in his arms. Daniel immediately came as soon as he was called by Shion, an anxious Shion paced up and down waiting for the news. Daniel looking at Shion said, "He just passed out, don't tell me you fucked your wife till he passed out!" Daniel busted out in laughter unaware of the incident. Victor without knocking at the door entered, "Get out Victor!" Victor moved closer to Yuri who was sound asleep, "To think my ex-wife would rebel against me…I should have banished you with the rest of those scoundrels. The more you keep Yuri by your side the more he will be hurt…I know you are a wise man Shion…my patience is running out." Daniel was standing quietly at a corner; he felt a shiver down his spine when he saw Victor's one golden and black eye. In front of Shion, Victor kissed Yuri on the forehead before he left the room.
