Volume 22 Yuri's awake

The gang decided to confront Shion, they waited till night. Shion always slept beside Yuri, when he entered, he said, "Why are you still here?" Daniel was holding an injection standing beside Yuri, he said, "As your friend, for four years l blindly supported your decision, it is time to set Yuri free." Shion glared at Daniel with cold eyes, "Get away from my Yuri. If you have given up, then walk away l can look after him myself." Mike removing his hat said, "I understand your pain, this is utter madness. Yuri deserve to rest…" "If you kill Yuri, then you have also killed me!" Shion shouted at the three. Shion grabbed a knife at the cupboard, he pointed the knife on his heart, "Get away from him." Daniel, Lucy and Mike slowly moved away from the bed; Yuri was staring at Shion. Walking slowly towards Yuri, Shion dropped the knife in his hands. As tears trickled down his cheeks, he knelt on the ground and said, "Yuri, can you hear me?" Yuri only managed to drop tears, squeezing Yuri's hand Shion said, "I love you Yuri…I love you so much." Daniel looking at Lucy and Mike said, "I guess I won the bet, give me my money." Lucy taking five hundred dollars angrily looked at him and said, "You have ruined such a romantic moment, couldn't you wait till this was over." Shion sniffing asked, "Thank you so much for waking my Yuri up. I am forever indebted to you." Mike cleared his throat, "Our licence will be revoke once His Majesty's existence is known by Lord Usagi. Our well being is your responsibility now." They all busted out in laughter, deep down they didn't care about losing their licence. After Shion was calm Lucy said, "I have already researched on the therapy Yuri needs to fully recover. I noticed he hasn't uttered a word or moved his body." Shion looked at Yuri, he replied, "I will provide funds for the equipment needed." Daniel patted Shion's shoulder, "If Yuri hurts my friend, I will personally inject him with poison. Thanks to you and your drama, he can see daylight once again."

For six months, Yuri journey to recovery was emotional and quite heart-warming. Takato spent most of the days with Yuri during his training, Lucy as his coach helped him complete every task. Shion was chased out most of the time to give Yuri time to heal, he was worried Yuri would be disabled. Lucy looking at Shion said, "What if Yuri never walks or talks ever again?" Shion held his hands, "I will take care of him till my last breath. I am happy he managed to wake up." Shion was summoned to Victor's kingdom to celebrate Lord Usagi and Nara's wedding anniversary. Shion knelt before Yuri who was sitting on the wheelchair, he said, "I promise to return as soon as the ceremony is over. I will call Lucy to check up on you…I miss your voice and smile. Look after Takato whilst I am gone. I love you." Takato was a two-year-old little bunny, he climbed on Yuri's lap eating his apple. After Shion had left, Lucy said, "Why haven't you told him about your recovery?" Yuri patting Takato's head replied, "I am not ready to face him now…hey my little bunny." Takato handed a half-eaten apple to Yuri, "Mama!" Yuri took a bite and turned his wheelchair to face Lucy, "It breaks my heart to know how much pain he endured for four years waiting for me." Lucy placed her file on the desk, she replied, "You have to properly thank him, now get up. We have to run two laps today." Daniel and Mike were aware of Yuri's recovery, they were siding with Yuri to hide the full details from Shion. As Yuri was running in the field his long hair was tied back, Takato was playing with his toys on the benches with Daniel. After completing his routine and stretches Lucy asked, "Do you feel any pain? Particularly back pains? Even in sweatpants you look beautiful than me." Yuri kissed Takato on the forehead, "No l am perfectly alright. The secret is in being in a coma for four years." Daniel offered him a bottle of water, he said, "I am impressed with your quick recovery." Yuri took a sip, he replied, "It has been six months, I didn't want Shion to worry any longer…" "I have a perfect plan for your first impression. This will be memorable…it always works with my fiancée." Daniel filled with enthusiasm explained the details to Yuri. With a surprised face Yuri said, "I wonder how come you are a doctor." Yuri lifted Takato into his arms, "My little prince, let us have a bath." Yuri was fully aware of all the developments and changes that had taken place for the last four years. Yuri's first priority was to make it up for Shion, waking up was a second chance he needed to finally pour Shion with happiness and love.

When Shion arrived at the banquet all royals had already settled, the twins warmly embraced him. King Shion sat on the royal table, he barely touched his food. Victor offered him a glass of whiskey, "It has been long, where is Prince Takato?" Shion placed the glass on the table, "Takato didn't want to come, I can see the twins are growing up." Anya joined the party; she was dressed in a silk sexy gown with a robe on top. Shion noticed a mark on her neck, he decided to reserve his comments, Anya walked with Victor away. Lord Usagi held his glass high, "This is for my lovely King, may we grow old together. Happy 30th anniversary!" Everyone cheered as they drank and ate in merry, Shion sneaked out of the palace. Victor caught up with him before he entered the cars, "King Shion, can l have a word?" Shion closed his door, Victor handed him a card, "We are hosting a party for the twins from the second of November to the fourth of November. They will be delighted if you bring Prince Takato along. I was hoping one of the ladies would grab your attention." Shion bowed his head as he received the card, "I will surely bring him, I have pending work at the palace. Please excuse me my Prince." Victor entered the palace; he saw Juan and Yuna standing before Yuri's portrait. Juan said, "I wish mama to come for our birthday." Victor patted their head; their birthday was only left with two weeks. The twins were raised as adults, their royalty level was on another level.

Shion arrived two days later at his kingdom, the maids warmly welcomed him. Takato was fast asleep since it was late at night, Shion sighed, "I will quickly take a bath before l sleep in my mother's manor." Mary the head maid bowed her head, "Yes my King, I will look after Prince Takato." The maids were forbidden to utter a word about Yuri's existence, Mary usually brought food to Yuri and other supplies. Shion removing his robe replied, "He usually like to play with his mama, when he wakes up bring him to the manor." Shion peeked at Takato who was asleep in his room cuddling to a toy, he carefully closed the door. Shion opened the door and saw a person dressed in a shirt standing at the balcony. Shion moving closer noticed it was Yuri, he gently hugged him from the back, "If this is a dream, I don't ever want to wake up…" "Oh my God, you scared me to death!" Yuri exclaimed as he gently patted his heart. Shion turned Yuri's head and passionately kissed him, gasping for air Yuri said, "You have ruined my surprise. Welcome home Shion." As Yuri was hugging Shion he could feel warm tears dropping on his shoulders. After a long time embracing each other, Shion said, "This is the best surprise ever. At this rate I might die of happiness." Yuri tightly hugged him back, the two were fully reunited.

Shion refused to let Yuri out of his sight, they were cuddling in bed. Yuri looking in Shion's eyes asked, "I don't know what to say…I am really thankful that you saved my life. However how could you be so naïve to wait for four years what if l didn't wake up?" Shion smiled as he kissed Yuri on the forehead, "My heart was filled with hope that my Yuri would return to me, I didn't mind waiting even forever." Yuri blushed at Shion's words, "I was hoping to escape the royal household, seems more like I was born to be a royal. I am sorry about your father's death, I will forever cherish the gift he left for me." Yuri held the ring close to his heart, he opened his eyes when he felt a hard object poking his belly. Yuri asked, "Aren't you shameless?" Shion with puppy eyes replied, "It is your fault for looking so sexy in my shirt only…this is seduction!!" Yuri hit him with a pillow, "Your trousers were too big for me…" Shion flipped him over, giving him a passionate kiss he said, "I know you are still a patient, I will not overdo it." Yuri with a flustered face covered his face.
