Volume 16 Family

Nara was puzzled to see Daniel lying beside his naked body, he quickly grabbed his clothes and went to the guest room. Daniel saw a defenceless Yuri asleep on the sofa, he properly covered him up with a blanket. Nara heard faint noises of a person humming a song, he had taken a bath. Nara quietly walked into the kitchen; Daniel offered him a hangover soup. Nara looked at Yuri who was sound asleep, "I guess he had it rough with us last night." None of them remembered what they had done, as they were having a peaceful morning a knock on the door was heard. Daniel opened the door, he quickly fell on his knees, "Greetings my Lord." Victor and Usagi had travelled all night with no guards to fetch their wives. Nara's heart skipped a beat, he dropped the bowl in his hand. Victor quickly rushed over to Yuri who was asleep on the sofa. Victor kissed him and said, "I had missed you so much, why are you asleep here." Yuri slowly opened his eyes, "Victor? What are you doing here?" Yuri saw Lord Usagi standing in front of Nara. Daniel stepped outside; the royal were dominating his house. Usagi helped Nara to pick up the broken pieces on the floor, Nara was trembling. Usagi held Nara face gently, "I know my past deeds hurt you deeply, I wish I could turn back time and treat you better…" "It is alright, you didn't have to travel all this way to apologise." Nara was scared Usagi would hit him. Kneeling before Nara, surprising everyone in the room, "I was wrong to treat you horribly, grieving for Marie is no excuse for what l did to you. You were hurting as much as I was because she was your sister. In my heart you aren't a replacement for Marie, you are Nara the man I love. What I feel for you is true, I want to spend the rest of my life with you even if it means giving up my crown and live on a farm with you." Yuri and Victor were touched by Usagi's confession, Nara looked at the sincerity in his eyes, "This all I ever wanted, for you to love me as Nara not my sister's replacement. You have hurt me, but I still love you." Victor covered Yuri stomach when his parents kissed, Yuri looking at Victor said, "Look at you, being the dad…you could have waited for a month you know." Victor kissing Yuri at his sleepy eyes replied, "You have to strike the iron whilst it's still hot. Thank you, Yuri you glued the broken pieces of our family. We are going to be good parents, look at us uniting old lovers." With the help of Victor, Yuri managed to cook breakfast for the guests and Daniel. Nara offered to take breakfast for Daniel who was at the stables, placing his tools down Daniel quickly sat on a chair to eat. Nara said, "Thank you sheltering us, I wanted your help setting up my farm here." Daniel smiled, "It will be my honour, what kind of environment would you prefer?" Nara looking around Daniel's farm replied, "When my grandkids are born, I would like to have a farm vacation home, the land has to be big. Large scale farming for different vegetable and an orchard. My husband will take care of labour, I want the farm near a stream." Daniel had the perfect plot on sale that fitted the description. "I am sorry at the end your love for Yuri didn't end well, but I do hope you will find a lover soon." Nara patted Daniel back before he walked away, Daniel laughed at his own misery. Victor looking at his phone sighed, "I have a meeting tomorrow at lunchtime, father have you received the message." Checking his phone Usagi frowned, "We have to get going, I wanted to prolong our stay." Daniel was quietly seated on the sofa, Yuri looking at Daniel said, "Once again I have troubled you again, thank you for taking care of us Daniel. I hope to see you soon, I heard you will be in the city selling your farm produce." Usagi wrote a huge amount on his cheque, handing it over to Daniel he said, "Take this as a token of gratitude, thank you taking care of my family. If this isn't enough write any figure you wish to top up." Daniel refused the money, "Yuri is my family, these doors are always open for him…" Usagi placed the cheque in his hands, "As I said it is just a token of appreciation, unfortunately we have to get going. Please take care." Nara looking around asked, "I didn't notice any guards. Did you drive here alone?" Usagi kissed Nara on the forehead, "We wanted to have a private father and son moment, bonding and driving for miles in an open road. Now I can see it was a bad idea, my arms feel sore." Yuri wanted to have a word with Daniel, Victor decided to wait for him outside. Yuri smiled at Daniel, "I am sorry all these years I was blind to see your true feelings, thank you always been there for me. I might not be your lover, but I am always here if you need a friend or love advisor." Daniel knelt down on one knee, as tears run down his cheeks he smiled and replied, "Travel safe you Majesty, thank you for everything. Thank you for accepting me as your friend, to me it might not be enough, but I appreciate it." Victor was listening standing at the door, he felt bad for Daniel to have bottled his feelings for so long.

Usagi was holding Nara's hand as they drove home, Victor was patting Yuri's head as he was peacefully asleep on his lap. Usagi looking at the view mirror said, "How about we eat out today? What will Yuri love to eat?" Victor looking at Yuri replied, "Anything with more meat and zero vegetables, I guess today he can have his way today." Nara kept starring at Usagi, in his heart he wished, "If this is a dream, I want to sleep forever." Usagi kissed Nara's hand, they stopped by a restaurant, Yuri ate meat to his heart's content. They were a normal family, sharing old stories whilst eating and drinking beer except for Yuri and Victor who was driving the remaining distance. Usagi and Nara sat on the back, they slept holding each other's hands. Victor kept stealing glances at Yuri who was focused on his phone reading Shion's messages, "Yuri, I love you." Yuri turned his phone off to focus on Victor, "I love you Victor." Placing Yuri's hand on his heart Victor said, "This is how much your presence affect me, I feel like kissing you right now." Yuri looking at the sound asleep couple said, "You parents are here, are you crazy?"

The annual general meeting was held with all shareholders present, the meeting was held to welcome Yuri on board. Yuri was given a stake since he was a member of the royal family, the shareholders presented the financial statements and budgets of the next operating years. Nara paid special attention, Usagi explained the areas that were difficult for him to understand. Victor leaned closer to Yuri, "I would like to introduce you to Junta's family. He is Shion's brother who runs K group, today his sister Anya is available." Yuri never knew Shion's family, he saw Shion representing the K group. After the meeting Junta went over to where Yuri and Victor were sitting, "My greetings my Royal highnesses. We meet again beauty." Yuri bowed his head as he looked at Shion who was sited all alone. Shion smiled as he bowed his head at Yuri, Victor kissed Anya's hand. Junta introduced, "This is my sister Anya. As you can see Anya, this is Prince Yuri, he is Victor's wife." Yuri was pleased to meet Anya; he sensed a weird vibe between Anya and Victor. Yuri looking at Victor said, "I would like to have a word with Shion, please excuse me. It was a pleasure meeting you Anya." Shion walked out of the board room with Yuri, from a distance Victor saw Shin laughing in the company of his wife. Anya asked, "It has been long Victor, we never had the time to talk." Victor looked at Junta, he replied, "We have business to discuss right? Let us discuss the issues in my office." Shion looking at Yuri said, "You are my life saver, Prince Victor would have bite my head off." Yuri noticed that Shion was hiding his sadness behind a smile, he asked, "Why are you working as a secretary when you have a presidential spot at K group? Why didn't you tell me you have siblings?" Shion saw Junta walking out of the board room, "You never asked, how about we talk some other time. I have a meeting to attend to, I ordered the cheesecake you liked and l left it on your desk."
