Krya accepted itand followed me, we let Heather in her room not far from ours and wwhen we saw Goryak at our lair's entrance, we knew we were at the right spot, he jumped at his mother's neck and looked at me

I saw his tail wagged from left to right and he entered with us, Krya laid Goryak the joined me

"well...Sulfuris was waiting for me there, hidden by a spell !"

Krya was thinking a bit, those fights seems too easy to win for me, they're hidding somethings

I joined Korak and asked him what kind of shit pile we got until a shockwave made me feel on the ground

I ran by his sides while thinking of a plan, I found Laryka with her team fortifying the volcano

I heard the horns outside blowing and the rocks crushing against the volcano, I looked at the opening above me and when Laryka saw my opened wings, I listened to her

"that's it, the chief gone totally mad !"

"I'm faster and more agile than anyone here, I maybe can slow ennemies attack down the time to get gground back ups !"

"you will die, there's dozens of catapults and balistas out there, without counting those bearded bastards !"

I growled towards my sister and took off, I was just outside that a boulder went straight at me, as fast as a crossbow bolt, I grabbed it and threw it backat them, crushing catapults and one or two balistas

Before they can shot at me even more, I roared and shots my fireballs at the war machines with a perfect aim

My flames burnt others catapults, a balista's bolt were shot at me, I dodged it but the tip of it slashed a bit my left side, I growled with rage and dive towards her, they could not used their war machines if the target is on the ground, with the shot stopping, Laryka went out by the front door, all alone, throwing a rock at the machines left intact

"you'll see the bearded, you'll be crispied now !"

"CHARGED MY BROTHERS, yelled the dwarf's chief."

A dwarf's batalion charged, me and Laryka pushed them back for our freedom but more for our survival, I cut a dwarf in two with one claw hit when I saw an other one jumped on my sis,an axe in his hand, I went between them and took the hit at her place, the axe stuck in my right shoulder, I felt on the ground andLaryka turned them to dust, everything was just ashes, even their armor, while she thought I was unconscious, but I was standing up myself, took out this axe myself and throw it to a last dwarf ready to attack her, she saw him falling entirely dead and saw the last dwarf hesitated, I lightly stumbled besides Laryka, my wounds were bleeding but my lust of burning all those dwarfs down gave me enought stamina to stand still in front of them

"are you really sure you can do it ?"

"yes...if they need a demon to be scared of, I will be !"

I roared twice louder than before, thhe dwarves fled and the six others chiefs joined us, time for them to be all away from here, we charged all together and eliminated the rest, into battle fury, we were all wounded, more or less severly, using human way, for us, that were only fleshwounds, more or less sevrely nonetheless, the dwarves were retreating, their war machines were just pile of dust and the bodies of their loss covered the volcano's entrance,it was still standing and the seven chiefs were still alive...but not intact, to be honest, wile the six others were celebrating our victory, I stumbled agains and felt on the ground...no doubt because of the many blood loss.

When I woke up, without lying, few hours of healing and resting after...maybe more, I saw Laryka beside me

"I'm dead ! I asked."

"nope, you're alive bro...nice fight, we could say..."

"if you dare say dad, I'll ripped your head's off !"

I immediately growled and Laryka growled as answer, on the same tone as mine, it almost makes me laught

"what you wanna do know ?"

I growled with pain and knew immediately what to do

"take back our island !"

"ah ah...verry funny, she said with sarcastitic tone, seriously, what's the plan ?"

"they thought they got us right ? they messed up totally, it's our good time to stryke back now !"

"you're more than just deranged, answred Laryka, you are all wounded, the good news is you're all still alive...for the clan's chiefs, form the war chiefs side, I think I'm the best, they fear each others...like totally lame, if you know what I'm saying !"

She finally got me speechless, Laryka was worried about me, she just play the meanie affraid of beeing left alone, without parents...it's not just me,in the kids parent kind of shit relationship, I got one of the worst possible.but Laryka worshipped Arkorn, me,I don't even got a hero, I always live in a hole as big as a burrow and then a ridiculous cave

"Tolryk, you are somebody really important, you are your own hero !"

"Laryka, please...stop ! I'm cheered because we're at war, if we win, I'll stayed the same, the arseling, even dead, Arkorn's words will stayed carved in their empty stupid skulls !"

"not if I'll take care of that !"

I almsot burt out laughting, ok, her warrior crew is the best of the best in dragon's side, but the veterans listen only other old scales and NEVER a dragoness...even her

"Laryka...even with the gods at your sides, those olds bag of used scales will never listen to you, except maybe on one condition..."

"which one ?"

"just need to beat them down...and I'll do it with great pleasure."

Laryka wanted to cut my words but Krya just joining us

"sorry to interrupt, I was worried !"

Laryka was leaving and Krya took her place, I was not very surprised to get slappedby her

"don't ever do that again !"

For the first time of all my life, Krya just hit me and this one was far far worst than any of the dwarves ones earlier

"that's gotta hurt ! siad Krya."

"very funny...you wanted for me to be a hero and when I did, I got slapped !"

I don't know why but I felt really bad, I thought I did good but from her, that was wrong

I put my head down, still felt some pains from my light war wounds, just two or three scars, no more ! she healed my wounds and looked at me tenderly

I smiled and kept my head down, she's right, if I wanted to have my family and lived happilly, I must stayed alive...a critical mission in time of war

"you will need some rests, the next step is the stronghold, when this one will fall, Bloodground will be ours !"

"but not the others, Bloodground is in the middle of the archipelago, we will be constatly in danger and in under troops to keep it safe !"

"no one told you about the thing ?"

"the rebelion just started on all the island with our actions here, all the others islands started to rise against the oppresors, thye will be too busy focusing on the control of the other islands than took Bloodground back, it will be impossible for them !"

"how can ou know that ?"

"Tolryk, I'm as smart as you, if we took an island back while the rebelion fights in the others, they couldn't send back up to claim back Bloodground fro them, it's obvious dearie !"

Krya smiled at me and for the first time, I feel foolish, I was ready to hide below my wings but Kryak snuggled against me

"you are marvelous my boy, it happens to everyone to not think about everything, that's all !"

She kissed me and took me back to our room for some good and needed rest.

A few days later, Sanira looked a plan of the enemy stronghold, without a doubt stolen and for my huge surprise, she gave me no role for this plan

"Tolryk, by your insubordination, you will no longer be into battle, even if I like to count your body as our victims !"

The more surprisingly was than Laryka took my defense before than the six other new chiefs...in the mean time, she didn't let them the time to explain

"if he's not with us, I took back my troops !"

"no way, you're part of my plan !"

"not without my brother ! he lead us all to this, without him we got no chance !"

"it's a lie Laryka !"

The others chiefs then followed her argue, defending me, I looked at the roof and ended up Krya said

"if Tolryk is not with us, the rebelion will turned off, we all need him, you like him or not !"

"never ! we never need him and will never in any case, he'll stays as far as possible of this fight."

Even more surprising for me, the few saved troops from the other clans took also my defense, saying that if I was not there, a defeat will fall upon us all, Sanira was against it and finished by kicking me out from the room. I left it and of course, I was decided to think about my own plan, if they're only the stronghold left, I need to identify the leader normally supervising for the enemy, to analyse him and found his weaknesses, I was wondering who could be that son of a whore of leader

"need help ? asked Tyrok, sitting on my shoulder."

"Tyrok ? what are you..."

"you honestly think we'll followed her and not you, replied Trogan, what's your plan to take back Bloodgroud ?"

"I need to know who is leading ?"

"by the spies, continued Korak, a knight of the Order, he is persuaded we all are the Devil incarnated, he got weapons better than catapults or balistas."

All I just want is to live free and also for all other dragons here, no more no less. I left our base and looked all around when outside, the enemy forces, more humans, were all got back into their stronghold, last enemy bastion on Bloodground, I drank some good and fresh water from a lake while thinking of a plan when I heard a scream of terror, I was going to the not far area and saw a troop of guard following a guy in a gigantic armor, trying to climb a rock

"but sir, it's just a tiny lil spider !"

"I hate those things !"

The spider's haters had a gigantic armor looking like those from a knight's group Arkorn spoke off, the knight of the order, those fools had decided to kill all things that their relgion didn't accepted and considered like darknesse's incarnated creatures, of course we're part of them...this dork just gave me the perfect plan for his own downfall, I went back to our camp but before I can joined the others, Sanira caught me by the neck and pinned me against a wall

"you will pay for your disobedience !"

"if you want our defeat...go on lock me in !"

Before I can even add anything else, she asked of two of her favorites guards to lock me in until the end of the war.

The day of the stonghold's battle, at least i suppose so, seems the calm in all those tunnels, I was laying against my cell's wall, looking only at the one exit I got, I didn't know from how long I was here, days, weeks...it's the sound of a shock against a wall who woke me up, when the rock who blocked the only way out was crushed and I could see one of Sanira's guard, knocked out, followed by a well known face, I thought I was dreamming

I stood up and was wondering what could happen there to make her change her mind this quick

I finished following here until we reached the south side of the island, Bloodground is not famous for its fully grown forests or for water sources, it's flat ground with grass on top, not counting small woods and shruberey, after we cross the all majority of the south part, a few meters before the stronghold,we arrived at what I suppose to be the military nursery lead by Yrana

"Sanira will kill them all, usually, she did better than that !"

"Yrana, I said, what's the situation ?"

"Tolryk, the gods been blessed, Laryka found you, I got more wounded than remedies, if you had a better plan it's the time,or else, we're done for."

"I got one, Laryka, how's your troops ?"

"joined me will your all unit and the six other heirs, my plan will work and get us to victory easily !"

I walked throuht the nursery swearing to myself than my eyes will never gotta see again those disastrous show of dragons, dying or handicaped for life by military decisons,I found back the others heirs and with all surprises, they were all overjoyed to see me here

Marykka looked at the battle as I joined her, I blew in a horn that araks gave me a bit before, it prodiced a sound only them can hear and Korak joined me

"Korak, I leanrt that their leader is affraid of spiders, some araks will enter by a tunelinto the foundations of the stronghold seems by all surprise he had built one, when they'll be all in...

He left immediately for the nursery while I watched over the stronghold gate's opening, after a few minutes, the gate opened and Korak was back

"sorry, I only found those students near the wounded !"

When I saw that Krya was not here too, I feared the worst, the only reason for Yrana to leave her post, it's because a dragoness is laying eggs, when I saw the leader and a small escrot leaving to the west while Sanira and her troops slaughtering the rest of human ones, sure between araks form behind and dragons in front, they're screwed

"Laryka, with me, I think I know what this bastard will do now !"

"girls, burnt all the humans you'll see, don't let them a chance to surrender !"

"m'am yes m'am ! roared all the team !"

Well yeah, I exagerated by saying all the team, she just got a tiny part of it for now but the rest of the team will be discovered later, Laryka and I ran against this chief, if his plan is to kill Krya during the battle, he must be dreaming if he think to be victorious

"if he's trully aiming for that, I'll take care of his escort and I let you take care of him !"

Knowing Krya, she must have found a cave not far and of course,we saw the humans with their chief, watching over a cave not far

While Laryka attracted the guys, I'll took the opportunity to enter in the cave and see Kya laying our eggs

She immediately threw it on him and its armor immediately rusted, he was forced to take it off enitrely or else, it's tetanos, even his sword was useless

As I never lied, I tortured him to death for hours, when his soul left his body, I cut his head off and threw the rest of him down to this cave, the perfect last place for a rat like him, I even saw on his armors chest his stupid name...sir Hervé...too bad, you died as you lived before. I joined Krya who kept her three eggs warm and cozy close to her, I nuzzled her and smiled, Yrana told me she will need quite a lot of rest for now, she will stay besides Krya to help her, I felt a bit worried until Laryka arrived

"the escort is eliminated...I see that Krya is still alive ?"

"yes, the chief is dead !"

"well, I think you got a victory to announce !"

now, I'm fully in a turd pile, me doing a speech ? I sighted and heard roaring outside, lot of them

"don't tell me they're here ?"

"of course they are, they were not seeing you back from here !"

I swallowed hard and left, all the troops, excepted Sanira and her soldiers, I was ready to start but I heard a "click" who took me by surprise, I turned to the origin of the sound and saw a balista bolt flying towards me, launching from the small forest below, I was like frozen, maybe just a dumb trap will end this story sooner than expected.
