Chapter Two

Edithe arrived home exactly 6:00P.M, she took her phone and she looked for Kira's and Elias's FriendBook accounts, she searched for Kira Llaine Irvin and Elias Raven Solitude, she sent a friend request to both people, not long after she sent the request, Kira and Elias accepted the friend request that Edithe sent, she then created a group chat with the people who are able to help with the banner, Grayson, Kira, and Elias, and two more more people that Grayson added to the group chat, " Hello! I can bring the paints and brushes we need for the banner! " Edithe sent her message with a bunny sticker that is smiling, " I can bring some too, " Grayson replied and sent a photo of a set of poster paints that seemed like it is unused, the conversation then lasted for an hour from the topic regarding the banner to what they had for dinner, " I had fried rice and grilled chicken for dinner, " Elias shared a photo of the delicious fried rice along with a grilled chicken thigh, " Looks delicious,Bring us some, mah boi, " Grayson replied, " No, I mean—before I even can get the chance to give to you guys it's spoiled already, " He sent his message with a frowning emoji, grayson then reacted with a laughing emoji to his message followed by a message, " It's fine, I'm just messin' with ya. " After a few more minutes the conversation dried out, with no more topics to talk about, Edithe then looked at the messagees she missed out and went to bed. The next day of school, there's no teachers that discussed any lessons, they only rechecked their exams that they took last week, all students of the school were busy practicing to win for multiple competitions that the school has for students to discover and sharpen their skills and talents, left and right you could hear different musics and people practicing their cheer and yell. Edithe was called by one of the students from the Triumph section, " Mr. Roman said that you'll begin painting the banner downstairs in the canteen and you might wanna hurry up. " Edithe thanked the student and went outside of their classroom, She saw Kira was also outside of their classroom while she held her design, she greeted her with a wave, " Hello, Kira! " She turned her and saw Edithe and waved back, the two then went downstairs and walked to the canteen the fabric was bigger than Edithe expected its height is 52 inches and its width is 30 inches, Kira dvided the banner into three parts for the design, followed by Edithe who drew the lower-right corner, then Jasper who just signed up for the banner also helped with Kira and Edithe, Grayson left the materials there and focused on his practice for a drama. The sketch took an extra time since they modified and removed sone of the design, the building was replaced by a guy who wears futuristic glasses, the few details was replaced, " Excuse me for a moment, I'll have to get the paints. " She excused herself and jogged to their classroom to grab her another bag filled with containers of paint and a variety of paintbrushes that she had not used in a while.

" I got it, " She tries to catch her breath and wiped the sweat on her forehead, she placed her Khaki tote bag on the table and took out every paint and brush that she owned was placed on the table, Mr. Roman stood there in awe with those materials, " Do you paint a lot, Solace? " Mr. Roman asked, " Yeah, I paint a lot, Sir.Roman, ever since the quarantine started, " She spoke back and prepared the brushes and paints to be used. They were very few but; with their skills combined it can be done in the two days, an artist from the section: Might, aided them with some of the details of the banner, everyone was happy with each other, Mr. Roman seemed like a highschool student, he is very well at getting along with his students, he also promised that he would treat them for pizza and soft drinks,if this banner was amazing and finished before the said deadline. The moment they heard what Mr.Roman said, they made sure to do a good paint job even Elias who doesn't paint a lot, he did a great job painting. Macy one of the students from the drama came to the canteen to look at the banner's current progress, " Hello!!! " Macy greeted them and looked at the banner with amazement, " Woah! So pretty! "She stated and after a good five minutes of looking at progress she left. Mr. Roman left since he still has classes to attend to, so, Edithe,Kira,Julia and Elias are left to finish the banner, they took a while to finish the middle part though due to time's speed it was almost dismissal so they had to pack up, they cleaned the paints on the table, cleaned the brushes and placed them back in the khaki tote bag but one of them accidentally knocked out the container of water causing it to spill onto the banner's design luckily Julia quickly placed a dried towel over the spill for the towel to absorb the water and Elias pulled the banner away from the liquid and he used his forest green mini fan to speed up the drying process for them to go home, they were standing all day and almost had a shrimp posture. Minutes felt like hours before the wet area had dried, they carefully took it to Mr. Roman's office so he could see the progress and to stored it there to avoid any sabotage from the other competitors, they went back to the canteen to grab their belongings and said their byes.
