"Zhuqing, do you know him?" Ning Rongrong pointed at the boy and asked Zhu Zhuqing.
"Yes." Zhu Zhuqing slightly nodded, her face flushing red again.
Ning Rongrong glanced at Zong and then at Zhu Zhuqing. She understood everything now. Her best friend's boyfriend was someone she also knew, and he was strong enough to beat Dai Mubai easily. No wonder Zhuqing wasn't interested in Dai Mubai—she wouldn't be either!
In just a moment, Zong had reached them.
"Zhuqing, you left so quickly just now, I forgot to give you something."
Zhu Zhuqing glanced at the members of Shrek Academy. At this point, she had nothing to hide about her relationship with Zong, so she boldly took his hand and smiled, "Let's go over there."
Seeing Zhu Zhuqing holding hands with another man right in front of him, Dai Mubai was furious. It was one thing for her to be friendly with that annoying 'Uchiha Zong' at the Soul Arena, but now she was directly holding Zong's hand.
To Dai Mubai, Zong seemed like the same type of guy as him, judging by how he always had girls around him. He never imagined that after just a few days, Zhuqing would be drawn away.
"Zhu Zhuqing, don't forget your identity."
Zhu Zhuqing glanced coldly at Dai Mubai, "My affairs are none of your business."
"You—" Ever since Zhu Zhuqing joined Shrek Academy, Dai Mubai had been holding back his anger, tolerating her attitude. But now, his pride and anger boiled over, and his usually arrogant self could no longer restrain his fury. "Stop right there!"
Zhu Zhuqing ignored him, and not only did she not stop, but she also quickened her pace, dragging Zong along.
"You—" Dai Mubai suddenly raised his right hand, strong white light flickering in his palm. He wasn't known for having a good temper—quite the opposite, he had a fiery one.
Just as he was about to hit Zhu Zhuqing, Dai Mubai realized that no matter how hard he tried, his fist wouldn't move forward. Zong had grabbed his wrist.
Zong still held Zhu Zhuqing's hand with his left hand, while his right hand clamped onto Dai Mubai's wrist.
Dai Mubai's pupils shrank. Out of anger, he hadn't paid attention to Zong at all, and he never expected the boy to be so strong. His wrist felt like it was being clamped by a pair of pliers, and the pain was unbearable.
"Let go," Dai Mubai roared.
Zong ignored him, exerting a little more force, causing a cracking sound in Dai Mubai's wrist.
The next moment, Dai Mubai screamed in pain, "Ah!"
Zong smiled, "Who gave you the guts to raise a hand against my girlfriend?"
"Let go of Boss Dai!" Ma Hongjun, seeing Dai Mubai in trouble, yelled in alarm. Oscar, too, gathered his courage to stand up. By now, he was sure—this guy was the same 'Uchiha Zong' from the Spirit Arena.
Tang San and Meng Yiran also prepared for battle. Especially Tang San, who felt a surge of excitement. He had been itching for an excuse to deal with this guy, and now Zong had delivered it to him.
"Stop, Zong," Ning Rongrong suddenly spoke up. She had been momentarily distracted and hadn't expected things to escalate this quickly.
Zong looked surprised. He had only met Ning Rongrong once before, and that time, he had caught her ditching class.
Zong asked, "Miss Ning, do you have any advice for me?"
Ning Rongrong, realizing that Zong thought she was siding with Dai Mubai, quickly explained, "Dai Mubai was wrong to attack Zhuqing, and I'll report this to the dean. But he's still a student of Shrek Academy. You might be strong, but if this escalates and our dean Flender finds out, you won't have an easy time. Let's just leave it at that."
She spoke in as gentle a tone as possible.
Zong nodded to himself. It seemed Ning Rongrong was reasonable after all. He turned to Zhuqing, "Zhuqing, what do you think?"
Although Zhu Zhuqing disliked Dai Mubai, she didn't want to cause trouble for Zong later with the academy, so she said, "Rongrong is right. The dean Flender is very protective of his students, and he's a level 78 Soul Sage. I don't want you to get into trouble, so let's just let it go."
Zong nodded, grateful that his "little kitten" cared for him. "In the future, keep your eyes open. It's fine if you like Zhuqing; she's amazing. But attacking her because you can't win her over? That's not what a man does. Get lost."
He then released Dai Mubai's hand and kicked him. Luckily, Ma Hongjun and Oscar caught him; otherwise, Dai Mubai would have face planted.
Zong turned his attention to Tang San and Meng Yiran, surprised to see Tang San with a new girlfriend. He joked, "Oh, it's Little San! And this must be your sister-in-law?"
"S-Sister-in-law?" Meng Yiran's face turned red. While it was true that she was dating Tang San, hearing it said so openly embarrassed her.
Tang San glared at Zong, knowing that a fight was pointless now. He coldly replied, "It's none of your business."
Zong shook his head dramatically, "Ah, so you're still mad about that first spirit ring incident."
With that, Zong and Zhu Zhuqing left, leaving the Shrek group standing there, confused.
Meng Yiran asked, "Little San, do you know him?"
Hearing Meng Yiran's soft voice, Tang San's expression softened, becoming gentle. "I'll explain later."
Meng Yiran nodded, "Okay."
As Zong and Zhu Zhuqing walked away, Dai Mubai laughed bitterly to himself. In that moment, he felt like a clown. Once, he had stolen many fiancées from others, but now, in front of everyone, his own fiancée had been stolen from him. Was this karma?
Suddenly, a thought flashed through Dai Mubai's mind—Uchiha Zong and Zong, could they be the same person?
"Boss Dai, I'm going to the dean's shop later. You coming?" Ma Hongjun suddenly asked, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
Seeing Dai Mubai in his daze, Ma Hongjun guessed that his friend was both humiliated and angry. Deciding to cheer him up, he invited him to have some "fun."
Dai Mubai understood immediately. Initially, he wanted to refuse, but thinking about Zhuqing, his desire for revenge kicked in. "Alright, I'll go."
