CH 18: Ah Li VS Tang San

"So what's going on here?" Ah Li asked nonchalantly as he walked towards Xiao Chenyu in the front of one of the two groups of children. While one of the students from Xiao Chenyu's group was fighting one of the students from Xiao Wu's group, everybody stood back and watched.

"Oh, Boss Li-" Xiao Chenyu started, but immediately shut up when Ah Li glanced at him warningly :"I-I mean, Ah Li! You're back! Nothing, really. It's just that these work students had grown really annoying lately, and that little girl over there picked a fight with us, so the situation is like this. There's nothing to worry about though! As you can see, Wang Sheng is getting obliterated!"

"Hmm, I see..." Ah Li murmured. Honestly, he really didn't like Xiao Chenyu and others bullying the poor children who just wanted to study. He hated bullying in general. 'Oh well, I'll have them stop bullying them after this. Might as well use my status as the boss. If they disagree, I'll just kick their ass and teach them some manners.'

It was plain obvious that Wang Sheng, the previous boss of dorm 7, was at a major disadvantage in the fight. Unlike Beast Martial Souls that only provide slight enhancements to the body if they don't have a Soul Ring attached, Tool Martial Souls, even without any Soul Rings attached, are still weapons. So in the lowest Rank where neither Soul Masters have Soul Rings attached, Tool Martial Souls have a major advantage. And the boy on Xiao Chenyu's side was clearly displaying that advantage.

What amused Ah Li and made his mood better was seeing Tang San on the other side. He came a little later than him, but he still came. However, once the black haired boy took out a few stones from his storage belt when Wang Sheng was about to lose, Ah Li knew that he was about to cheat.

So with a smirk, Ah Li picked up a few stones himself from the group and got prepared :'Hmph, actually cheating in a fight against a child. I seriously wonder how he isn't embarrassed about doing something like this?'

And just when Tang San threw the stones, so did Ah Li. Unlike Tang San who used a special Hidden Weapon Technique of the Tang Sect, Ah Li simply followed his Instincts and struck. And luckily enough, since Tang San didn't use any complex techniques, the red eyed boy's simple throwing skill worked its charm as it hit the stones midair, causing Tang San's eyes to go wide open in surprise.

When he looked at where the stones had come from, he saw Ah Li playing around with a stone in his hand before mouthing something :"Cheating is bad." Causing Tang San's expression to turn gloomy as Wang Sheng finally got beaten up and lost.

"Hmph, is that it, little girl? Wang Sheng was the strongest among all your underlings, with him down, whatcha gonna do now?" Once Wang Sheng lost, Xiao Chenyu ridiculed, causing Xiao Wu to glare at him :"You! Hmph!"

But Tang San whispered something in her ear, causing her to calm down before Tang San walked out of the group :"Fine, I'll be your opponent." And unsurprisingly, Tang San easily beat his opponent. Xiao Chenyu's group was shocked by how easily he beat his opponent, but they were even more shocked once he beat the next opponent with ease as well.

"Next." Tang San said and Xiao Chenyu stepped forward after gritting his teeth :"Xiao Chenyu, sixth grader. Wolf Martial Soul. Lv 11 War Soul Master with one Soul Ring!" And as he released his Martial Soul, with the phantom of a wolf and the changes brought to his body by possessing his Martial Soul, his 10-year white Soul Ring was also released.

"Tang San, first grade work student. Blue Silver Grass Martial Soul." Tang San said seriously. But the moment everybody in Xiao Chenyu's group heard him, aside from Ah Li, they all laughed :"What? Blue Silver Grass?! Hahahaha!" However, Tang San's next sentence shut them all up.

"Lv 11 Tool Soul Master." As they all gasped in shock, while Ah Li secretly smirked in mockery, Xiao Chenyu looked at him in shock :"What did you say just now?" And Tang San answered :"Lv 11 Soul Master with one Soul Ring."

As he finished speaking, he calmly released his Martial Soul and Soul Ring. Once again, the gross and slimy looking Blue Silver Grass that seemed to be secreting a gross substance appeared as a disgusting smell spread around the place. His Soul Ring, which was a fake Soul Ring received from a fake Datura Snake, also circled around his feet with a white light, indicating and revealing its age to be 10-years.

"Eww, what's that smell?!"

"How could this be?!"

"A f-first grader practiced to S-Soul Master Rank?!"

"Boss, defeat him! It's just Blue Silver Grass in the end!"

"Yeah, that's right! Look at it, it doesn't even look like a proper Blue Silver Grass! It must be even weaker than normal Blue Silver Grass with how disgusting it looks!"

"He's right! His Blue Silver Grass looks like it's about to fall apart on its own!"

As the children kept on ridiculing him more and more, Tang San's face grew more and more gloomy. Of course he'd be mad when a bunch of children were being happy at his misfortune. His amazing misfortune at that.

"Hmph, start already." So in the end, he gave a cold snort and beckoned Xiao Chenyu to make a move. With a mocking smirk, the spiky boy snorted as well :"Fine. Since you're in such a hurry to get beaten up, I'll fulfill your wish!" And he attacked.

In the end, it went like in the original. Xiao Chenyu lost in a frontier battle and Tang San used his Soul Skill, Bind, which was the same as the original, but the trash version. Trashy enough that Xiao Chenyu managed to break through it and fight back some more before ultimately losing to Tang San's techniques and experience.

Seeing Xiao Chenyu lose, Xiao Wu immediately smirked :"Huh, that's it in the end! You're all bark and no bite! Alright, since the boss has lost, I'll be the boss of the school from now on!"

The students behind her cheered, but Xiao Chenyu smirked once he stood up :"Our agreement was that you'd be the boss if the boss of the school lost, but I'm not the boss. I lost that title to someone else a while ago."

"What?!" Xiao Wu asked in annoyance. The other students looked at Xiao Chenyu with disbelief as well. After all, he was already a Lv 11 Soul Master with a Soul Ring. So hearing that he has already lost to someone was surprising to them.

"Hmph, fine! Since you're not the boss, then call over the boss already! He'll be beaten up too!" She said haughtily before a snort was heard :"Will he now?" As they looked, they saw Ah Li step forward. As he cracked his neck, he smirked :"Well, lil bitch, since you wanna fight so badly, then get ready to get your ass kicked."

"Boss Li!" Xiao Chenyu called out, but this time, Ah Li didn't stop him. After all, he was basically saying who has beaten him without needing to explain himself. Saying that he was beaten by a 6 year old kid who was only Lv 2 was embarrassing after all. And Ah Li didn't have any reason to embarrass him.

"Huh?! What did you call me, you brat?!" Xiao Wu immediately burst into anger :"How dare you call me that?! I'll beat the hell out of you if you say that again!" But Ah Li didn't care :"Try and see, lil bitch." Causing her to fume in anger when he not only said it again, but even emphasized the curse.

"Huh? He's the new boss?"

"Seriously? Boss Xiao actually lost to a kid?"

"No no, don't judge him by his looks! You saw how strong Boss Xiao was yourself!"

"Yeah, if he can beat Boss Xiao who is already a Soul Master, then he should be strong too!"

"..."

While the children discussed, Ah Li looked at Xiao Chenyu :"Alright, you back off. I'll take care of this." And the spiky boy obeyed with a bow. Once he backed away into the group, Ah Li faced Tang San with nonchalance :"So, we gonna start, or what? Ah Li, first grader. Abyssal Centipede Martial Soul. Lv 2 War Soul Master without a Soul Ring."

"How can this be?!"

"He doesn't even have a Soul Ring?!"

"How did Boss Xiao lose to him?!"

"..."

While their group was shocked, Xiao Wu and her group were more pleasantly surprised :"Huh, that's it? And here I thought that you'd at least be a Soul Master! Guess you're just like that Xiao Chenyu too, all bark and no bite!"

"At least we can bark, yet you're retarded enough to not be able to do that. Anyway, I'm not interested in trash talking with an idiot, so let's get started already." Rolling his eyes, he looked at Tang San :"Hurry up, trash. Or did you become garbage like your master after a few days of being with him. Hmph, guess stupidity is contagious after all."

"You!" Both Tang San and Xiao Wu glared at him. With a cold snort, Tang San summoned his ruined Martial Soul :"Hmph, fine, let's fight. Today, I'll teach you some manners on how to respect older people."

"Hahahaha, manners that your parents taught you?" Ah Li laughed in mockery, causing Tang San to really get angry :"Manners that your oh so caring and loving parents taught you? Then I have to be thankful~."

"You! Rude bastard-" Tang San immediately grew mad at his mockery. After all, not only was he sensitive about his parents, but he felt like Ah Li was throwing a jab at the fact that his father had never taken care of him. But he couldn't continue to be mad. Because Ah Li suddenly appeared in front of him out of nowhere and immediately threw a punch. Shocked by his speed and sensing the danger in his fist, he immediately used his Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track Technique to barely dodge.

"Oh? Haha, you actually dodged." Ah Li chuckled. He wasn't interested in playing around with Tang San or Xiao Wu, he just wanted to beat them up. So instead of holding back, he immediately released his Martial Soul and connected with the Physical Power Orb from the get go.

"Wha?! What just happened?!"

"I don't know, he suddenly appeared in front of that work student!"

"..."

Cracking his fingers, Ah Li smirked evilly :"Well, let's not talk nonsense anymore." As he moved, it looked like he nearly teleported as he began attacking. Not willing or having the luxury to risk it, Tang San immediately grew serious too.

"Shit!" With a low curse, he immediately began to use not only his Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track Technique, but also his Purple Demon Eye to see Ah Li better, and his Mysterious Jade Hand as well to fight back.

However, he was shocked again and again. Not only did Ah Li easily keep up with him, but he actually managed to throw punches so hard that made even his empowered hands ache in pain :'Damn it! What kind of strength is this?! It can get through the Mysterious Jade Hand's defense?!'

Moreover, no matter how he tried to counterattack, Ah Li would dodge without even looking at his punches or kicks. 'Not good, I need to put some distance between us!' With a simple plan made up, he immediately activated his Soul Skill :"1st Soul Skill, Bind!"

The moment he activated his Soul Skill, Blue Silver Grass Vines came out of the ground and tried to grab onto Ah Li. But the red eyed boy wasn't interested in playing around with him at all. The moment they came out and Ah Li's Instincts went off, his claws moved to slice or just break the vines.

Looking at how easily his 1st Soul Skill was solved, and with Ah Li looking like he didn't put up an effort at all, Tang San's heart sank. Gritting his teeth, he continued to struggle :"How can this be...?" And Ah Li smirked :"Cause you're trash, that's how."
