Meeting

Over a little village near Heaven Dou City, there was a little unsuspicious cabin over its suburbs. It was similar to the near houses and being far from the central plaza, it was mostly unnoticed due to the low transit.

Inside the cabin, a hot blonde-haired girl laid over a bed reading a book with a bored expression while a beautiful red-haired girl was staying quiet in a corner hugging her legs.

"Tock!" "Tock!" Listening the noises of the door, the blonde-haired girl's face illuminated. Like lightning, the girl went to the door, quickly opening it and finding a group of three.

"Tian!" She threw herself at the arms of Haotian "You three took too long. I was very bored. Next time, I also want to go."

"Sorry, Xiang. But you are the only one that can easily subdue Yan if necessary" Haotian said looking at Dugu Yan over the corner. Yan didn't much of a threat to Haotian but that didn't mean that her poison was weak. Yan's poison was incredibly potent and if the girls were affected by it, they will quickly get out of combat, changing the kidnappings' roles.

Chenxiang with her higher cultivation and control of the wind was the best option against Yan. Like with Haotian, unless she lowered her guard, there's no way for her to lose against Yan.

That's the reason why Chenxiang stayed in the cabin while the other negotiated with Ning Fengzhi and the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan as bringing Dugu Yan around would be conspicuous and dangerous.

For the cabin, they had used as their temporal hideout after escaping from Heaven Dou Imperial Academy. The cabin was in truth one of the Speed Clan's properties.

The Speed Clan knew very well its weaknesses and strengths so instead of cultivating strength like most clans, they centered on scout and information collection, being one of the best thanks to their speed. For that reason, they traveled all over the continent and had a number of safe houses over the continent to hide or rest if necessary. That cabin was one of them.

"Did she put some resistance?" Haotian asked looking at Yan.

Listening Haotian's voice, life seemed to return to Yan's eyes. Anger flashed for an instant but as Haotian's subjugations passed through her mind, it was quickly replaced by an afraid look, all her body trembling "W-what do you want now?" She quickly cooled her fear returning to her closed self "I did not do anything."

"It seems that you are not truly broken yet, I'm glad." Haotian said smiling "I don't know how would that Poison Bastard react if he saw a broken doll, try to act like normal in front of him. Nevertheless, is good that you stopped resisting futilely."

"Would I see my grandpa?" Color returned to her face as Yan asked with some hope in her voice.

"Yes, in a few days. But don't expect to leave with him. You will continue being under my control until am safe to go against him" Haotian said "In the end, the only one who should be blamed is you for acting against me first without any reason, one reaps what he sows."

Haotian expected some anger and come back from her, but instead, her response was lowering her head and closing again.

"Tch!" Haotian clicked his tongue and turned around, leaving Yan alone "I might have broken her too much." The change that she had experimented in these days was truly enormous, from a proud, arrogant daughter of heavens to enclose to herself completely like Lingling, her emotions becoming more difficult to see each day.

Over the Sunset Forest, just next to the Yin and Yang Ice Fire Well, Haotian descended from the sky, slowly landing in the forest. With his deep purple eyes, he looked around the poisonous formation.

"Old Poison are you there?!" Haotian shouted.

Instantly reacting at his voice, a figure surged from the poisonous formation at incredible speed, stopping just a few meters in front of Haotian.

"Glad that you accepted the meeting, Dugu Bo." Haotian said with a light smile.

"Cut the chase, kid" Dugu Bo stood in front of Haotian with an intimidating and oppressive aura. He had his punch clenched and his eyes were full of fury over Haotian.

"Where's my granddaughter?" He asked sharply glancing at Haotian. If it weren't for Dugu Yan, Dugu Bo would have killed the boy in front of him before he was able to respond to it.

"I'm happy that you don't directly attack me like the last kidnapping" Haotian answered. "It seems that you learned manners" Dugu Bo's anger grew "You know how dangerous this forest can be, how could I bring myself to take her with me to such a dangerous place" Haotian reasoned "But don't need to worry, she is fine."

"I'll need more than your word, to trust you, kid" Dugu Bo said sharply.

"Yes, I suppose that after breaking my promise with you, my words had lost a lot of value" Haotian nodded "But you should understand that you forced me into that situation. I also didn't plan to take Yan as a hostage, it was simply how all developed."

"You!" Dugu Bo said angrily stepped forward.

"Dugu Yan is my shield against you and would lose all the value if I would directly show to you" Haotian said.

'This bastard would keep Yan away from me forever' Dugu Bo thought 'Should I capture him and try to force him to confess? It could put Yan's life in danger.' Dugu Bo was undecided, not really knowing how should he react due to his granddaughter's safety.

"Nevertheless, I promise that I would let you see Yan directly today" Haotian said gaining a dubious look from Dugu Bo "It would be better to trust me as you don't have much of a choice. If something were to happen to me, Yan's life will be at risk." This was the truth, Haotian's girls could be able to feel due to their bond if he was in danger. In that case, the girls could react accordingly.

"So where's Yan?" Dugu Bo asked impatiently.

"First of all, I want to make sure that you followed my letter and didn't try anything strange. I want to see the medical garden and make sure that you didn't do anything to it."

"So you were all this time after my medical garden?" Dugu Bo squinted his eyes. He had already thought of it. His medical garden was an incredible heavenly treasure that everyone would even kill to have a hand in it. It was normal to be thought. "You want full access to the garden in exchange for Yan?" He inquired.

"If that would assure my security, I will gladly do the change" Haotian sighed "The situation is more complicated." Haotian shook his head "Let me take a look over the garden and then I would bring you to Yan."

'What is this kid planning to do?' Dugu Bo thoughtfully analyzed Haotian's movements.

"Okay, hurry inside" Dugu Bo finally accepted. He turned around and walked towards the formation.

Haotian stopped just before entering the formation "Would you be so kind?"

"Had not you crossed it one time?" Dugu Bo said, wanting to learn how Haotian was able to go across his formation.

"That time was special. I will feel safer if I have the antidote of this formation" Haotian answered.

"Take it" Dugu Bo frowned as he threw one pill with the antidote towards Haotian.

"Thanks" Haotian took the pill, but instead of eating it, he invoked his blue flames over his body as he started to cross the formation exactly like last time.

"Gr" Dugu Bo growled a little.

Haotian entered the Yin and Yang Ice Fire Well followed by Dugu Bo and looked around, finding everything exactly the same as before, even the same pull was being felt from the Well.

Haotian nodded at it "Okay, let's return" He turned towards Dugu Bo "Follow me".

Haotian spread his wings and started flying away from the Sunset Forest, closely followed by Dugu Bo whose gaze was nailed in him.

After two hours flying, Haotian finally started descending as he arrived over the cabin where he had spent the last week with his girls.

Haotian signaled Dugu Bo to stop as he approached the cabin.

"Nock!" "Nock!" Haotian knocked on the door and waited for the door to be open.

"Creak!" It wasn't long before, the door started opening. From it, Yan surged "Haotian" She said in low voice with dead eyes.

Haotian stepped aside, letting the granddaughter and grandfather duo meet each other.

"Yan-Yan!" Dugu Bo shouted with emotion and joy, finally being able to see his granddaughter safe.

Yan's eyes fixed over Dugu Bo's "G-granddad" Her eyes wavered, her body trembled and her voice seemed to regain some life from it.

"Paf!" Yan's legs gave up, she falling to the ground "BUAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Tears started to fall from Yan's eyes as she cried loudly.

"H-how could it be?" Haotian turned towards the crying Yan, his eyes wide opened in shock "A bond."
