Iblis's power part 2 ( Still sick )

I have fever and cold so it might take me a few more days to recover so here is the half completed chapter i wrote before I got sick.

The purple-black pillar of light gradually dissolved into particles of light, unveiling a humanoid figure. This figure was clad in a solid black armor, with white, sharp material filling the gaps between the armor pieces. What caught everyone's attention the most were the figure's blazing purple eyes and the ornamental purple-shadow hair that extended from the back of the figure's head.

Standing before them was none other than Iblis, who, with the aid of Nero's fourth rune skill, had taken on a disguised form. " Who..." before Devil soul Great White Shark King could utter a sentence an overwhelming pressure emanated from Iblis, unmistakably signifying his status as a 100,000+ years Soul Beast.

The Devil Soul Great White Shark King and the Deep Sea Devil Whale King wore solemn expressions, for it was evident from Iblis's aura that his combat power far exceeded his cultivation level. 

Iblis's soul power surged, and with a clenched fist, he manipulated the shadow energy that had tainted the ocean. Instantly, it transformed into sharp thorns, each with a deadly sword intent condensed at its tip. Before anyone could react, these spikes pierced through the subordinates of the Devil Soul Great White Shark King and the Deep Sea Devil Whale King, leaving all of them on the verge of death.

Iblis refrained from delivering lethal blows, knowing that killing any of them would likely spark a deadly confrontation.

The Devil Soul Great White Shark King and Deep Sea Devil Whale King were immediately consumed by rage and launched a coordinated attack on Iblis. However, they were not foolish enough to confront Iblis recklessly. Utilizing their spirit energy and self-enhancement abilities, both of these formidable creatures lunged at Iblis with their razor-sharp, sword-like teeth, aiming to engulf and overpower him.

A tremendous wave of air pressure rippled outward as Iblis calmly halted the relentless attacks of the Devil Soul Great White Shark King and  Deep Sea Devil Whale King, using his bare hands. Despite their most ferocious attempts to pierce Iblis's armored hands with their teeth, not even a scratch appeared on the formidable armor.

Nero wasn't taken aback by this display of power. He knew that, in addition to having a Demon bloodline connection, Iblis possessed the Physical-power rune, which elevated his physical strength to a level second only to the Golden Dragon King among those of the same rank.

Realizing their attacks were ineffective against Iblis, the Devil Soul Great White Shark King and the Deep Sea Devil Whale King swiftly raised their scythe-like tails and launched a combined attack aimed at Iblis's head. In response, Iblis had no choice but to release them from his grip to defend against their deadly fin strikes.

Both beasts quickly distanced themselves from Iblis, revealing that their true intent had been to escape from his grasp. Without giving Iblis a moment to react, they unleashed their long-range attacks.

"Devil Shark's Teeth!" The Devil Soul Great White Shark King condensed energy into lines resembling sharp teeth that converged around him, forming layers of attacks aimed at Iblis.

Simultaneously, the Deep Sea Devil Whale King opened its immense mouth and released a vortex-like ray, appearing as though it could devour anything in its path. This destructive force was directed straight toward Iblis.

In contrast to the flashy attacks of both beasts, Iblis simply materialized a greatsword made of condensed shadow energy. With all his might, he swung the sword at the Deep Sea Devil Whale King's devouring attribute attack. Upon seeing this, the Deep Sea Devil Whale King sneered, believing there was no way Iblis could cancel out his devouring attribute attack with a mere sword.

However, the following moment left the Deep Sea Devil Whale King in shock, his mouth wide open. Iblis's single slash tore through the devouring attribute attack as if it were nothing more than a piece of paper, utterly dismantling the powerful assault.

Nero, who observed the ongoing battle, secretly shook his head. This was one of the primary reasons why soul beasts often lost to humans. They frequently believed that humans' only advantage lay in their rapid soul power growth, overlooking the additional assets humans possessed, such as Soul Tools, Battle Armor, artistic comprehension, and more. Even Gu Yuena, a Divine Beast, had truly appreciated these aspects of human abilities only when she herself entered the human world.

Seizing the opportunity created by the Deep Sea Devil Whale King's momentary lapse in concentration, Iblis mobilized his spirit power to envelop the creature in tendrils of shadow energy. In the blink of an eye, Iblis exchanged positions with the Deep Sea Devil Whale King, making him bear the attack of Devil Soul Great White Shark King. 

A pained roar erupted from the Deep Sea Devil Whale King's position as it endured the onslaught of attacks from the Devil Soul Great White Shark King. Disregarding the Deep Sea Devil Whale King's wailing, Iblis swiftly launched a counterattack against the Devil Soul Great White Shark King. The sheer force of their physical clash caused powerful waves to ripple across the sea, leaving a significant impact in their wake.

Within a matter of minutes of their confrontation, it became evident who was at a disadvantage. Numerous wounds had begun to appear on the Devil Soul Great White Shark King's body. Just as Iblis was about to press his advantage and continue his attack, he abruptly raised his left hand, conjuring another longsword. With this new weapon, he blocked the incoming assault from the Deep Sea Devil Whale King, who had just emerged from the smoke created by the Devil Soul Great White Shark King's attack.

Nero, who had been watching the battle with great interest, suddenly shifted his gaze towards the bottom of the sea. He quickly conveyed a message to Iblis through their mental connection. Iblis, receiving Nero's message, immediately ceased playing around and assumed a serious demeanor.

"Abyssal Reckoning," an emotionless and genderless voice emanated from Iblis's mask. The sea began to churn as a colossal swirling vortex of pure shadow energy enveloped both the Deep Sea Devil Whale King and the Devil Soul Great White Shark King. Upon closer inspection, one could discern that inside the vortex, there were numerous slashing movements imbued with devastating sword intent.

As the vortex spun at an increasingly rapid pace, a barrage of slashes and shadow energy relentlessly assailed the Deep Sea Devil Whale King and the Devil Soul Great White Shark King. Both creatures attempted to employ their domains and defensive soul abilities to fend off Iblis's relentless onslaught, but it became clear that their defeat was inevitable as Iblis's shadow attribute was already evolving towards Law of Shadows.
