Tang wulin's dragon claw and Gu yue's elemental spear were caught by Nero's demon wing claws (example image in comments).Everyone in the audience was shocked to see the Demon wings as most people had no idea what it was except the teachers. Nero controlled the demon wing claws and threw Tang wulin and Gu yue toward Xie Xie's direction. Iblis also turned into a black stream and returned to Nero's side.
" Iblis, Get ready but don't show your battle form it isn't the time " Nero ordered Iblis through mental link and activated his demon eyes.' I have to grasp the timing to activate my second spirit ability and defeat them in one full swoop. It has to be fast, although my first spirit ability will restore my physical,mental and demonic-spirit energy but it will be all meaningless if my consumption rate outweighs the restoration rate and then there is also the risk of Tang wulin going berserk or Gu yue showing her hidden power. After a moment of staredown, Nero and Iblis took the initiative to attack. From Nero three illusory shadows separated and attacked Class 5. Two of the shadows with one being clone and other being illusion entangled Tang Wulin and Gu yue while the other clone led Xie Xie towards Iblis. After dispersing the illusion Nero Tang wulin wanted to bring Xie Xie back using Blue silver grass but Nero blocked his way. Gu yue also appeared behind Tang Wulin after solving the clone. Tang Wulin dashed towards Nero and slashed at him with Golden dragon claws as Nero backed off to avoid the claw a big ice lance mixed with wind at the tip appeared behind him if that was not enough Gu yue who teleported above Nero was preparing an elemental ball attack made up of light and fire but Nero didn't panic he first stopped the ice lance in its track by summoning a shield made of mirage blades and flew up towards gu yue using his demon wings. Gu yue detonated the light ball hastily in hope of blinding and distracting Nero to regroup with Tang wulin as she had a bad feeling about the mirage blades.
Nero went through the explosion unaffected as the preparation time wasn't enough to do any damage and the demon eyes allowed Nero to see through the flashbang of the explosion. Tang wulin who couldn't help Gu yue as she was in the air was about to go help Xie Xie when Nero detonated the Mirage blades. " Wulin! " Gu yue and Xie Xie both shouted and got distracted. Iblis and Nero also gained the upper hand using the distraction.
Wu Zhangkong was going to take Wulin away but stopped after sensing that it wasn't fatal. In the meantime the explosion also ended, Tang wulin wasn't seriously injured due to Nero controlling the explosion power but the injuries were enough to affect him in battle as the ice lance also amplified the explosion power. " How dare you hurt him DIE! " the female tyranasarrous went berserk seeing Tang wulin injured and created a concentrated elemental blizzard to attack Nero with all her spirit energy. This was the plan Nero made to finish the game easily, injuring Tang wulin superficially as this will not only ensure that Tang wulin won't go berserk but also make Gu yue lose her reasoning and waste all her spirit power in one single attack.
The blizzard surrounded Nero who instead of brute forcing through used his demon eyes to pinpoint the blizzard's eye. Nero breached blizzard's eye defenses using a long range strike composed of his 60% demonic-spirit energy from Yamato and immediately detonated a dozen mirage blades near it effectively dispersing the blizzard. Gu yue was shocked for a split second to see Nero unscathed from her strongest attack and before she could come back to her senses Nero came behind her and kicked her in the face sending her straight into Tang Wulin's arms.
The teachers and students were dumbfounded as Nero kicked at Gu yue's face without hesitation even Wu Zhangkong's lips were twitching. Nero didn't feel anything as to him Gu yue was a dragon.At the same time Xie Xie also crashed into Tang Wulin and how did that happen you ask.

Xie Xie who was passively defending against Iblis's attacks used his second spirit ability light dragon storm to reverse the situation but Xie Xie passed right through Iblis who activated his innate skill shadow void {works like kamui for explanation of ability visit Iblis chapter}. The moment Xie Xie stopped rotating Iblis kicked Xie Xie in the back sending him crashing into Tang Wulin.

The moment Xie Xie crashed into Tang Wulin Nero activated his second spirit ability Demon Prowler with his remaining spirit energy which engulfed Tang wulin,Gu yue and Xie Xie together. Iblis manifested a shadow hand and sent class 5 off stage. The teachers and even Long hengxu were silent as the confrontation didn't look like a great soul master fight but more like a bunch of Rank 30+ fighting. The whole fight was astonishing whether it was the damage caused to surroundings by Gu yue's elemental blizzard , the golden dragon claw of Tang Wulin which suppressed every dragon spirit master or Xie Xie who held his own against the unique 1000+ years old spirit soul and there were no words to describe Nero who won against the abnormal class 5. The audience erupted in a frenzy of applause every class showed appreciation to both Class 5 and Nero regardless of who won or lost.
Wu Zhangkong also clapped as he didn't feel sad because of class 5 defeat but rather satisfied that they put up a good fight. Tang wulin,Gu yue and Xie Xie also recovered from Nero's second spirit ability and the first thing they saw was everyone clapping and cheering even for them. They were confused as to why everyone would cheer for them when they lost. " They are cheering for you because of your fight even though you lost but your combat power was something that surpassed your ranks " Wu Zhangkong came near them and explained the reason. Wu Zhangkong was about to take class 5 to the infirmary when Nero stopped him. " There is no need to go to the infirmary i injured them i should take care of it" Nero came down from stage and used Demon wings spirit ability to heal all three of them as his spirit energy was already recovered by 20%.
After healing Tang Wulin,Gu yue and Xie Xie Nero was about to go back to the class 1 stand when Xie Xie shouted from behind him in unwillingness " We won't lose next time! ". Nero smirked at that and said without looking back " You are welcome to try anytime".
In class 1 stand Ye ying luo patted Nero on shoulder and stayed silent as she didn't have words to describe his performance. She didn't feel the satisfaction she thought she would as although Nero defeated class V alone but she played no part in it." Thank you for agreeing to my selfish request Miss Ye " hearing Nero's thanks Ye ying luo shook her head and said " You don't have to thank me in fact i should be thanking you as i get to enjoy everyone's praise without even doing anything ". Nero went back to his dorm after Ye ying lo told him to attend tomorrow's reward ceremony. Nero didn't even take a bath and went straight to sleep as he and Iblis were somewhat tired especially Iblis using shadow void with his current cultivation took quite a toll on him.

The next day all the students attended the reward ceremony. First both class 1 and class 5 received the reward for one A-rank meal per day and just like the original timeline class 0 was also created with Nero, Tang wulin, Gu yue,Xie Xie, Zhang Yangzi and Wang jinxi, taught by Wu Zhangkong. Wei Xiaofeng was not accepted as the standards were set way too high and Class zero were also given the contract that said students have to stay at East sea academy until the graduation. Nero signed it as it didn't affect him.
After everything was settled the first class also started with Wu Zhangkong introducing battle armor to everyone. Everyone was fascinated with battle armor except Nero and Gu yue. Nero because Aria already had all the knowledge regarding Battle Armor and Gu yue well what can possibly surprise a divine dragon. You could have used Blue silver grass to help Xie Xie but you stopped using Blue silver Grass altogether the moment it proved ineffective against Nero. Instead of focusing on gathering your teammates you only focused on frontal combat" Wu Zhangkong pointed out Xie Xie and Tang wulin's mistakes and they both listened seriously.
" Gu yue i have said this before and i am saying this again the fact that you lose all your senses when it comes to Tang wulin is fatal to the team. I don't know your relation with him and I don't have any desire to pry in it. Just try to think calmly in those situations." Gu yue only nodded to Wu Zhangkong's advice but Nero could tell that she had no plan of following it.
" Nero you used all your abilities perfectly while adapting to every situation . You stayed calm headed, analysed your opponent and solved the attacks in the most efficient way. You only need combat experience and make your skills your instincts that's all i have to say " Nero nodded and took Wu Zhangkong's advice. " Zhang Yangzi i also saw the recording of your fight with Nero. Wang jinxi did good although he had some shortcomings which can be fixed but you have to work on how to think while in combat. You only listened to Wang jinxi and didn't try to adapt this will become a fatal weakness if one day you fight alone. You have to be ready for every situation " Wu Zhangkong finally advised Wang jinxi and Zhang Yangzi.
Wu Zhangkong decided to teach everyone else except Nero about how basic combat experience is important tomorrow as Xie Xie and Gu yue were still worn out from yesterday's fight. Wu Zhangkong decided to take physical assessments as no one was injured unlike the original timeline.

Next was Wang jinxi whose results showed 18 Wu Zhangkong told Wang jinxi to work on his mental power. Wu Zhangkong wasn't surprised at Tang wulin's and Gu yue's result which were 68 and 153 respectively as he already knew about Wulin's bloodline awakening and controlling elements as precisely as Gu yue required high mental power but it was different for others everyone except Nero stared at Tang wulin and Gu yue like they saw a ghost.
The last one to test was Nero, he himself was curious as the last time he checked his mental power was at the Jade city Spirit Pagoda three years ago . Nero sat on the chair and put on the device, after a few seconds the result came out. Everyone including Wu Zhangkong were dumbfounded and looked at Nero with a look that said 'Are you Human'. Nero also looked towards the screen and the results were 2350 which meant that Nero's mental power was already in the spirit sea realm.
Nero just scratched his hair as he didn't know what to say although he expected his mental power to be high but not this high. Wu Zhangkong was first to recover he didn't say anything to Nero as there were no words to explain this situation. Wu Zhangkong stood up and went to retrieve a better punching machine in case a situation like this appears.
