For the first time in the last ten years,
My heart didn't feel pain,
While remembering her.
It didn't beat faster,
To rekindle the moments,
When we were together.
I guess, the burden is finally set free,
As I spoke what I always wanted to say.
Saying sorry for the misunderstandings,
And harsh memories of that day.
The heart finally healed itself,
As I begun to let go of the things,
I was holding within.
Now, I feel more relaxed and confident,
More than I ever had been.
That chapter is now officially closed,
As I try to find new inspiration.
It may take some time to get the right one,
After all we are a confusing generation.
