Awakening

Nathan woke up the next day tired from all his thoughts. He was always taught to not expect the best and after seeing the rates of getting a C+ ranked talent or higher was lower than 10% he got really worried.

He quickly did his morning routine and eventually left the apartment. They continued driving to a branch of the World Association located in their city.

15 minutes passed by and they eventually made it. Nathan's mother walked in first and requested an awakening test for Nathan. A few minutes went by until she returned and told Nathan he had to wait for 3 hours.

"3 hours?!" Nathan exclaimed irritated by the waiting time.

"I just hope I get something good," Nathan said and went to sit down on a nearby chair.

A few hours passed and their number was eventually displayed on the large TV situated in the center of the building above the cashiers.

Angelica signaled for Nathan to follow her after she stood up and walked with the guide that was sent to them.

Nathan continued walking through the seemingly huge building from the inside until they stopped in front of a thick ominous metal door.

The guide used his mana to open the door and told Nathan to enter the room alone.

"You've got this Nathan!" She said trying to encourage her son.

Nathan entered the room and observed his surroundings. He saw a small metal orb in the middle of the room. The room was covered by some type of metal and mana crystals could be seen placed in the empty spaces on the walls.

A few seconds went by until a robotic voice was heard in the room.

"Applicant Nathan Clarke please brace for the mana waves.." The robotic voice announced.

A/N: Clarke is Nathan's new last name after he was reincarnated.

Nathan did not know what was going to happen but he braced his core and tensed his muscles whilst also sitting down on the floor.

People are awakened by having mana waves forcefully inserted into the body. If a person did not have mana already in their body they would not awaken and simply pass out. If the person did have some mana inside their body they would feel excruciating pain like needles stinging every molecule of the body. The world and technology clearly rapidly changed in the few years Nathan was in a coma.

However, Nathan did not know this and was in for a tough ride...

He felt nothing for a few seconds until the pain started to accumulate slowly but surely. Every increasing second Nathan's body hurt more and he was close to passing out numerous times but didn't with his mentality. If this was the pain he needed to receive for strength he would gladly do it.

10 minutes went by and the mana waves stopped circulating throughout the room.

"Haa..haha.haaa" Nathan started laughing while gasping for air in happiness.

"Congratulations for successfully awakening Mr. Nathan Clarke" the robotic voice congratulated him for awakening.

"Nathan Clarke's Info:

Talent: Boosted Weapon Efficiency A+ Increased Intelligence C+

Special: Blessed By Mana

The robotic voice announced his stats and it was a big surprise for Nathan. Usually, a normal person would get 1-2 elemental attributes however he received 3 which is what most talented have. However, that was not the end as he had S-rank affinities in two of them.

"Holy shit.." Nathan said out loud. He had absolutely no words at all. He simply stood there and stared at the floor in a daze.

He completely forgot about his talents and the special that he also received.

After a minute or two the door opened and the guide entered to make sure Nathan was not injured and nothing happened.

"Congratulations Mr. Clarke it seems you are a S rank prospect now." He said and addressed Nathan with respect.

"Those are some good attributes, wind and darkness. Hahaha." He continued complimenting him.

"Did he not hear that it said poison?" Nathan wondered and looked at his mother.

However the one that was the most shocked was obviously Angelica. There are a few thousand S ranks out there in the world however it was very rare so she was very shocked.

"I knew my baby would be talented!" She shouted and ran to hug Nathan. Nothing could express her happiness at the moment.

"Mr. Clarke could you please come with me and sign a few papers.." The guide asked however was soon interrupted.

Angelica knew that they would store his information in the World Association database and bother him with recruitment letters.

"Haha! Sorry but me and my son must return home now." She said almost sounding like an order.

Angelica was not so weak as she was a B+ ranked awakend and knew a lot about the World Association and various other organizations.

"As you wish Madam." He replied with respect hoping to connect to the family.

Eventually they left the building and Nathan was in for a surprise..
