That's right, their target this time was the tomb of one of the Old Man's descendants. Most people don't have the effect of Samuels system, when they can't break through they will die.
Some powerful people construct tombs for their more treasured children. Or the dead person themselves construct the tomb before they prepare to die.
This tomb was produced by the Old man for a Rank 3 Child of his. Although they are only Rank 3 their wealth far surpassed an ordinary Rank 3 Warrior.
But the old man didn't tell Leslie about it until she finally promoted her First Rank 2 Warrior. She bought a Glucus mushroom from Situ and managed to forcibly promote one of her warriors.
This is because the old man knows the guards at the tomb.
There is one Rank 2 Guard Captain and a thousand Rank 1 Guards. All of which are puppets.
Although this isn't the biggest defence, of course they can't spend all of the old man's wealth on constructing a tomb! The Guard Captain and the Guards were paid for by his dead son's wealth.
Soon they arrived at the tomb. Well at least the old man said it was a tomb.
What appeared in front of Leslie was a small mound of dirt with a small wooden door at the entrance. More like the Hobbits house from Lord of the Rings than a tomb.
''Old man you buried your son here?''
''Haha of course I did. But this is just a cover up. I don't want any random person walking over and finding my Sons Tomb.''
With that said, the Old man took the initiative to float forward. Then under his breath he chanted a small sentence.
Suddenly in front of Leslie the wooden door fell forward and the mound of dirt crumbled. Revealing an upright and exquisite mausoleum with a set of stone steps leading downwards.
But before they entered, a rhythmic step of footprints rang out.
Suddenly out of the steps figures began constantly pouring out. They were inquisitive carved wooden puppets with human-like features. Each dressed in a shining steel set of armour.
However when Leslie saw it she slightly smirked before taunting the old man.
''Really? Wooden puppets? That's the best you can do?''
Faced with the mocking words of Leslie the old man coughed slightly before sighing.
It really was quite cheap. After all, even A5 can produce some basic Low Rank 1 Wooden Puppets now.
But wooden puppets are the most common and the notorious weakest puppets that are produced. For that reason they are cheap and often used for less important things.
After all, unless a very special wood is used, the metal, iron or even bone puppets are more powerful than Wooden Puppets!
And clearly these Wooden Puppets weren't a special wood. Only the quality of the carvings were excellent. At least compared to the clunky and difficult to move puppets that A5 produces they are more than one step above.
''Prepare to fight!''
Leslie used to be naive, but she has long since been baptised by the feelings of war.
She recently had a baby for Samuel, and now with the news of the competition of an heir she is determined to compete for a position.
Or at least prepare to provide a foothold for her son in the future when he challenges the current heir.
She has confidence in her son. He was born with a Three Inch Spiritual Root, and her own master, the old man in the ring, said his Physique was quite impressive.
Although not a Son of Luck or even a Villain, he would definitely be a small genius.
She feels that with her backing he has the chance to compete for the Heir Position.
So to prepare she asked the Old man about any opportunities he could provide her. And this tomb is one of them. Apparently it is the only one within her reach right now.
As soon as other words fell, the warriors behind her flew out. Regardless of them outnumbering the guards, they couldn't win very easily.
Regardless of the quality of the puppets, they are still purchased with the networth of a Rank 3 Warrior.
None of them are lower than Middle Rank 1 with many High Rank 1 Guards.
In comparison, a majority of Leslies warriors are Low Rank 1. So the battle was tough.
Leslies warriors split into groups of three before finding their opponents. Luckily three Low Rank 1 Warriors could still face off against a Middle Rank 1 Puppet.
Their low intelligence allows for an advantage by the warriors.
At the same time, at the head of the forces two figures flew out and matched each other in combat.
One was a wooden puppet carved in the figure of a young man. But this one had a slight charm to it. It was the Guard Captain.
Opposite it was a middle aged man dressed in a suit of blue armour. This was Leslies only Low Rank 2 Dog of War.
Originally he was stuck at the level of High Rank 1, but Leslie traded a lot of her saved up Crystals with Situ for the Glucus Mushroom to help it break through.
Leslies soldiers had a clear advantage. He dodged nimbly, every strike aiming at the joints unprotected by the puppets heavy armour.
Occasionally he would dodge backwards and his foot would kick up a stone. With the strength of a Low Rank 2 Warrior it would fly faster than a bullet smacking into the armour of the puppet.
In fact, the puppet would be incredibly easy to beat for a normal Rank 2 Warrior. Unfortunately this Dog of War was forcibly promoted. In the long run he can regain strength equivalent to a normal Low Rank 2 Warrior.
But for the first section of his promotion he is weaker than a naturally promoted Rank 2 Warrior.
So the battle was tough.
Leslie is relatively untalented. She is only a Middle Rank 1 Warrior, so instead she stayed back watching her warriors fight.
Meanwhile the old man beside her began to reminisce. But then he looked at the girl he was bound to and sighed.
A bit of greed filled his eyes when he looked at the warriors parading around in front of him.
