Two people immediately arranged to meet at a small tavern in town.

William Cole and Ruth Dawn arrived at the tavern almost one after another. The town itself was sparsely populated, so the tavern was buzzing with activity.

As soon as they entered the tavern, they were hit with the stench of sweat, as well as the smell of slop water and vomit.

There was also a pool of blood on the ground, and two waiters were cleaning the floor.

The moment William and Ruth, two unfamiliar faces, walked in, they immediately drew everyone's attention.

"Give us a private room."

Ruth frowned, feeling that the hall was not suitable for talking.

"Hahahaha!"

She spoke in English, which everyone understood, and it immediately sparked a round of laughter.

A bartender approached and shook his head gently, "I'm sorry, miss, we don't have private rooms in our tavern. If you'd like a drink, you'll have to stay in the main hall."
