32. Rising Evil and Falling Stocks

Suddenly, I heard a rustling of leaves behind me.

I hurriedly dive for cover behind a nearby pillar that covers me completely from whatever is going or coming.

The rustling sound gets closer and I turn to see who or what it is.

At first, I don't see who it is quite clearly but then I look closer and see a man in a green shirt. A green just the shade of the leaves.

Probably a coincidence.

He is of a big build and wide shoulders. He has hard hands obviously and he looks almost muscular. It won't be a good idea to run into someone like him when I'm the trespasser in this situation.

He walks a bit farther and then rounds the corner where I came from.

From the bit of news I just heard, there is a possibility that the boss, Miss Rose, could have killed Carol.
