The family all headed down to the training room where Raziel and Usiel set up a giant mirror. Raziel stepped over to Mihael and Arden and began explaining.
There are many ways to scry but some of the easiest ways is using a mirror or a bowl of water. That way what you are searching for will appear on the surface. Now you need to draw runes for the spell around the mirror on the ground and also in a circle on the mirror itself. Runes are like the written and spoken language of magic. Raziel said in his teaching voice.
You two don't have to do this if you don't want to Usiel said sounding worried.
It's okay mom I want to help in whatever way I can Mihael replied. Those horrible people need to be eliminated.
I agree Aeden said. Although Mihael not all cults or religions are evil. You have just had bad experiences with them.
With a deep sigh Mihael replied. Yeah I know Aeden. I know these feelings are irrational but I feel a deep rage when I think of cults.
As Mihael said this his eyes flickered between their normal heterochromatic colors and pure black.
Aeden grabbed his hand and helped him calm down before they cast the scrying spell.
Breathe Mihael. Aeden said while helping Mihael. You won't be able to help anyone much if you let your emotions control you.
Mihael just nodded before closing his eyes and breathing deeply for a minute before he opened his eyes and was back to normal.
Alright I am good now. Let us cast the spell to find who is leading the pack of rats Mihael said with a frown.
Alright here is the spell that you will need to write on the mirror Raziel said passing them a piece of paper with runes in a circle. Prepare yourselves because here is the hard part. You need to write it in your blood. It is the only way the spell will work. You can still back out if you want to.
No worries it is just some blood Aeden said.
Yeah it isn't too bad Mihael said.
Raziel handed Mihael and Aeden a bowl, a dagger and a couple paint brushes.
Aeden and Mihael decided to just use their magic to cut themselves. They focused their mana into the tip of their finger and made a small point of mana form out of their finger. They cut a small slice on their hand and let their golden tinged blood drop into the bowl mixing together. Both Aeden and Mihael could feel the immense mana contained in their blood. After staring at the bowl of blood with a swirl of golden energy lost in a trance they realized it was close to full. They quickly used their mana to close up the cut.
They then began drawing the runes on the mirror. There were about 500 individual runes that they had to draw in their blood. The size of each rune was about the size of a quarter. They had to spend a long time making sure every single rune was drawn correctly.
After about 2 hours they had finally finished drawing all of the tiny runes that were needed for the spell. After a short break they then began the spell.
Both Aeden and Mihael took a side of the mirror each and began to infuse mana into the mirror. They poured almost every single drop of mana that they had in their body nearly dropping to the ground from the exhaustion. Their vision was blurry from the excessive mana usage but they managed to hold on. Looking at the mirror they all waited as the mirror began rippling like a silver pond of water.
The mirror slowly began showing a man sitting at a desk doing paperwork as a man in armor came in.
Lord Hassal we haven't been able to find who has been killing your subjects. The man said while standing at the entrance of the room.
Lord Hassal slammed his fist on the table as he yelled at the man. They must have left some traces! We need to stop them before they ruin all of our plans! Go Vidar and don't return without good news!
Yes Lord Hassal the man said before leaving.
Lord Hassal then stood up and went to the bookshelf where he pressed a button causing the bookshelf to slide open. Lord Hassal then disappeared into the secret passage way before the image on the mirror cut out.
Everyone looked on in confusion except for Mihael who was furious. His body began exuding a black aura causing the ground around him to began corroding into dust before he blacked out.
