A VEILED GIRL

"How is this possible!?" The tanned boy exclaimed with a pale expression as he looked at Pearce with fear. Not only him, but even the other new recruits were currently looking at Pearce with shocked expression on his face.

'i never knew he was this strong' Robert thought as he looked at Pearce with the same expression the other new recruit has on their faces.

"Now do you still think am unfit to be the leader?" Pearce said as he looked at the tanned boy coldly.

"No! I don't dare!" The tanned boy hurriedly said as he quickly ran back to where the other new recruits were and stood with them.

"Good. Venerable, you may please continue" Pearce coldy answered before he respectfully spoke to Venerable Wayne.

'What a good third generation brat!' Venerable Wayne thought as his eyes brightened up. But it quickly came back to normal as he indifferently said.

"Okay. In this group, you will be the leader while Robert Hummingbird will be the sub leader"

"Yes Venerable"

"Yes Venerable!!"

Although Pearce wasn't particularly moved by becoming the leader, that didn't applied to Robert who hastily exclaimed with an excited expression on his face.

"You all may go back to your seats for now" Venerable Wayne calmly said before he turned his gaze back to the soldiers who were seated.

"Yes Venerable!" Echoed the 7 new recruits and Pearce as they suddenly dashed towards their various seats.

"I never knew you were a mini Powerhouse Pearce" Robert said after he got seated together with Pearce. When these two got seated, the surrounding soldiers secretly glanced at them with dread in their eyes.

Although most of the soldiers there are 2nd years and even third years. Only a few of them have gotten to the Spirit Fusion Rank!

"What do you mean by a mini Powerhouse?" Pearce asked with a confused expression on his face.

"What I meant is although you are shockingly young to be our leader. You actually have a strength that is almost on par with mine" Robert said as a sigh escaped his mouth. Only him knew what was currently in his mind.

'Seriously?' Pearce thought as he secretly rolled his eyes at him.

"Now that the first group has been formed, I will begin the creation of the groups" Venerable Wayne said calmly before he began to form groups from the soldier that were seated.

After 30 minutes has gone by from when Venerable Wayne started to form groups, 7 people were currently in the podium with Venerable Wayne.

'These group is kind of peculiar' Pearce thought as he looked at the 7 people that were with Venerable Wayne strangely.

Why Pearce thought that way was because these 7 people were actually all girls!!

"This is new" Robert said as he also looked at the 7 girls on the podium strangely.

"The leader of this group will be the transferred soldier called Herald Diana" Venerable Wayne calmly said as he turned his gaze towards the far left corner.

'Another transfer soldier' Pearce thought with a surprised expression on his face. But before he could come back to his senses, someone suddenly appeared on the podium.

'So fast!!'

This was currently on the mind of all the soldiers that was both seated and was standing behind Venerable Wayne.

'1st stage Spirit Fusion Rank' Pearce thought with a shocked expression on his face.

The person that just appeared has a bright red hair which she tied to make a ponytail. Although she has a red veil on her face, only her bright red eyes and how her eye brows and eye lashes were could tell anyone that she was a drop dead gorgeous girl.

"You will be the leader while Steven Alexa will be the sub leader" Venerable Wayne casually said as he glanced at both the veiled girl and a slight tall girl that has a short green hair.

"Yes Venerable!!" Alexa exclaimed with an excited expression on her face.

"Ok. You can now go back to your seats for now"Venerable Wayne said before he turned his gaze back to the soldiers who were seated to resume the forming of groups.

"Excuse me Venerable" Suddenly, Diana spoke with a nice and a pleasant voice that was full of respect.

"What is it?" Venerable Wayne suddenly said with a calm look on his face.

"Is it ok if I can spar with someone here?" Diana asked with anticipation in the depths of her eyes.

"And who do you want to spar?" Venerable Wayne asked with curiosity in the depth of his eyes.

When Diana heard that question, her gaze suddenly shifted towards the soldiers that were seated as it landed on a 13 year old boy that was quite dashing with long green hair.

'Why is she staring at me?' Pearce thought as a bad premonition began to rise in him. But before he could come back to his senses, he immediately saw the veiled girl pointing at him.

'Well, I should have seen this coming' Pearce thought as he stared at Venerable Wayne who began to speak…

"Kyler Pearce! Are you willing to spar with Herald Diana!?"

As soon as Venerable Wayne asked this question, an uproar suddenly erupt amongst the soldiers who were seated.

"Wait… What!?"

"This girl actually wants to have a spar with that monster"

"But do you know who this girl is?"

"How will i know? Didn't you hear earlier that she is a transferred soldier?"

"That's true!"

While all the soldiers were busy discussing animatedly amongst themselves, the veiled girl was looking at the 13 year old boy with thick battle intent in her eyes as she thought…

'Come on! Agree!'

But unfortunately, it didn't work out for her as Pearce unhurriedly said.

"No!"

'What!?' Diana thought as she knitted her brows. Not only her but even Venerable Wayne got his brows knitted a little as he asked again. While he was asking, the soldiers that were seated finally calmed down…

"And why don't you?"

"Because I don't bully girls!" Pearce said with calm expression on his face.

Silence…

As soon as Pearce said those words, the hall suddenly became deadly silent to the extent that even if a single needle were to fall down to the floor, everyone in the hall will hear the sound.

But not long after, an uproar that is even more louder than the previous one erupted from the soldiers that were seated and the soldiers that wete standing behind Venerable Wayne

"My God! What an arrogant boy!"

"I haven't seen someone that has this much arrogance in my life!"

"But actually he has the strength to say that right?"

"Bullsh*t! Didn't you see how fast she came down to the podium from where she seated?"

"That's true! I can speculate with my keen sense that she is most likely on par with him"

'What's wrong with everyone? Did I say something wrong?' Pearce thought with a confused expression on his face.

«I think they might have misunderstood you» Pearce's replica suddenly said with a light smile on his face while he light shook his ethereal head.

"I never knew you were this arrogant Pearce" Robert suddenly said with a knowing smile on his face. When Pearce saw the expression on his face, he only rolled his eyes at him as he thought.

'Go to hell'

"Silence!!" Suddenly, Venerable Wayne spoke loudly with the help of his gold yellow colored qi as his voice suppressed everyone in the hall.

After everyone quieted down, he calmly placed his gaze on Diana who was glaring at Pearce as he calmly said.

"Since he doesn't agree to your spar, you may go back to your seat"

"Yes Venerable" Diana said before she flew off towards where she was seated. But while she was going towards where she was seated, she thought resolutely in her mind.
