FINDING THE TRUTH [pt1]

"you did well kid, but little strength like that isn't going to save you from me" the leader of the assassins said.

[Quick sand]

The man shouted, immediately chase felt like he was sinking, he tried to move but it was of no use.

Chase was slowly sinking, giving the leader an opening to attack

[Conceal]

Chase was then sealed in the mud like he had been glued there.

The leader of the assassins plunged forward towards chase, he brought out a sword out of nowhere and slashed at chase.

Seeing this chase raised his wings up for protection

*SCHING*

the sound of metals clashing could be heard. Chase was now in a close range with the leader, he grabbed him by the hand and threw him towards the door.

Taking the time to fix his posture, chase flapped his wings hard that he broke through the hardened mud, flying into the air.

[Poison touch]

The leader's toad stretched it's tongue towards chase, seeing that he wouldn't have enough time to dodge the attack, chase brought up his wings again protecting him from the poisonous tongue of the toad.

He then sank his claws into the toad's tongue, he flew higher dragging the toad with him, the leader tried to retaliate but couldn't fly so he threw balls that were made out of mud towards chase.

Chase dragged the toad closer to him and used it as a body shield, the mud collided with the toad's body leaving it injured, chase held the giant toad with his right hand.

He then threw the toad towards it's master, seeing the incoming attack the leader jumped to the side avoiding the large body of the toad, but he still couldn't escape the pains.

*ARGHHH*

he screamed out as he felt the pains of the toad as both their souls were interlocked, chase dived in as he saw the opening, he stretched his claws forward ready to tear the leader of the assassins into tiny pieces, the leader saw him and stepped to the side allowing chase to miss by an inch

[Shadow Dagger has been activated]

Chase activated his dagger again slashing towards the leader's neck.

*SPLURT*

The warm blood of the leader encased Chase's face as the leader fell to the floor.

Chase just stood there looking at his lifeless body

[Eagle's instinct has been deactivated]

After the sudden message from the screen chase fell to the floor as his eyes went blank again.

The school management had arrived at the scene with some healers and guards

"Check if there's any life left" a petite woman with long black hair swaying gently commanded.

"Miss woods, it seems that the assassins that attack killed everyone, there's no sign of life around" a man wearing black suit said

*TSK*

she clicked her tongue, "have you checked thoroughly" she asked.

"Yes, we've checked their pulse and heartbeat.... Everyone's dead"

"and what about the assassins" she asked again.

"They too are dead, it seems like someone or something had taken their life".

"Miss woods, we've found some signs of life, some are in a very critical condition" another man wearing a lab coat appeared to the scene

"Give me the details" miss woods said

"We've found four people, one's missing his arm and other is barely breathing, the remaining two are just unconscious" the man said

"Can you identify them".

"They're all students of starfield. We've identified one as Natalia swiss belonging to the peacock clan and another as Jake grey, the heir to the to the grey wolf family" he said.

"Damn why do they have to be caught up in all this.... Take the four of them to the healing room ASAP"

"We're on it" he replied.

"Miss woods, we've found several life force behind the counter" another man said running towards miss woods.

"What... Take them to the healing room immediately" she commanded.

"Miss woods... I'll like to speak with you briefly" she heard a voice from behind her.

She turned only to be met by a familiar face.

"P-principal Zain..."she stuttered.

It was the principal of the school, he was putting on a black suit and tie, long grey hair, he had wrinkles all over his face.

"I'll like to talk to you privately" he said with no smile on his face.

"Y-yes, let's go outside" miss woods said leading him outside.

Outside the club, two people a man could be seen talking to a woman.

"You do know the outcome of what had happened" Zain said.

"..."

"The attack had not only affected the school, but it had affected also affected the prime nobles of king" he said.

"We're working on it, we're taking everyone that has a sign of life to the..." Miss woods was interrupted.

"I don't care if everyone else die, but make sure those two survive, take all the high ranking healers to treat them!". Principal Zain said in an angry tone releasing his pressure.

"O-ok sir, i-i'll give the orders" she said trying to catch her breath due to the pressure of the principal.

"And also make sure that what ever happened today never gets to the public" Zain said walking away

*TSK*

miss woods clicked her tongue.

"Gary" she called out.

A bald man wearing a black suit came running.

"Yes miss woods" Gary said

"Take both the heir of the grey wolf family and the girl from the peacock clan to the VIP section, order all special healers with a high rank to attend to them" she commanded.

"...but miss woods, we have many victims waiting to be attended to, why take all the high ranking healers for only two people" Gary complained.

"Just do what I told you to do!" miss woods said angrily.

"O-ok, I'm on it".

"What's so special about those prime nobles" miss woods mumbled while leaving the scene.

Chase could be seen in a white room, he was currently lying on a white bed.

[Chase pov]

"What the fuck happened".

I was trying to remember how I got here.

I stood up from the bed wondering how I ended up in the hospital.
