Right Wing Commander

The four subordinates of Caspian Hond immediately scattered, targeting the grandmasters of the Tower of the Gods Academy. In just one move, two people were already dead because they couldn't avoid the onslaught of the right-wing commander's guards of the Flame Star Demon sect. Moments later, they had managed to kill at least eight students of the Tower of the Gods Academy.

"Everyone, unite, don't scatter!" shouted Master Frostfire, reminding the students.

The students and masters who were previously scattered immediately darted towards the senior Masters. Eventually, they all gathered in one place within the Tower of the Gods. Only Master Lin remained separate from the group as he was still attending to the unconscious Julius, trying to wake her up. Luckily, at that moment, the four opponents and the right-wing commander of the Flame Star Demon sect didn't notice their presence behind them.

"Attack them!" ordered Caspian Hond.

Once again, the personal guards of the right-wing commander of the Flame Star Demon sect attempted to attack the Masters and students of the Tower of the Gods Academy who were now gathered in one place. They planned to eliminate them with a single deadly strike using their techniques. The four of them raised their Black Devil Swords intending to make a fatal slash against the targets standing right in front of them.

"Combined Shield Technique!"

Master Frostfire ordered to construct a combined shield to block the enemy's attack. There was no way for them to fight against the attackers who were cultivators at the second level of the semi-god realm. The only way for those below the opponent's cultivation level was to block their attack with a combined technique, building a ninth-level seal shield.

Simultaneously, the students and Masters inscribed a seal as instructed by Master Frostfire. Instantly, a shield appeared in front of them, protecting them from the enemy's attack. Just as the right-wing commander of the Flame Star Demon sect was about to use the light sword in his hand to destroy the shield protecting the members of the Tower of the Gods Academy, suddenly, the voice of Master Lin shouting quietly to awaken Julius was heard. Immediately, Caspian Hond turned back to see what was happening. How delighted he was to see that behind him, there were still members of the Academy who hadn't entered the protective shield.

"Hahaha... It seems the Heavens want me to have some fun before finishing you off!"

Caspian Hond was ecstatic to know that there were still members of the Tower of the Gods Academy outside the activated shield. Especially after he learned that it was Lin's plan to distract the enemies, allowing the others to escape while the enemies focused their attention on him.

"Children, kill those two, but torture them first so their cowardly friends hiding behind that shield can watch their friends die slowly," ordered Caspian Hond to his subordinates.

The order given by Caspian Hond to his subordinates was clearly heard by those behind the activated shield. Of course, they were worried about the condition of Master Lin and Julius who were still outside the shield. Those inside didn't worry about their own situation as the shield became stronger due to the energy channeling from the Tower of the Gods located right behind it.

Master Lin Duano himself wasn't worried about himself. In fact, he deliberately shouted Julius's name to attract the attention of the demons. His goal was to divert the enemy's attention towards him. This way, the demons could postpone destroying the shield and instead attack him for the time being. By buying a little time, he hoped those behind the shield could find a way to leave the place.

Master Lin himself resigned to his fate and closed his eyes, though his heart still hoped for a miracle. He felt it was futile to resist. He remained silent, hoping that the threat looming near Julius would awaken the young man's consciousness.

"Bukkk!"

A muffled scream was heard, followed by the body being cut into three pieces and falling to the ground. The body only had time to scream when the sword struck the waist. When the sword struck the neck, the person died instantly. The three parts of the body turned black and rotted, emitting a stench of decay due to the strike of the Dark Devil Sword.

But it wasn't Master Lin Duano's body that was cut by the Dark Devil Sword; it was one of the Right-Wing Commander of the Flame Star Demon sect's subordinates who suffered it. Right in front of Master Lin, Julius stood upright, holding the Dark Devil Sword in his right hand. The young man's body emitted a bright white light characteristic of the light element, very similar to the radiance of the sword power possessed by Caspian Hond, the Right-Wing Commander of the Flame Star Demon sect.
