Chapter 22: The second test(1)

the point which the multicolored lights previously disappeared suddenly exploded with power, the nearby qi was whipped up into a storm as everything the light touched was vaporized.

at that point, Alyssa's father knew that he screwed up, he didn't know what was going on, but he knew he would die. He had to try to escape

Whilst the seemingly powerful mini 'supernova' seems to be able to destroy anything it touches, it moved awful slow.

it exploded with a burst of speed rushing to the five meters away from its epicenter, but then it slowed down to a speed of like half a meter per second.

once Alyssa's father saw how slow the explosion was progressing, he quickly regained mental stability.

If he was going to escape, he needed to be able to think rationally. The some around him was extremely sturdy and didn't seem to have any weaknesses.

He couldn't dig out as then dome encompassed him fully, what was he supposed to do then.

Everything has a weakness, that's what the Upper Wang clan had told him. He searched around as quick as he could, punching everything that could be a 'weakness' as he realised that he probably would die no matter what he did.

Many Mark was still alive, maybe if he begged for his life. The storm of energy was edging closer and closer to him, now, it was only 5 meters away, and it was closing quick, he had ten seconds.

" Please, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you, please, I'm a changed man, no No NONO NO!"

*pfhwoom* Alyssa's father's body was gone, eroded out of existence.

Then, when the energies hit the wall, the receded backwards before fading out of existence.

The ground shook as the dome, having done its job, started to break down revealing a wasteland of fire, dead bodies and broken buildings.

Richie was safe, for now, Stupidly, the Upper Wang clan didn't actually think that Alyssa's father would fail at kidnapping Richie, therefore only Alyssa's father was told to capture Richie, now that he was dead, Richie was just an unimportant kid who, in the grand scheme of things, didn't matter.

It was baffling how the Wang clan was so stupid as to not have a plan b or tell anyone else about Richie's importance to the Wang clan.

A few days later, Richie was found by some members of the wang clan who were scouring the forest for survivors, thinking that Richie would pose no threat on the future, they crippled his cultivation, brought him to the Wang clan where he was promptly thrown into whorwhind Valley, to survive on his own, where he should have died.

But what actually happened with Mark and that dome, well, it was actually a happy little technique that Mark learnt from a... different place, and in that place, it was useless, but here, it was a powerful secret art which could basically kill anyone who was at max, 7 realms higher than the user, which is completely op, but to use it, your mortal body must be sacrificed, not your soul, just your body.

Therefore that meant that Mark's soul was still alive, doing somthing...

After cultivating throughout the night, Richie reached the 5th sub stage and still managed to get 3 hours of sleep, which was equivalent to getting 9 hours of sleep as a mortal.

Even though Richie hadn't managed to reach the Sixth sub stage, he wasn't worried, he still had like 10 hours until the time limit for his task expires.

Today was the day of the second test, to be honest, Richie wasn't too happy about having to return to the whirlwind Valley, he had some pretty bad memories of the place, but if going there would help him join the Alchemy guild and gain a powerful backing, he would go without hesitation.

Looking down at his body, he realised that it was covered in sweat, " God cultivation is exhausting" Richie said to himself.

Whilst cultivating the yin-yang cultivation technique was extremely beneficial to his foundation and cultivation, by god was it exhausting.

When Richie used to cultivate his Hong clan cultivation technique, there was no pain at all and it was extremely relaxing, he could even fall asleep whilst cultivating.

But with the yin-yang cultivation technique, that would never happen, try falling asleep when your entire body is bursting outwards, close to exploding. That would never happen.

In fact, Richie's record of most time spent cultivating in a row was only 42 minutes.

This was astonishingly low as cultivating usually can put you in a trance for over a day.

Richie was now about halfway to breaking through to the 6th sub stage of the first realm. This speed was monstrous and could definitely put the 'blessed geniuses' to shame

After taking a relaxing shower and putting on clean clothes, he realised that not only did he need an actual house, but he also needed to wash his clothes, he had so many dirty clothes lying around his room that it started making everything in the room smell.

That didn't matter yet, he could always just buy a cheap house, new clothes and also a much needed washing machine for around about 9,000 gold coins( Richie currently has around 10,000 gold coins to his name, 1000 gold coins is enough for him to survive whilst living in luxury for years)

" Aaah, the fresh air of the city, so refreshing" Richie exclaimed

- You know, the air in this city is actually about 5% less pure than the outs-
