INTERLUDE – JOHNNY'S TEST DRIVE

Meanwhile, back on Earth at banger blitz raceway…

"Johnny are your there?" Called out Jimmy. Johnny's crew chief was working furiously with D.R.I.F.T., Banzai Bangers and other technicians. They all were working hard to fix the connection to the test world. The video screen only showed static along with eerie noises of growls and screeching. Everyone was surprised when Johnny hadn't shown up in the test world. Most of the people had different reactions to Johnny suddenly disappearing, most were in a state of shock. While a few of Johnny's rivals were smirking at it.

Nearby Johnny's younger teammate Terry sat faithing over whether he would become the next Johnny. He was worried that he would get taken out in the next race, but also couldn't help wanting fame.

On the opposite side of the track Johnny's rival Brandon laughed with a satanic tone. "Serves him right." He amused himself.

The people affected the most were Jamie and his fans and other supporters of Johnny.

Jamie sat there next to Terry and Jimmy. He sat there with a depressed look on his face.

Suddenly, the screen began to change from static to getting a clear picture of Johnny in the test realm. Everyone was surprised to see Johnny and he wasn't alone.

Jimmy eyes widened in surprise that Johnny somehow managed to transform the prototype into a Humvee. What really caught his eye were the others with him. There were five woman that looked like fairy tale creatures with robotic limbs were at his side. The camera showed Johnny pulling up with the group to the check in. A commentator that was in the form of a humanoid rift eater approached them. Everyone had mixed reactions to seeing the beast. Most people were starching their heads or looked confused. While others just watched calmly thinking it was a publicity stunt.

"I don't remember that being a feature in the test realm along with those fairy tale hotties." Jimmy said with his mouth hanging open.

The humanoid rift eater spoke to the audience. "Well looks like Johnny has finally arrived for the Death Derby 500. Will he claim victory or die trying." The rift eater said with a chuckle.

The broadcast was soon refocused back on Johnny at the start finish line. The five other members of his group were nowhere to be seen. An add compane for the Loathing One could be seen scrolling across the bottom of the tv. As the starting lineup was being called. After the line up was finished the countdown for the green was underway. The broadcast was taken away for a commercial break featuring a campaign of the Loathing One. Most people ignored it. As they waited. Many people decided to make bets to see if Johnny would live or not. Soon the commercial ended and the race went to green for the first portion of the race.

Everyone af the track watched with awe and terror as Johnny drove on. The broadcast would be interrupted several more times with the same campaign. Jimmy was getting annoyed with it. Terry was mesmerized by it but was snapped out of it by Jimmy. Other people started to be influenced by the message. They watched the race all the way up until the conclusion. Johnny had ended up winning the race. What the tv didn't show was Johnny nearly dying. The scene was altered to show Johnny taking the trophy before the feed cut out.
