Subduing Lizardmen (2)

Michael and the nameless lizardman stared themselves down for half a minute before both of them suddenly sprang into action. The Clear Crystal Spear carved a path through the air as the nameless lizardman thrust it forward, her eyes sharp, cool, and calculated. The direction of the spear made it clear that she was intending to strike a Michael's eye, a rather simple and exposed weak point. 

Michael easily sidestepped the spear, using his sword to push the shaft of the spear to the side as he made another rapid step forward. His sword was primed to take out one of the eyes of the lizardman, but she suddenly tilted her head to the side at the last moment, causing the sword to slide past her head, only leaving a shallow cut on her cheekbone. Blood leaked out of the wound immediately, following the trajectory of the blade.
