Elemental Mana Crystals

Michael and Krystal retreated the way they had come and went down the right path. There was nothing of note there, except the mana crystals that bedecked the walls.

"Is there seriously nothing interesting here?" Michael murmured to himself as they went.

"Actually, there is something that I think you might find interesting." Krystal suddenly spoke up.

"Oh? What might that be?" Michael's interest was piqued.

Krystal thought for a moment before explaining, "Toward the end of the tunnel, and in the cavern at the end, the mana crystals there are... weird." She said, not really knowing how to explain it properly.

"Weird? How are they weird?" Michael was confused. He did not understand what she had meant by saying the mana crystals were weird. Were they tainted, or weaker?

"They... They have colors." She eventually said, and Michael's eyes widened with shock.
